@FlamingTrashInc Funny. No one here pays attention to the screen name of the uploader of the video.
Thought FTI had relevance to the SUBJECT of the video - like the initials of the railroad or something.
Would be interesting to see the two gauges merge and how they change the trucks (bogies).
Do they have both rails of the standard gauge track run inside the broad gauge track so the bogie pivots remain perfectly centered? (Not one rail common to both gauges.)
@robertgift I'd beg to differ on that. At that paticular depot, there is one dual gauge track which has a common rail. The rest of the yard are seperate gauges that join at the turntable,The roads off the table are obviously dual gauge. The bogie swap was done using a crane, slide out old bogie and replace with new then drop loco back on bogies.
Nice catch!
From what gauge to what gauge?
Why not explain in terms that everyone can understand?
"FTI"?

@FlamingTrashInc Thank you.
I thoughthey may have one four-rail dual-gauge track for the bogey swap so the bogie pivots are centered.
Lift locomotivenough to push old out and push new in.
That would be interesting to see.
