  • This trailer made sense until the episode aired and explained that the patches allow you to remember the Silence.

  • GUESS NEGLIGENCE TORT RELIABLE SUBSTANCE RUTA GEDMINTAS SUBSTITUTE TEACHER INTERNATIONAL INSTRUCTION MANUAL PROCESSOR

  • @JESK1985 ... ... ...

MOFFAAAAAAAT WHYYYYY WHY SO MUCH TO BE LEFT OPEN FOR THE FUTUUUURE

  • they should have made riversong the doctors doppleganger instead of actualy his wife and they should have not killed madam kovarian she was a good villian i like moffat but, he should go on and just do sherlock and let someone else produce doctor who someone like PJ hammond or terrance dicks.

  • @doctorw2 madame Kovarian might not be dead... River herself said that Amy killed her in an aborted timeline which means in the ACTUAL reality she is still alive... Even Winston Churchill came back to life so I doubt that anything that happened at 5:02 actually had an impact on the real world

  • @doctorw2 SPOILERS Madam Kovarian is not dead - the reality in which Amy killed her no longer exists

  • @JESK1985 Where id you get your figures from the say they were the same? The the iplayer idea of yours is just that. An idea.

  • @LowStudiosBudget oblviously you don't like Doctor Who so why are you looking at a doctor who video?? That, or your just jealous . Whatever

  • @JESK1985 ok, i'll have to agree with you on most of that. specially the bike out the arse... that was the best.

  • You don't really need spoilers. Moffet's story lines are so predictable.

  • @Djinnmeister Are you fucking kidding me? he is 1 billion times as good as RTD...

  • @MrOssumAnt Who says I'm comparing SM to RTD? I think that debate is in your mind. None of the Dr Who revival series has come close to competing with the viewing figures of the Classic series. And chew on this, since SM took over viewing figures have gone down in the UK and the critics are panning him asking who is this written for. His scripts are confusing the children who watch. He writes to satisfy himself. In RTD's defence, he did bring the series back. You're kidding yourself.

  • Ok, so the Doctor being shot and ending up... well, DEAD.. then turning out to be the robot thingy with little tiny people in it.. I guess the robot has the ability to make you think it was regenerating? Cause it did. And the fact that it was the robot that died, and not the Doctor who really died.. I guess you can fool time itself with a replacement for the real thing as to make every thing back to normal and have the Doctor survive. Trying to be slick in the writing. but just sloppy really.

  • @LowBudgetStudios not realy a doctor dad to die and the doctor dad to be there so he was there and he died

  • @LowBudgetStudios Moffet thinks he's writing for idiots and I think most of the time he is when you read the junk that his fans post.

  • @LowBudgetStudios Well I guess the statement "This moment in time is fixed" doesn't have to mean the real actual doctor dies. Just that the scene needs to play out like that, triggering all the events that follow it, e.g. everyone's reaction to it all has to play out the same way. Kinda like if you say Pompeii is fixed, but then you beam all the people to safety and replace them with clones and let the clones die.

  • @TaliesinMyrddin I thought the ones who clone themselves to populate were the Sontarans?

  • I knew when i saw the little people in the robot suit in the "previously on doctor who". The final was ok......

  • Excellent episode

I want to see more of River, now that she married the doctor. I WANT TO SEE LITTLE TIMELORD BABIES FROM THEM!!!!!

  • @slimmdogg2968 Bad news, bud, Time Lords are sterile. They have some weird cloning type deal to repopulate.

At least, they were. Doctor Who's continuity changes from season to season, even way back in ye olde black and white episodes :P

  • @TaliesinMyrddin

that loom thing was only in one novel.

  • @alphamone I'd prefer it to be non-canonical, so if it is, go ahead and point it out :p. I'm just Wiki-trapped on the TARDIS Wiki right now, and it provides both that, while still showing the Master's flashback to when he was a kid.

  • @TaliesinMyrddin What Episode, series, period, did this info come from?

