@tishie321 well if your gums are bleeding then they are definitely telling you something lol. it seems like you have gingivitis due to plaque build-up or bacteria. when brushing your teeth gently brush the gums as well. FLOSS YOUR TEETH oh and don't forget the insides of your teeth.. you shouldn't be using the baking soda EVERYDAY so switch off between reg toothpaste and the baking soda...i have braces so my ortho taught me how to brush very well :P

Also in case some people were wondering it is not good to do this every day at all, what it will do is it can damage your teeth and make them very sensitive, you want to do it once every 2 weeks or once a week at most. But if you want to do it it can work, just remember, drinking dark colored liquids stains your teeth and so does smoking.

Hi It work primarily as an abrasive. Not recommended but add vinegar for additional effect. Dont use it excessively wear of enamel is essentially irreversible and will make your teeth more "dentine coloured" eventually. Rinsing with Baking Soda can be anticariogenic.
