Had to watch this twice because after "I secretly love Joel Osteen," I was laughing so hard I couldn't hear anything other than my own laughter! Well that and blowing my nose because I cried so hard with laughter!
I can't say how many times I've watched this and it's still got its funny. Part II needs Judith Butler references, a keg, the phrase "religion qua religion," a veiled judgment/condescension of atonement theology, and anything about ontology or epistemology. And maybe an encouragement to hold a few ideas "in tension."
As a seminary grad who *wasn't* an MDiv, I find this hilarious in the way that people who have relatives from Minnesota find the movie Fargo hilarious. You're awesome.
I'm trying to discern if I'm having a crisis of faith because you used the word "shit" in the title, or if I'm pushing back against it because I wish I was so witty.
Shit Folks Say to Seminarians: "You're in divinity school? I LOVE CANDY!!!"
