the old school WB was the shit. i miss it so much like Dawson's Creek, Roswell, Gilmore Grils, Buffy, Felicity, Smallville, 7th Heaven, Everwood. those were good shows. now everything is crap. i miss smg and joshua jackson and the stars from the 90s and early 2000s who could actually act. this generation of tv is not very good. i miss the WB network, it shouldve never closed. it really did define a generation =(

this basically sums up why i was born in the wrong decade. I was born in '92, and as the oldest of the kids in my family, i was stuck on disney and nick for atleast 12 or 13 years. I finally found Buffy 5 years ago, and became completely obsessed with it. That obsession grew to angel and then to most '90s shows (<3 Dawson's Creek! <3) I miss the shows that were able to hold your attention and tug at your heart strings. we need more shows like that!!!!!

That is so true...define a generation..Dawson's creek, Rosswell, Buffy and Felicity was my favs but the other like the spin-off Angel..and gilmore girls and even reba...make me who I am today...I'm young...but i'm also old enough to rememerber what means to every episode of Buffy...Everything that Felicity have been trought was like my own life...and dawson's creek...was my life...I even marry with my own pacey of my story...jajaja...I will never forget that time...that years!!

EXCELLENT COMPILATION. Gorgeous women too.

The CW tries hard, but it lacks the style WB had. They need to polish themselves some more - also try some off-the-wall programming like Buffy or Dollhouse. Vampire Diaries is a good step in that direction, but they need more.

As for why WB did not show finales, it's because those episodes were already "owned" by FX, SciFi, TNT, and other channels. WB Network only retained the rights to the very first episodes.

You see people, I'm a retro fan. I am open to the new, but I ALWAYS cherish the old that came before it. Is it just me or do we as retro fans always get the short end of the stick every time a decade plus long block or network closes, regardless of whether we get a "fair warning or not. (Please DO NOT take my ideas!)

Think about it. It kinda happened w/the WB itself. It happened to Kids WB. Fox Kids was operated on and changed so many times that they had to put it down, and Toonami was watered down into submission. If this was truly THE final broadcast of a network or block that has defined a generation such as the WB, then why not end it with all of the FINAL episodes. Who the HELL's idea was it to just air a few PILOT episodes of a FEW shows that didn't really define the block as much as others.

To tell you all the truth, I DID enjoy the farewell package w/Michigan at the end, but the episodes of the "selected" shows that aired sucked! I mean if this was THE final farewell to the WB network as a whole (The WB as well as Kids WB) why not end it with SERIES finales of ALL of their memorable shows INCLUDING Steve Harvey, Smart Guy, Sister Sister,etc. immediatly following the Kids WB farewell. But did they do that.... NO! I would barely except this as a FAREWELL compared to Toonami's.
