You are absolutely right; the London Eye was in the original plans for the Palace of Westminster by Sir Charles Barry, but the government decided in the end that they didn't want to spend too much money.
I was being sarcastic; I'll have you know that even the world-famous Clock Tower was not in the original design for the Houses of Parliament. It was an after-thought.
And the London Eye was supposed to be dismantled after 5 years; like the Eiffel Tower, it was designed as a temporary attraction.
Seriously, we can spot "mysterious" connections and all sorts of patterns everywhere if we want to. For all I know, the next video could describe the Cow Parade as a sign of the impending Apocalypse...
It's a pity cameras didn't exist in the 1840s, or I'm sure Pugin would have found a way to turn them into Gothic ornaments fitting with the rest of the decoration.
