How did we go from songs about "bread and butter" to songs about how much ass you can get in one night and how badass the singer thinks he is? I'm sorry to sound like my dad, but seriously-WHAT HAPPENED TO MUSIC!?
ya this song randomly popped in my head a few min ago, never listened to the song before but knew I heard that chorus sometime in my life, looked it up, listened, sweet.
I love this song and I'm only 14 some of the oldies are great I discovered this song while listening to it in my grandpas car and it just stuck unlike all the other songs he played
@frappucino887 Toasty for the toaster in *Brave Little Toaster Goes To Mars* This song is played on the opening via the radio.
Ratso the rat says "How about some rap! Radio: They don't call these golden oldies for nothing. Kirby the vaccum: Hit it radio! *radio turns up volume*
@m4tty2k9 I never knew the group that song this. I was looking for a song for Schmidt's Blue Ribbon bread ( Maryland) This song was used as an Ad for their bread. It goes like this " I like Bread and Butter, I like Toast and Jam. I like Schmidt's Blue Ribbon Bread it's my favorite brand.Don't give me no cheese and crackers, don't give me no BLT, I like Schmidt's Blue Ribbon Bread it's the one for me, yeah!yeah! yeah!" This was the same group that sing the song for the Ad. Have u heard the Ad B 4
i used to listen to this as a kid. it was awesome. we all thought it was the monkees. and we all thought this type of singing was normal for a guy too. high standards.
I think that the crappy sound comes from "Electronically Rechanneled for Stereo," which is what the record companies did back in the 60s to sell more records. Some drunk and/or stoned moron would sit at a sound board and switch the sound, on a MONO record, all over the place, and call it "stereo." I hate record companies just as much as I hate banks, insurance companies, Wall Street, commies, Nazis, and ALL polititians.
This was heard in a kitchen scene, I think the intro of Brave Little Toaster Goes To Mars but I haven't seen that film in 10 years so my memory is a lot bit sketchy.
Great song but not-so-good sound quality on this version. I'd love to hear this song in uncompressed 24-bit/192k sampling 7.1 surround sound format and on the upcoming Blu-ray Profile 3.0 Audio format which will VASTLY improve this song's sound quality!
Great song! Anyone seen 9 and a halk weeks with mickey rourke? This song reminds me of that great scene with him and kim basinger eating dirty! Is this the original or a cover?
Since byt the comments it seems most people haven't heard this song before, the high voice is actually a guy singing soprano. Fantastic song from back in the day.
Well Godzilla 1985 .... I assume you are pretty young because had you lived in the error when this song was popular you may of thought it was stupid but we didn't think things were GAY back then .... that was a word that was not used very often back then ..... then again the gays stayed in the closet in those days ......lol
this song is the best to have butt sex to (;

A Top 5 hit for The Newbeats in the fall of 1964. It also hit #15 in the United Kingdom and #8 in Australia. Their biggest hit.

I am Godzilla's age, and this is a good song.
He's un-eductaed drone who probably idolizes Britney and Jonas Brothers.
The only 'gay ' thing about this is his obvious self-loathing LOL Come out Godzilla!
