  • i wish i've watched your video before i copied that other youtuber's way of cutting her bangs... i messed up my hair BIG TIME! hahaha ill do your way next time.thank you for sharing this!

  • hi, i JUST cut my hair based on this video. it works PERFECTLY!! thanks :D

  • Itd be nice to see when you used the razor instead of only seing in part...

  • is there any specific styling to be done with sideswept bangs

  • @ThexLolahhx i'd say watch my how to cut bangs from scratch video. it explains how to part your bangs and whatnot.

  • My daughter has been raving about getting side-swept bangs so i decided to let her get it she has never had bangs and i was wondering if it is was better to get it done by a hairstylist or is it ok for me to do at home and i was wondering how can you keep up bangs Thanks xoxo!

  • @RandomNeonSwaggsters to keep up bangs, just trim them in the same fashion. you use the same techniques, just cut less :).

  • I did wat u did and now i look like a silly and i have skl tomorrow :(

  • I did wat u did and now i look like a spaz and i have skl tomorrow :(

  • Your really beautiful

  • were did u get the razor idk where to buy one plz n ty

  • I had the volume up too loud and the clapping scared me.

  • Hi I just subscribed after watching this vid. Recently I went to hairsalon and I got a very bad and short straight bang. :( I should have watched your video before I go there. I love this video soooooo much.

  • can you do this with just scissors?

  • @Fannywikstrom95 yes. i have a video for how to cut bangs with scissors; it's listed in the info box :).

  • go to 2:11 for the tutorial ..... thank you

  • nice cutting bangs ! ..

  • Hey I have a square face and for the LONGEST time i've been trying to find the right hairstyle/bang type for me. So far for my bangs i basically have it cut kind of straight, so i just brush it to the side... if you can PLEAZ PLEAZ give me advice!! :))

  • @LovePeaceBunny === yeah your right ! :)

  • Hi Jamie...I part my hair in the middle...but I want the side swept on both sides....how do I get that look?

  • @candylikeCA you would do it the same way she did but on both sides of your bangs

  • i don't have a razor .. what alternatives can i use? :)

  • @princesskeylee20 regular razors work well too but be careful

  • Very helpful video....but one question...if you dont have a razor can you do the same process with scissors??

  • U did it all rong u want to cut them straight across the push them to the side and if u use a raPt make sure to cut alot other wise u will get dead and frailed ends

  • @MegaOreo7 Learn proper English before you criticize someone.... Also she did it the way they teach you in beauty school, the only thing is that if you don't want fried ends you should do it on wet hair and the general rule for that is to cut it two-three inches longer than you want it because of the shrinking, and if it is too long you can touch it up when it is dry

  • @MegaOreo7 Hair cutting is nothing to troll about.

  • u look like allison from Teen Wolf!

  • Wish I had seen this video last week! Great tips. Thank you!

  • is this the same as the expertvillage technique?

  • umm...it looks weird

  • Idk what you usually call them but my bangs are like |||||||| Off my forehead and they are up to my chin now, they are shapless and I HATE them!! How do I get from this |||||| to side swept?!

  • wow looks well cutee xx ^^ gr8 tips btw x

  • @jaimiemet Thank You very much.. Your tips and the video worked very well :D

  • can u do scene hair

  • I have pretty thin hair, but I LOVE this hair style. And I'm really nervous about cutting my own hair, but do you think this would work with my thin hair?

  • You talk so low I couldn't hear anything you were saying and my volume was all the way up.

  • Thanks sooooo much!!! =D Really helped me out!!

  • Ok... I have side-bangs, and they were growing really long, so I tried to cut them (I hadn't watched the video yet). Now they're WAY short (not above-my-eyebrow short, but pretty damn close), in ugly, chunky bits instead of smooth (yes, I used scissors... MISTAKE!), and I hate them!!!

My hair grows pretty fast, but I want to fix these as soon as possible... CAN YOU HELP ME????

PS. I'm 13, so I can't drive over to a salon to get them fixed, and I can't tell my mom I cut my own hair; she'd flip.

  • @SmurfzRoxSox Try to soften the chunky bits with a razor without making it shorter, and let it grow out :)

  • ppl say tht cutting with those razor thingz hurt a lot. does it?

  • You DO NOT cut dry hair! It damages your hair, gives you split ends, and damages your razor.

  • Awesome video! I learned so much! Thank you, thank you!!! You are just adorable!!

  • thanks girl you hooked a sistah upppp.

  • i want my bangs like that but 1. my mom will NEVER let me cut my bangs and 2. the salon never does it right...they tell me it wont work with my hair and then they cut it all weird and it drives me nuts!! they dont really try to work with it or anything!!! ahhh!!

  • @bbygurl22996 thats when you should be like hey my hair cut it how i like it. trust me get a little bitchy they wont want to irritate you more and if they just do a bad job to piss you off grab some clippers and come at their head xD nothing illegal about shaving someone.

  • thank you very much your video helped me out a lot :)

  • Great vid. I am getting ready to go try mine. :-P

  • i just did mine watching your video , they turned out great ! thanks !

  • If so would you please tell me? It would be soooo helpful! :)

  • I was wondering, I have tried cutting my side-swept bangs before and they've turned out really bad! We've ended up going to the hairdressers anyway and just ended up getting all my hair cut and styled, and my bangs fixed. I'm only a teenager. My parents don't want me cutting my bangs because they think it'll turn out bad. (Cuz it has every other time) We only have normal full sized scissors. Does anyone have any tips on how I might be able to cut my bangs with regular sized scissors? If so it w

  • Can i just use a regular razor for this? :)

  • @paranoid788 you CAN. but it'd be a bit more difficult and possibly more painful.

