What a sick ass vid. Pit bikes are sweet. When you do a backflip you gotta keep your rpm up in the air, the more gas you give it the more air time and length you will get.

the more cc's you have mean the faster it goes, however strokes mean a whole nother thing, 2 strokes are super loud, and 3 strokes are slower at a take off generally but faster when maxed out... most company's are trying to push the whol 4 stroke idea because it is better for the enviroment!

2 strokes will usually take a 4-stroke for the first 20-30 feet of a race, then 4-stoke will eat em up, gaining the holeshot.  2 strokes do seem louder when standing next to them compared to a 4-stroke, but a 4-stokes deep "bark" cause them to be audible for miles.

Also, the bike companies are'nt pushing the

4-strokes out onto the market and discontinuing the 2-strokes because of the enviromental issues, its also the riders choices.  the new 4-strokes have alot more torque and seem to be much quicker in whoop sections.

and a bike's engine displacement (cc's) has nothing to do with the top end speed of the bike, its all gearing, for instance. i own a yz250f and a ktm 450sx, the ktm obviously has a higher displacement with a 4 speed transmission, my 250 has a 5 speed transmission and is much faster at max speed.

the contraversy between 2 and 4 strokes is a very much debated topic, it's not just 2 stokes are loud and more cc's means faster.