  • @Djinnmeister Which part? The flashback to Master as a kid was in The End of Time in season 3, I think. The 'Loom' concept is just something I was reading at the Tardis wikia. Seems to be around the 8th Doctor's time. Not on-screen though, in non-televised media, like books and such.

  • @TaliesinMyrddin Interesting how the Who universe has so many variations. The first Doctor had a grandchild and the 10th hinted that he had children.

  • The doctor's name is Bob, that's who. Sorry, I shoulda said I was givin spoilers first.

  • perfect finale

  • ...was this a joke, seriously :|

  • OMG The Episode Just, I watched it on BBC IPlayer, A Question In Plain Sight *Spoiler Alert* Doctor Who? Doctor Who? Doctor WHO? XD I Didnt See That Coming Really

  • Sooo... anyone see the episode yet? Personally I loved it, have some quibs though

  • "Will you marry me?"

  • @ScifiLover07 XD It's even weirder. Spoilers!

  • Doctor who?

  • HOW WILL THEY GET OUT OUT OF THIS?????

  • How the hell are they going to answer so many questions and deliver so much action in 45 MINUTES!!

  • Personally, I think the 'wedding of river song' is the wedding of the two River Songs.

  • maybe is the doctors name sweetie XD but i don't think that the doctor is gonna die because they're making a christmas special on the moment and hey what is christmas without the DOCTOR XD

  • @darthvil they're doing another series next year. So I would say this isn't the end- I mean, they only just started it up again!

  • Maybe he sends a ganger to die in his place but because he's supposed to die and he's sent his ganger instead the universe screws itself up and history all happens at once, which would explain winston churchill with the silurian and the romans.

  • @battlep0t wow u were so close to being right

  • ...i really want to know what the doctor's name is.....

  • what if the question is "Doctor Who"... moffat is trolling us and this question is right in front of us

  • I know it's unintentional, but I -love- how if you add up all the ones in the airdate for this episode, you get 4. Which is the number of death in some asian cultures.

  • I somehow get the feeling we won't know what the question is.

Like how we'll never know the Doctor's name.

  • @AniDex We won't know the Doctor's name, but River Song will. What if the question is "What is your name" asked to the Doctor, or something like that, and this is where she finds out?

That fits with the "Doctor who?" theory.

  • @pause4who It's not that it's confusing, it's just sort of incoherent. Moffat has stated that he just improvises the stories and because of the that, the last two finales (The Big Bang and A Good Man Goes to War), weren't as clever as people were use to seeing in a DW finale.

  • My version of The Question: Who the hell is Jim the Fish?

  • @123yano in a mini episode you find out

  • My version of The Question: Who the hell is Jim the Fish?

  • Tick tock goes the clock,

  • Ooh! I love the Silence! Or at least the weird aliens that call themselves that, now that we know it's a weird religious order.

They're just so creepy it awesome.

  • Doctor Who? In terms of the show it's the oldest question, considering it's been asked since the opening titles of the very first episode

  • @xedalpha1 ooo that's a good point.

  • I take it this is a pyramid.

  • I seem to remember that the Doctor has the flesh Doctor's shoes...can you make a new ganger from shoes?

  • @SandiDeath you can make a ganger from a single cell in a body. never minds ones shoes.

  • my theory is it not the real doctor but the flesh doctor who dies

  • @sword4005 problem is, the flesh doctor already died and the facility (i think) shut down. so... we just have to find out. :P

  • @TheMinecraftDan At the end if The Almost People the flesh Doctor says there is a chance they will survive though.

  • @dorwinb1 quite true.

  • wet suit for the Silence. thumb up destroyed costume

  • wait a minute, so river song captured amy to give birth to herself

  • @slipspacer88 No, I'm fairly certain River ISN'T Madam Eyepatch, my theory would be that the eyepath allows you to see the Silence, the soldiers are wearing them too and Madam I-Forgot-Her-Name is working along-side the silencer, and it'd be pretty inconvenient to forget having talked to them every time.

