Night Owl is one of my favorite characters. He's such a complicated combination of things. Part of him is a normal middle aged dude who has a day job and appears to be extremely wimpy and somewhat boring. at the same time, he has an undercurrent of cocky bad ass (not to mention the best smirk I've seen in my whole life) that is a passionate super hero who is much more assertive and powerful. It's fun to see him slowly transition from one to the other throughout the movie.

btw i really like the night owl character in the movie and i seriously ask myself where these pounds are he put on for the role, especially when you see him naked or in the tight suit. was he a sceleton before shooting this movie? ^^ and yes i know, for the flashbacks he hadn't gained the weight, but in the present time he also wears the suit and makes love to silk spectre and he doesn't look overweighted at all.

No. I definitely don't think so. In my opinion,his features were a bit more chiseled. In his face you can tell, look at some older photos from around 2007. I think you see the "pounds" [barely, I know.] In his abs a little, and in his face, and that's really all.

he gained 25lbs but I guess it's hard to tell though the owl suit but you need to see him in his earlier films like Phantom of the Opera and Little Children, which has Jackie Earl Haley (Rorscache) in there too

I watched the movie and it definitely rocked. I so have to read the book. I give it a 10 out of 10.
