Ruckman used to come to my church every one or two years. It was the only time of year i actually enjoyed a sermon. The guy is a total nutcase with wacky interpretations of some already wacky enough material. Love him to death though. Played hockey with us after almost every sermon haha

Hmmm... It is not only the "early MSSs" argument that the 1611 Translators used but now it is the very simple fact that koine Greek is now known and Hebrew is better understood. The many errors in the 1611 make it severely deficient for in depth study and the contradictions in the 1611, because of faulty MS's, rendered the 1611 vulnerable to open ridicule by atheists.

I've met Doc many times and he can be difficult to pin down. The last time was at our church about 6 yrs ago. As he was leaving I was able to talk a bit with him and he really perked up when I pulled out his book "The errors in the King James Bible" and actually stopped walking to discuss the book. He said HE THOUGHT it was one of his most important books and if anyone was to have just one written by his, this was the one. I suspected this and he signed my copy.
I met Dr. Ruckman about 10 years ago at his church, I probably won't get back that way again due to the distance. Thanks for letting those that appreciate his teaching and preaching see a current view of how he is doing.
I don't need to agree with everything he says or does to appreciate his contribution to a dispensational understanding of the scriptures, and to acknowledge his accomplishments for the sake of Jesus Christ.

The preface is very revealing in that the Translators admitted that they didn't know what some words meant and they also cited the Septygint at least 13 times. There alot more.

My Pastor was at Hugh Pyle's funeral a few weeks ago and Dr. Ruckman was there. Hugh Pyle was the man who led Brother Ruckman to the Lord. They asked for everyone who was led to the Lord by Brother Pyle to stand, and several people including Dr Ruckman stood up. Bro. Pyle died a week after his wife. They were married for over 70 years - an amazing testimony. Thanks for sharing this video Bryan!

Waite cites evidence of some twenty MSS containing it (those confirmed are 61, 88mg, 629, 634mg, 636mg, omega 110, 429mg, 221, and 2318) along with two lectionaries (60, 173) and four citations by the Church Fathers (namely, Tertullian, Cyprian, Augustine, and Jerome).

@BrianMcClurg1 Only 9 late manuscripts have this verse and only 5 have this in the text (the others have it in the margin). It is clear that this was a Roman Catholic addition and the Vulgate with it's marginal note caused the RC's to put pressure on Erasmus to insert it into his Greek NT. Erasmus, btw, was a RC priest.
Also, there are at least 15 places where the words "God forbid" occurs in the NT of the KJV but "Theos" is entirely absent in the Greek. Taking the name of God in vain!

I actually keep a KJV in my car at all times and when I preach it is not unusual for me to quote a verse from the KJV. However, I KNOW where many of the errors are in the KJV; you'll never hear me quote 1John 5:7 or Acts 8:37 because those verses were later insertions.
I debate atheists! Can you without using circular reasoning?

@JimDeferio I can and do defend my position, I just have learned how to spot a hypocrite whose main purpose is to strive about words. (2 Tim. 2:14) 1 Tim. 6:3-5 describes people like you perfectly. You debate people and act like a Christian, but in your heart you don't even believe in the bible/bibles you quote. HYPOCRITE!

Also, you would do well to read articles and books from people with proven character and scholarship like James White (who Ruckman is afraid to debate) and Dan Wallace. Similarly, The "early MSs" arguments are fundamentally irrelevant to the sound Biblical doctrine of Scriptural preservation in its entirety by the LORD, and His fully truthful preservation is of necessity a matter of historical fact no less than the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ of Whom the Holy Scriptures testify.

I have been up close and personal to James White at a Muslim debate. White is petulant,unaproachable and has an obvious persecution complex manner about him. He is what you would refer to to as a cut and paste "scholar". I would still like to know if he obtains any royalties of any kind from the Lachman foundation or not. Since you are so stuck on qualifications why don't you compare Whites to Ruckman's and see which one prevails. PS I have met Ruckman a number of times as well

Thank you so much for sharing this video. I listen to Dr.Ruckman every day. He's a brilliant teacher. So very sad to hear about his eyesight failing now and will pray that the Lord will not let his eyes deteriorate further. Peter Ruckman's chalk talks are first class and God has and is using him mightily. I don't know of any other preacher/teacher like him. Thank you again brother. God bless you.

My Pastor was at Hugh Pyle's funeral a few weeks ago and Dr. Ruckman was there. Hugh Pyle was the man who led Brother Ruckman to the Lord. They asked for everyone who was led to the Lord by Brother Pyle to stand, and several people including Dr Ruckman stood up. Bro. Pyle died a week after his wife. They were married for over 70 years - an amazing testimony. Thanks for sharing this video Bryan!
