  • I'M ITALIAN

  • @GrangerGlass...I beg to differ. On a single fuel torch, say, a beginners hothead or such, using only propane, no additional oxy, coated glasses aren't a necessity.

A torch such at this, using either Propane or Mapp & tanked or processed oxy (not the two fuel lines?) the flare is much more damaging. You may not notice it now, but you may very well be sorry 20 years from now. Not to mention, the danger of shocky glass flying in your eyes. Is your vision worth it? Just a thought.

  • Bella ITALIA,

like _JAMes (Jim) Caviezel_ enthused : _ Viva Italia!_

    Che Bello Murano !

  • WHAT THE HELL KIND OF ENGLISH IS THIS?!?1

  • Haha, so that's what a studio looks like when you've got shit tons of money.

  • Great video, terrible English!!!

  • Was that some kind of foil he layed on there or was that dicro?

  • Wooooooooow

yeah I think after about 15 minutes of staring at glasssurfer's torch my retina's were feeling it!

Goggles are the shit for sure.

  • hes gonna be blind in a few years

  • I have been to Murano and seen the glass blowing first hand. Its is truly amazing art and the glass is unbelievably strong.

  • Very educational!

  • He might think he's to good to wear glasses.

  • haha ikr..

  • This video is very nice! :-D

  • This vid is so cool, but maybe the man should use goggles just in case. Accidents happen, you know.

  • Nice vid. really like it.

  • The young lady's narration is adorable. I wish I could go to Murano and Venice.

  • it's soft glass so he doesn't have to sit and melt for a long time but I still dont know how he takes it...

  • Someone please give this man some proper eye protection. It hurts my eyes just to watch this.

  • you don't really have to wear glasses when flame working. The orange sodium flare does not damage your eyes. But if you get colored boro very hot the glass will get bright enough to hurt your eyes.

  • but he should atleast be wearing safety glasses. hot glass+eyes = baaddd.

  • @GrangerGlass You can deff see what your doing in the flame a lot better...

  • well that is pretty bad but his work is more based on melting the end of a rod and dripping it onto the piece, melting the end of a rod is not hard and you dont need to look at it much. Most lampworkers draw thier color on more than dripping it like he does.

  • wtf he's not wearing glasses!?!?!
