I was there! the tickets were actually free because of the recording for TV. That was a year before my military service, i'm a dinasour! Siamese and Gish was the only stuff we knew about this great band.
do you notice that fans today just stand around and stare at the stage as if they think they are being scouted for a reality tv show. i freaking hate today's fans of music. they are fucking narcissistic sissies.
I know what you mean, but don't blame people for the slop they're being force-fed. A lot of people who are susceptible to the pandering charms of American Idol or whatever don't know any better. You have to remember that the same was true in much of the 80s & early 90s. SP was part of a movement that was liberating mainstream music from the doldrums of cynical, mass-marketed crap—that's part of why it was exciting/inspiring.
@MancKev Good point, but man this was "IT", this was amazing talented music! I want more honey and I want more Pumpkins. Thanks for all the uploads, cd's are great, but it's good to see some great raw shit!
@Tool19781 I would take thier honey all day long man =) and no probs for the videos..glad to do it..people these days see the 'new' pumpkins and they think thats what they are all about..I try my best to get more people to see the 90's pumpkins..this is what pure feel good music is all about..pumpkins will always be and I swear I will have a big SP symbol and the words ZERO on my gravestone haha;)
I was fifteen then. I was born in 1979. How fitting. Two of my friends are in the 1979 video. One guy, Phil O'Connor, is seen walking up to the house. The other guy, also named Phil, is seen pushing some dumb broad away in the face in the party scene. They were paid 75 bucks a piece. I'm pissed I missed it.
@AdriaPenguin i hearr you man... i live in toronto and i found out they've played live here before... i was all like :'( wish i was a teen in the 90s :(
I was delivering pizzas down the A13 in East London listening to the Top 40 on BBC Radio 1 in August 1993. This was a new entry at number 33, when it came on I pulled over and just sat there gob smacked, I just could not believe how good they were.
One of the first songs that comes to mind when somebody mentions 'grunge'. Siamese Dream was one of my favorite albums from them, and to this day still gets played.
@calamitus999 some of us have and idea and are trying to bring real music back :) it's kinda hard though when 85 % of the young are retards who like t-pain and lady gaga more than this stuff :/

@Bagelbutcher Seriously, it's getting really annoying reading the same comment. i mean, i let this magic slip into my ears, and then you automatically rip it out with your cold words...i love you! <3
i fucking love the pumpkins, i played this in my guitar class at school. i was starting out soo i couldnt bust out the solo. but i still felt pretty bad ass. although it was acoustic but that doesnt matter

My father introduced me to all that shit and to this day i swear 90-97 was the best era of music ever. this makes me so nestalgic! Alice in chains def best band of the era though
Yup Tallica. It's show-business, not show-friends. Many of the greats operate in the same way I bet. It's really what separates an album like this from other crap bands like Candlebox and such. SP were truly original during this time, they were the real deal.
When I hear about Iha and Darcy bitching, it reminds me of that bit from SNL where Hartman plays Sinatra, he spells it out for Herb & Edie..."You can open for me at The Meadowlands or headline at the Tick-Tock Inn, you're choice!" LOL
I disagree halo. If it wasn't for Billy's perfectionist attitude and tension in the band during the recordings of Siamese Dream, Smashing Pumpkins wouldn't have ever gotten the credit they deserve or have made one of the best albums of all time. The only person Billy Corgan would've let to do the bass and guitar work is Jimmy Page because to be quite honest Iha and Darcy are out of Corgan's league.

Iha left cause Billy thought that DArcy started drugs cause of him cause Iha and DArcy were in a relationship b4 that and so Iha got offended and left came back in '99 to do the last show at the metro in chicago and never spoke to him again
That's interesting, I gotta wonder why Billy cared so much for a women he called "A Mean spirited drug addict."
That said Billy should get off his high throne and talk to Iha. They both need each other badly, D'arcy needs back in too, her life has been stuck in free fall for the past decade.
It will never happen, but they all need each other again, Chamberland or not.
