"If you want real protection get a gun"...Seriously? A little bit on the stupid side.. Just use your brain and think if somehow this person grabs my gun - how much shit will i be in then?? Dogs are better protection cause NOBODY can pick them up and use them against you..
You feel you need protection then buy a gun , or carry a baseball bat "DO NOT TRAIN A DOG FOR THIS" . You people make me sick. A gun or a bat can be fully controlled. A dog , even the best trained can make a mistake, Then you cry , sorry but he has never done that before. Sure he did because you trained him to be like that. To use an object in self defense you are accountable , to use a trained dog for defense should be a crime.
we live in a country where we have tight gun laws.Clearly you understand little about dog training. This dog is 10years old now and worked his entire life also with special needs kids, lives indoors with a large active family. Is very well socialized no one would even imagine the training he has done.
Having an UNTRAINED dog should be a crime thats CRUEL!
@TheIvanyoung I understand what your saying completely, I don't know that exact stats but I'd think there are way more accidental deaths from unsecured guns than trained protection dogs. There are more attacks from untrained dogs than trained protection dogs.
@TheIvanyoung Hahaha I agree in some cases a "guard dog" is stupid but the dogs are not being trained to be vicious in any way they are being trained to follow a command with a "trick" Like teaching a dog to sit. If trained right there is no harm in it.
@TheIvanyoung Do you own a Corso? Without a outlet for bite a Corso will bite when the time is wrong. This breed has to be taught when to bite. Soory never done that before happens when people think Corso are nice and play with them. This breed is not to played with it is a guard breed. Look up protection dogs. Buy a gun? I feel much safer knowing my dog can sniff a asshole wanting to rob me in the future when that person is at my home. My gun can't alert me like a dog.
@TheIvanyoung you obviously know jack shit about protection training... the point of it is to also get over aggressive and protective dogs to be under more control.
@TheIvanyoung Dude, people have been training dogs--just like this--to protect people and possessions for literally tens of thousands of years. It is the dog's natural protective instinct that humans first found appealing in the dog's ancestor, the wolf. Training harnesses this instinct and makes the dog more reliable, and sensitizes them to the ONLY situations where they will be required to demonstrate human-oriented aggression in the service of their master.
pointless using a stick unless ur going to hit him hard enough... since a real attacker is not exactly going to just "tap the dog" and thus won't be used to it.
try watching the video where he was being tested. this was just fun n training and his owner in the sleeve. This was for the dog to have fun, he has been more then tested n proven, why not allow him to enjoy just some fun.
Lots of energy in that boy. Is that a Corso or a bandog? Hard to say but he looks a lot like my male corso. I need to got back to work with my boy. But it's so hot down in Florida this time of year. I guess I'll have to get my butt up early in the morning. Once it hits 90 degrees, he's not interested in the sleeve. He's ready to go swimming!

A dog is a Tool, just one tool, in any sane Defense arsenal.
They are used by the Police, by the Military and should be utilized by civilians. We all have a right of self defense.
Dogs can assist to that end.
And a dog that is trained properly, knows when NOT to bite. That is the key to training.
Go away with your hippie, PETA bs.
Your life is not worth protecting.
