  • its about time there was footage of JOHNNY KIDD AND THE PIRATES hasnt anybody got a clip to post one of the greats of all time .R.S.G or lucky stars??? he must be the only one not on youtube. Please Please Please somebody ...Keith.

  • didnt johnny die in a car crash in atherton, manchester in 60s travelling from a gig in leigh

  • Great band in all of its formations. At the 60s live shows they had the best sound system. Along with The Hollies. The piano player sounds like Sid Phillips on Cliff Bennett &The Rebel Rousers' first records wih Joe Meek. Same echoey sort of sound.& just as manic.

  • Just gotta love this song, one of the best dancing songs there is, great stuff. :-*

  • this was the last single by the difinitive pirates,Alan Caddy,Brian gregg, and clem cattini.the b side was So What ,they left for joe meek and TheTornados of Telstar fame

  • the photos should be of alan caddy brian gregg clem cattini and morgan jones and not the pics shown, these are a later band

  • Another brilliant 'b' side. Is that 'Thunderclap' Jones on the piano? Love it!

  • the penny dropped when i saw that picture of thunderclap jones. he's morgan jones who wrote a lot of songs with bill crompton. they both featured in a very funny short narrated by spike milligan called "spike milligan on treasure island" around 1961
