  • Hi, when im in Combi mode to have favorites sounds, when i switch between them eg: Organ to piano, it stops.I mean the sound. What can i do to remove that because in a show its not really cool?...And i saw that in prog mode i can put sounds in the User section but when i do the transfer eg: M50 piano to the user 16 cat., the piano sound leaves the keyboard cat. and after i can only access to this piano sound in the user 16 cat. How to put it back to its place? Thanks

  • Hey Rich, what would be the best way to trigger the music I've recorded in sequencer mode to play live through a PA with a full band while I'm playing another instrument and with out it messing up the time for the drummer? I've recorded piano/synth parts using the m50 sequencer for the chorus and bridges in my music and would like to trigger those parts to be played live. Is there a way I can do this? Thank you for any help you can provide.

  • These videos are so helpful! Wish I would have found these in the first few weeks when I had the keyboard, struggling my way through learning how to all of this XD Something I have yet to find out though is if you can save tracks to the computer? I have been using it with the M50 editor but I wanna somehow save my tracks to the computer as files that can be played (i.e mp3 or something like that) is this possible? if so, how? :)

  • I found the tutorial very useful, but I'm still having a problem... I have loaded a new lead patch from the sd card and I want to use it on my temple song, but when select this patch, the m50 load it with no effects at all, and as you can imagine...it is a horrible sound without effects so... How can I do that?? Thanks!

  • @mcmartin1992 While you're in SEQ mode, touch the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner, and select "Copy From Program." Then, you can select the Program you were using, and copy the effects as you heard them in Program mode. Be forewarned that if you're doing this after loading a Template Song, this will overwrite the effects that the Template Song loaded.

  • this was actually very helpful ty now i can make my intrumentals and get my buisiness going again your awesome for teaching people this :)

  • Is it possible to tranfer the audio from m50 to computer via MIDI out with midi cable or it only goes via USB cable?

    Thank you.

  • @pikne The MIDI and USB ports can both transmit the same data, but neither one transfers actual audio. You'll need to connect the M50's audio outputs to your computer's audio interface.

  • very helpful. Concise and to the point.

  • Hello ....how to save my compo on "sequence mode" and load when i restart my korg .....i can not .......please help me it's very important for me .....it is an SD card ?

  • @gunsmoke83460 The M50 will not automatically load sequence files, but you can have it wake up at the last selected Program or Combi:

    1. Go to GLOBAL mode

    2. Touch the Sys.Pref. tab

    3. Change the "Power On Mode" to "Memorize."

  • how can you transfer songs from your korg m50 to your computer? and how can you then edit your songs on the computer? ....How do you make a full song, not just a loop, on the korg m50?

  • @jawapote28 Songs can be stored on an SD card as MIDI files, and transferred to computer via an SD card reader. If you have a DAW or MIDI sequencing program on your computer, you can also record the song from one sequencer to the other.

Please see our M3 sequencing videos for details on making a full song.

  • hello,i got an oasys 88 and once i'am in the template song mode,i can't hear the pattern i'am trying to load with the start button of the sequencer like you do at 1,35.

what should i do, thanx for helping

  • Please make sure:

    a) You put a check in the box marked "Copy pattern to track too"

    b) You touch the onscreen "OK" button at least once while the "Copy Pattern to Track" window is open. This is what actually loads the pattern onto the track, not the START/STOP button.

If this still isn't working (and you're in the USA), please contact our product support department. Thanks!

  • This also applies to Bluesmike86's question: You'll need to connect the audio outputs of the M50 to a computer's audio inputs, and use a recording program to capture the audio as you play it back on the M3. If you have an external audio recorder, you can use this as well.

  • Hi! Witch way is the easyest way to take your finnished seqencer recording and make it a audio recording?

  • please, somebody tell me,where can I find saved template song?I recorded it,saved it,but I can't find it anywhere.can it be saved without any cards?I know that to save sequence you need SD card..is it same as saving template song or saving sequence means something else.

    thank you

  • Any1 know how to zoom in in sequencer track edit mode? Thanks a lot

  • To save a sequence, you'll need an SD card. Once it's inserted into the back of the M50, press the MEDIA mode button, then touch the "Save" tab, then touch the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner, and select "Save SEQ."

  • really i buy m50 and i still got warranty in guitar center so i think that i have to return the m50 to guitar center ...because i dont know how to save sequencer on it really i need help fast

  • there is not exist one video that explains how to save the sequencer on the m50.

  • Can you make a whole beat on it without pc? I mean, can you make patterns and all?

  • Not once did you actually mention saving what you have recorded. its all great saving your recording settings saving but when it actually comes to writing down your ideas they are only going to exist as long as your keyboard is turned on.

  • I agree with you totally, I've been trying to figure out how to save the songs I make to my computer. I haven't found not ONE video that explains how to do this.

    Please, somebody explain!

  • This is probably too late to be of help, but I found a great way to record songs from the Korg to a laptop. I bought a PreSonus AudioBox USB recorder ($150) that sits between the Korg and the laptop. You just take the left/right speaker cables and plug those into the left/right inputs on the front of the AudioBox, connect a USB cable from the AudioBox to your computer, and fire-up the included StudioOne software and you've got a recording studio. You'll also need a WAV to MP3 Converter.

  • @Nostradamus86 Our two-part Basic Sequencing tutorial includes details on saving your songs. Just check in the KorgUSAVideos channel.

  • @AdelePease Please see our other sequencing tutorial videos for details on saving your songs. They are shown with an M3, but the procedures are similar on the M50.

  • @AdelePease Please see our video "Korg M3- Basic Sequencing (Parts 2)- In The Studio With Korg" for details on how to save. It is shown with an M3, but the procedures are similar on the M50.

  • Just dont tell Jerry i said that, he is about to kill me anyways!

  • That feature makes most of the musicians Invalids and the music sound like $hit...everything sounds the same.

  • That's what the last few seconds of this video are about (starting at 4:35). Once you record a few tracks, and the musical idea sounds good, you can go back and modify anything you want... the programs being used, the effects, the rhythm, anything. It's a good foundation, but it definitely doesn't need to be your finished product. Also remember that you can create your own templates easily in Global mode, using your own unique sound.

  • very good, hope to see more of this

  • Great video, just what i was looking for

  • thnx was looking for this
