There's one thing I don't get; the code didn't say WHICH shelf for them to go to. It just said the directions, but not the shelf.

Though I do wonder about the pool: Why couldn't they have just stepped over the pool water and onto the ledge containing the remote? After all, they could pick up the RC boat from stairs leading into the water, and it wasn't that far from the goal.
