  • come on i have 2009 :(

  • i have just the material editor i don't have the "slte material editor" what i mean is i only have what is called in this video "materials map browser"

is it a diffrent version or is it something else

  • @splitkostanjeuma You need 3ds Max 2011 or later to get the Slate Material Editor.

  • @3dsMaxHowTos thanks that clears it up i got 2010 version

  • That is a hot voice.

  • ThankYou I really like 3Dsmax but didn't know how to texture these videos explained alot haha

  • my material editor looks nothing like that. its all buttons and parameters, a lot less intuitive to use. Is it because i'm using 3dsmax2010 or am i really missing something?

... oh, i see now. gotta get 3dsmax2011 asap :(

looks so much easier to use

  • @GraveUypo same here ... but i think there is a way to change it so it looks like in 2011 ...

    HELP PLEASE

  • @XpVersusVista nah, i looked around and it turns out its a new feature. theres even a video on youtube about it :(

  • @GraveUypo you can't do it with this line-drawing-thing but you are able to do the things in the video ;D but i want to know if i can change the download-files so that i can use them ...

  • @XpVersusVista i know about that. i know the basics to materials like making realistic wood and such. i just liked this new material editor MUCH better than the old one.

  • @GraveUypo yes it looks quite easier and you don't have to click so many little buttons ^^
