  • I beg to differ...I have been selling insurance in GA for quite some time & I have never seen a $1 mil liability policy costing a few dollars more a year than a $100k policy. Maybe a couple $100 more if you have a squeaky clean MVR, CLUE, & credit. Agents get paid a percentage of the premium so why wouldn't we want to up sell for higher coverage? Your video is very misleading. You need to take your challenge to the state govts that mandates the limit requirements.

  • There are no good auto insurance companies, they all want you to take fender bender accidents lightly but the truth is a fender bender could cause major permanent injuries. An insurance company refused to renew my friend's insurance as a way to punish him for seeking treatment and the accident was not his fault. They also called him an unacceptable driver which makes it difficult for him to find another insurer. They want your money but will cause you much stress after an accident, it's a scam

  • I don't have any insurance at the moment. however, i am looking what tipes could you give me when looking for the best one? what questions should i ask? what should i be watching out for befor sineing the ...........line?

  • AMERICAN AUTO INSURANCE IS GREAT SO CALL 1-888-762-6756 they have the best deals.

  • @MrFixcredit fucken bull shit.

  • this lawyer wants higher uninsured motorist coverage so he can sue for larger settlements.

  • save tons of car insurance ->buzzurl .info<-

  • cheapest auto insurance ( -buzzurl .info- )

  • Can I save on insurance by purchasing a "Mini Global GPS Tracker with GPRS connection from amazon"?

  • Insurance is a scam that makes very little sence. I'm sorry. If I report an accident to my insurance the rates go up??? My insurance company is the last place I would call if I did get into an accident!!! I pay $75 a month for liability which is basically a non-probuct!!! What about the fact that I have paid thousands of dollars for absolutly nothing in return??? Insurance hurts the average low income safe driver. I will be expecting a fat check in 2012 ( the golden age) Drive Safe My People!!

  • most clients DO NOT WANT that much coverage. They do not think they wil get in an accident. Plus USAA has really good rates. That is not the norm. I agree with you that Everyone should have High limits. Some people think 1,000,000 is too much insurance and do not want to pay the extra money. Most peole have no or state min insurance.

  • If you live in Azusa, Covina, Baldwn park , Call the broker Edgardo Roldan, he will surely examine the insurance options that best satisifes your needs. Only at ER Multi-Service.

  • I actually have each client fill out a liability and asset calculator. it shows all assets future earnings potential and wage garnishment projections. that allows the client to see what exactly is on the line when they purchase insurance. so i do not commit malpractice. sorry that you see if fit to stretch the category into ALL agents. That is sad. You would have gotten more of a positive response if you said many or some..of majority...of agents...

  • Another free loading attorney, looking to sue any one he can to make money.

  • Obvious info here.Who does not think they need insurance. What are you going to do when you have at fault accident.Wait it will not happen to you. Right?Just like my wife will not get cancer, will not happen right? Are you going to pay all their medical bills, pay for their future earnings, pay for all their losses. How about this take insurance completely away & then you pay the bill,Good luck & good luck when your not at fault see how hard it is to get what your owed.

  • Insurance is legalized extortion. There is mandated insurance In some capacity in every state in the united states. The lawyers and insurance companies practice the same fear and extortion tactics as AL capone and the gangsters of prohibition.Only difference lawyers and insurance companies paid off more politicians in higher places to set laws in their favor. All people that do such things will end up like Bernie madoff.see ya.

  • It's all about the cursed dallor to lawyers. Insurance is a farse played out by and for lawyers... Damned salesmen.

  • Insurance companies may not charge a 'lot' to increase your Liability and UM coverages for a very important reason: the 'probability' of a large liability accident is very, very, very, very unlikely for the 350million residents of America, NOT because the bulk of the premium is already paid in the first 100k of coverage, as you surmise. No insurance company decides on their RATES so that they would LOSE money, but price it on the ultimate chances of the actual RISK, or likelyhood, that it happens.