  • Would this be possible for a fringe that parts both ways? Cause that's how I style my hair and so when I cut my own fringe, it's pretty difficult! But yeah, all of the side swept fringes I've seen tend to only work one way :( Thanks!

  • You're beautiful!!! I have quite a narrow forhead, do you have any tips. I'm guessing I should start far back to give it more volume? Thanks! Great video :)

  • did u dye ur hair cause i just dyed mine and mines the same color lol

  • i did

  • Thats just awkward and weird and terrible. I love you for that.

  • would this work for a selena gomez 2008 style?

  • @PeaceLoveJB96 yes.

  • Where do you get those clips from(the black one).?

  • @bubblebuz02 you can get them at sally's.

  • Heeyys,

    my hair is permed straight.

so how do i make my bangs side swept if its like straight & doesn't exactly "sweep" across your face ? :|

  • @xXorihemiXx when your hair is chemically altered like that, it makes it a bit more difficult to manipulate. i'd say your best bet is to use a flat iron to kind of mold your bangs into the shape you want them to be, and then hairspray. (watch my how to train your hair video for some more tips, i think it'd help.)

  • great video love your hair!

  • i havent cut my hair in about 6 months and my layers are pretty much gone. everytime i go to the hair stylist to get my hair cut they dont cut it the way i want it and i never know how to explain it. i like the choppy looking layers that are shorter than usual on top and add a bit of oomph or volume to my hair and the sideswept bangs but they always tell me they dont understand what im requesting. is there anyway i can explain it better? or should i just bring in a picture?

  • @bobmeetsfrank bring in a picture

  • what about using scissors

  • Thanks sooo much! My hair stylist messed up my bangs and now that you taught me how to cut them, they look better than ever! Thanks again!

  • @5:19 I thought you were going to slit my throat like Sweeney Todd!lol

  • Is it best to have more or less bangs?:D

  • did your part your bangs straight across or did u go diagonally?

  • You look alot like Jennifer Stone!

i thought you were Jennifer Stone

  • @LovePeaceBunny heh, she has much better cheekbones than i do.

  • @LovePeaceBunny omg i was gona write that hahah

  • Question here.

I have long, parted down the middle, grown out hair, and first layer originally went on the other side so now it's at a downward facing angle on the opposite side. Thing is is, I reeaaallly need a haircut but can't get one for a while, so i was thinking of just giving myself a bit of a bang until I can get a haircut. So finally, my question is should I try to or should I just leave my hair the way it is until I can get it done professionally?

  • @Highasthesky22 if i were you, i'd wait. you may mess up your layering if you try to do it yourself (since you're going to be changing your part).

  • You have a pretty face and gorgeous hair! :) Love the vid thanks!

  • more choppy choppy,

    less talky talky. [ ;

  • @JasmineShanteFL lmao No kidden haha

  • thanks for the video. i've been researching how to cut my bangs on my own, and this was by far the best video! THANKS! (:

  • thanks, this helped :)

  • Thank you for this video!!!! Exactly what I've been looking for!

  • i really want you to cut it cuzz u do it the exxact samway that i want it and u do it really well. do u work at a salon?(:

  • where can you purchase a razor comb from other than online??

  • hahaha, ''thats just..akward, and weird, and terrible.''

  • do u have a salon or work at a salon i can come to and im balack so i have really nappy hair so if i flat ironed it would it be possible to cut it with out it shrinking and i also have glasses so would it be ugly with bangs plz answer someone

  • what if you flat iron them

  • i luv that razor ^^

  • Do you think it would work on black people cuz my hair is really nappy but my mom said i can get bangs in 8th grade

  • they're gonna shrink *pause*..HAHAHAHA!

  • 5 if you mess up just remeber its just hair u guys... it grows back so dont sweat it :)

  • @Geraffo but you need to live those few weeks with short ugly bangs. LOL

  • im a 12 year old i wanna totally cut it like that but i mean im young to cut my hair i might ruin it i dunno wat to do :(((

  • ur cuuuuute :)

  • besides cutting ur own bangs, do u also cut ur own hair?

  • @dreamangel6368 generally, no. i will "edit" my haircuts, adding new layers and texturizing and whatnot, but i never give myself full haircuts.

  • I HAVE A QUESTION!

    is it supposed to hurt?

When I tried this it hurt! Like i was ripping out hair?

idk... it still came out cute.. but yahh...

  • @zombiebeautyqueen haha, i wouldn't say that it is SUPPOSED to hurt, but it's not abnormal if it does. if you are using a dull razor, it will hurt more. if it hurt that badly, you need to use a sharper razor.

  • Finally, a video from SCRATCH. quick question jaimie: what if you cant make up your mind to which side exactly that you want your bangs to fall? i've heard that for volume you should part your hair opposite side from where it naturally falls???

  • tanku but im having my hair cut today

  • you talked like a man in 7:22

  • Thanks, this was extremely helpful! :D

  • awesome vid! I've watched zillions of bang vid's, and this one was THE most helpful!!

  • Is there any "In" short style at the moment? I really want short hair but am not sure how to have it cut :/ Any ideas? x

  • great vid! thanks so much!!

  • it seems so much easier with a razor! thanks (.=

  • Honestly...this helped alot. I have been searching all over youtube for a video starting off from practically scratch. Thanks!

  • that is really good to hear. :)

  • I don't have time to go and get a razor right now. I've had a friend pass away and got to deal with all that but need to trim my bangs that are already side swept. Any tips for regular sheers, my hair dresser is BOOKED solid.

  • the easiest way to do it would be to point cut (like i do in my full bang video). but at an angle instead of going straight across.

  • well i went to get side swept bangs and the person who cut it messed up really bad but it's a pretty thin layer do you know anyway I can kinda fix it and/or like hide it or something?
