The Joker is one of the most craftiest villians in a franchise ever, think about it, he fooled batman throughout the game with clayface and now he's *supposedly* dead and batman himself took him right out the front gates of arkham city to the open world. Taking note the craftiest part, he could have done a numerous things to make it look like he's deceased so guys don't believe everything thing u see in batman movies and comics included

@norwegianoutcast The lazarus pit was destroyed by batman when he threw the sword at the thing joker was in, and it knocked clayface in the lazarus pit, so in result, only the lazarus pit one isn't correct. But the rest are good possibilites.

The Joker didn't die. If you notice, after the machine crashes into the lazarus pit Batman is knocked unconcious and the antidote is in his right hand instead of his left. The Joker simply acted that all out, knowing he was already immortal.

If he did really die, then everyone should just get read for Joker Jr. in the next game.

I think after the explosion, when he was unconcious, Clayface came back out of the Lazerus Pit and turned into the Joker that died. While real Joker cured himself and ran off.

My theory: Joker is 100% dead. And if Hamill ever decides to come back to play Joker, they can write the story that Harley took him to a Lazarus Pit or something. Which would make an excellent plot point as the Pit would make Joker sane and he could be an ally of Batman's for the whole game, but then go insane at the end.

And they make some hints, like the theatre sign reading "Joker The Immortal" and the phone call. And if you have the catwoman dlc there is a portrait called duality of men, it looks exactly like when batman was carrying the joker out of the theatre.