  • I enjoyed the video, but differ with most ALL of your comments. People buy insurance because they are REQUIRED to, not because they want to. Agents can try to 'sell' them more, but it's the customer who pays the premium, drives the car, and ultimately is RESPONSIBLE for what they purchase. No agent decides NOT to 'sell' up insurance because they don't 'make enough commissions from it, that comment itself show a lack of the knowledge of the everyday job of commissioned sales... to be continued

  • @turnersinsurance Most people buy insurance because they recognize the value. There is very little insurance that is actually mandatory. In Virginia, there is no requirement that you have car insurance in order to drive. But most people do.

  • Did you ask them where they bought it? We can't control what they buy online. They need to see an agent.

  • @bkorner123 It doesn't seem to matter, in my experience. Most of my clients are not buying on line.

  • thank you

  • reeexh

  • Interesting video and position to take. I'm not a fan of big insurance and have handled many first party insurance bad faith cases where the insurance company has wrongfully tried to avoid paying out on a good faith claim. While I wouldn't personally lump all agents in to the same "bad guys" group (I have friends who are very good and honest insurance professionals), there is a problem out there with consumers having insufficient liability coverage. • Hmm a lawyer bashing the insurance industry. maybe the scumbag is the lawyer in the video.

  • You are a JackAss and should be sued by all the great agents that you lump into the same group.

  • state farm is the worst about this kind of thing, yes they

will sell it to you at a low start rate, then for no reason

these premiums go up,example: my rates went up

$40.00 per mo. i had no accident's and no claim's.

i can't help but feel sorry for anyone that believe's

those t.v.spot's and fall's for them.

  • I don't need insurance

  • Yeah, raise everyones Liability and U&W, more money for you when you sue?

  • thanks, as you probably know, they are one and the same in Virginia and in most states. so, yes, the 14.00 is accurate.. thanks for watching!

  • SORRY BUD...UNDERINSURANCE COVERAGE IS NOT LISTED ON THIS POLICY. YOUR $14 ONLY INCREASED THE UNINSURED COVERAGE. WHERE DO YOU SEE UNDERINSURANCE COVERAGE? YES I DO GO OUT OF MY WAY TO EXPLAIN COVERAGES. EACH CLIENT GETS A COPY OF THE MENU OF COVERAGES. THE COVERAGES THEY SELECT ARE HIGHLIGHTED ON THAT MENU. THIS WAY IF THEY DO GET THEMSELVES IN A SITUATION I TOLD THEM MORE COVERAGE WAS AVAILABLE. THEY SIGN IT. THEY GET A COPY AND I KEEP A COPY.

  • @bekindtopets thanks for watching. As you probably know, UIM and UM are one and the same in Virginia (and in most states). Most definitely the 14.00 extra premium did exactly what I state on the video.

    but, thanks for your feedback

  • Ben, you are very unprofessional to classify all insurance agents in one group just as I would be unprofessional to put all attorneys in one group Our office goes beyond the call of duty to educate each and every client. We refust to write a policy when the client will not go thru our education process. Commission means absolutely nothing to our office. You see we beleive if we do a great job we will get paid. I wouldn't see you any of our documents. Not with that tone.

  • @440truth thanks for watching and commenting.. you are to be commended for taking the time to explain things.

  • Its insane how fourteen dollars can change ones insurance policy to 100K to one million dollars. Knowing that agents sometimes dont inform the general people that they could be getting a one million dollar policy which would cost less than a new BluRay DVD, just blows my mind. I know agents probably dont get commission for an upsale but why wouldnt they just inform the customer about the fourteen dollar “upgrade”, its not like it takes a long time to explain what they would get with it?

  • It is absolutely ridiculous how companies are getting away with tricking people like this. What blows my mind is that commercials, such as the allstate, promote "being in good hands" yet situations such as the one ben discussed are happening every day. It goes to show how hard it is to trust companies that are ultimately out for their own good. I wonder if there are any people in charge of checking up on insurance agencies? A consumer rights group maybe? Overall,I am checking up on my plan ASAP!

