you cant really OD on lsd, but can lose your mind and touch with reality if you trip hard enough and ont find your way back, but the commercial says he freaked out and choked his friend, that could easily happen if someones gets scared enough the first time they do it, not knowing what it is like, if you are going to trip, do it responsibly, in a safe place, a place that makes you happy, with people that know what the drug can do

Exactly. It's very unlikely that you'd be able to control yourself very well on your first acid trip. Supervision is my reccomendation for first-timers, until you can learn to control yourself under the influence.

Well, just like with everything else, moderation is the key. Just don't get stupid with ANY drug and your prolly going to be ok after all is said and done so long as you don't mind a bit of brain damage(screw it, your still employable). Way i see it. The OD was aimed at drugs and their users as a general statement. At this point all evolution is kinda at weird point in that our environment isn't exactly hostile, cripples/mentally handycapped will survive, potentially reproduce and pass on their defects. So, with that goin on im more than happy to accomidate people who want to be irresponsible with their choice of recreation and kill themselves in the proccess... my freeway isn't getting any emptier on its own.

By the way, LSD does cause hallucinations, alter moods (in a rather quick fashion), flashbacks, and psychosis is usually experienced during the trip itself, if it caused at all however it is because of the user. LSD psychosis has been linked to forms of schizophrenia, and thus, to some physiological disorders -- it appears to be dependent on the user, and not on the drug.

Having hallucinations and altered moods are the reason why people take LSD. I hate it when people try to spin them off like its a bad thing. Seeing interesting colors, patterns, and feel emotions that are unparalleled is a phenomenal experience. As for flashbacks and psychosis, the percent of people who actually suffer from these are >5% in the United States, and of those a high percentage already had a predisposition to mental illnesses from their family.

I JUST tries lsd the other night, my "dark place" was quite literally me floating around seeing myself floating around in a dark place, I never once had any horrible feelings or regrets after and in fact wish to try it again at some point, and I took more than one my first time, the drug is only bad to take alone and if you take FAR too much of it, the car ride I went on where the lights turned the road into a roller coaster then at some point the road was above us was amazing.