  • @stephzay1 - Companies always without a doubt prefer you buy the higher amount. I've been an agent 35 years and they push higher amounts. Maybe your agent can't read and write???

  • all they do is try to rip you off when something happens they try not to repair your car insurance what color is it what size what weight? it doesnt exist except on paper another scan by useless eaters to benefit themselves

  • It is very interesting how sales people can completely twist how much money one should spend on car insurance. As regular consumers, we do not know the ins and outs of car insurance, so this video is very informative, thank you so much! Who would have known that only $14 could give someone a one million dollar policy??

  • @emilyebaybailey You won't believe this but I have offered the coverage for as little as $3.00 due to disocunts and found the buyer saying no! I think folks think it will "never happen to me." If you have a agent who is not putting you first get rid of them. YOu can tell the different

  • Wow, I didn't think 14 dollars could have made a difference between a one hundred thousand dollar policy and a million dollar policy. As someone who is into saving money (as many other people are too), I don't want to go bankrupt because an agent didn't offer me that extra 900,000 dollars of coverage for an extra 14 dollars a year. I didn't know much about how all this worked until I watched this video. Thanks!

  • This whole concept blew my mind. I can not believe that there is such an obvious change in coverage for such a little price. Yet I also have a question to help me understand what is going on in the auto insurance industry. I understand the concept that salesmen aren’t inclined to offer more coverage because they don’t really get much more money for the additional sale, but what I am wondering is how can the insurance companies afford to charge only 14 dollars for an extra $900,000 of coverage

  • @LedHeadRU The answer is that most of the cost of insurance is in the first 100k of coverage.. the insurance companies are very profitable if all they did all day long was sell 100k of coverage. Its much rarer that someone would have an injury that is catastrophic... so, they can sell a lot of these 1 million dollar policies and make a ton of money and still have plenty left over to pay 1 million dollar claims

  • Amazing how such an inexpensive change to insurance can make such a difference. As a personal injury lawyer myself I know and understand the high importance of purchasing the right amount of car insurance. It really is very inexpensive to maximize your policy amounts and can make a world of a difference if you are ever involved in a serious accident.

  • Great video! This is an eye opener. It's definitely important to know what your auto insurance consists of and how the coverage you have will cover you in the event of an accident. Ben is right - the coverage needed to make the difference between a lack of coverage or barely sufficient coverage and the maximum coverage available is normally extremely insignificant as far as cost is concerned. Keep up the good work!

  • As an Virginia attorney I can think of no lawyer in Virginia who has worked harder than Ben Glass to educate the public about their rights when injured in a car accident. Ben is truly an outstanding personal injury attorney and a wonderful consumer educator. I share the opinion that Ben Glass is the best personal injury lawyer in Northern Virginia !

  • In my opinion, Ben Glass is the best personal injury lawyer in Northern Virginia. Why do I say that?

    1. Ben truly cares about his clients. He spends tons of time educating his clients about the legal process;

    2. Ben is 100% honest and upfront about who he is and what he does. You can trust Ben.

    3. Ben educates consumers for FREE. He expects nothing back.

    4. If I were in a car accident in Northern Virginia, I'd seek out Ben Glass and hope he'd take my case. He's the best!

  • To be honest I don't know much about car insurance in general but I will tell my family about this video and how much in the long run it will help us for our existing coverage.

Also, if you could raise and somewhat balance the sound quality in this video because it was hard to listen to this video at certain parts because of the uneven levels of sound being emitted.

Another thing, what car insurance company do you recommend the best?

  • I think you left some insurance companies off of that list..

  • I would highly recommend Ben Glass to anyone who is in need of a skilled car accident attorney. Ben is experienced and his track record of success speaks volumes for the caliber of personal injury attorney he is. Ben specializes in the area of personal injury, medical malpractice and ERISA and private disability insurance law. My daughter lives in the Washington D.C. area and if she were to be injured, I would certainly Ben Glass representing her.