  • @3078782 well if she is that woman, it would ensure her birth and that things stay on track each time

  • Maybe the oldest question is...Doctor Who?

  • @GuiltyUniverse not really, hes only been alive for about a 1000 years, and at first he was not always called doctor, he has a name

  • Possible spoiler alert: Blue tie doctor solves Rubik's cube, eats apple (God Complex episode). Red tie doctor hates apples, doesn't do cubes. Doctor was copied by 'the flesh' wearing a blue bow tie. As for two Tardis, the doctor doesn't need two of them. Dr 2 could have just borrowed the Tardis for 5 minutes and gone on a 200 year holiday. I remember a line the doctor said too "here we all are, in the flesh". Moffat can't resist foreshadowing, and Amy couldn't tell.

  • @ChildrenOfOrwell it said his death can only save the universe that could be his ganger or is he going to die and his ganger will take over? i hope the real doctor will survive

  • @ChildrenOfOrwell woah. And Remember when we *all* thought that Moffat was "just playin" when there was so much forshadow that River was Amy's Daughter? And then we were actually right?? I think your theory is very plausible. But then again, I don't think it's true, however, because then why would The Doctor be so worried about his impending death? Surely at least *he* would realize he had a ganger on the loose.

  • @eyeluvsg1 unless he is the ganger? I can't recall being shown that the Ganger actually dies, and how do we know that it wasn't the real Doctor that set off in the Tardis? maybe it was the Ganger, and the real Doctor died?

  • @eyeluvsg1 Maybe he is the ganger? I can't recall seeing the ganger die, and what if it was the ganger that set off in the Tardis and left the real 1 behind? I can't recall seeing the 1 who was left behind die?

  • @13TheSeg Well I recall seeing him die. He activated his screwdriver, aiming it at mutant flesh Jenny (I'm not sure, but he may have said "geronimo"), and then all three of them melted -- Jenny, the other flesh woman whose name I forgot, and the flesh doctor.

  • @ChildrenOfOrwell The quote about being here together in the flesh was a reference to earlier in the episode when Amy was turned into a wooden doll during the Night Terrors episode.

  • fuck yeah river song!

  • I still think "Doctor Who?" will be the oldest question. And we know for a fact that River will learn the answer to that very question.

  • She obviously doesn't kill the doctor because if anyone else hasn't noticed, they're already filming the Christmas special and I saw pictures of Matt Smith filming online.

So when River Song said she killed a good man, the best she'd ever known, I don't think she did. Something is going to happen next episode and the doctor isn't going to die of course. She's been brainwashed so maybe she thinks that she killed the doctor when actually she didn't. That's why she's in jail.

  • @smickersxxx "She obviously doesn't kill the doctor because if anyone else hasn't noticed, they're already filming the Christmas special and I saw pictures of Matt Smith filming online."

You are forgetting that the Doctor killed at the lake is 200 years older then the one now. Just b/c they skipped 200 years between "The God Complex" and "Closing Time" does not mean they won't go back to him being 909 years old to make the next season. I find it odd the Doctor goes 200 years w/o a regen

  • @dorwinb1 Well the doctor is 1000 years old with only eleven regenerations.(Personally some of the regenerations lasted for a short amount of time, like the one where he was exiled to earth.) So the math could potentially workout.

  • @dorwinb1 What do you mean? I don't understand

I get what your saying but I know the doctor is 200 years older when he is killed at the lake.

  • @smickersxxx I was saying that they have a 200 year gap that they can use to film additions seasons with Matt Smith as the Doctor. The Doctor that dies is 1,103, the Doctor that interacts with Amy & Rory currently is 909. Given this large gap of time, and teh fact that the younger one interacts with his companions after the older one has, leaves 200 personal years for new seasons of the show. This is also assumeing that the Doctor does indeeed die.

  • The question really won't be about marriage, there are far more older questions in the universe than a human ceremony.

  • What did I just watch.... "MOFFAT!!!" *shakes fist* Another mindf---.

  • Remember when we thought The Big Bang was a big deal?

  • @GBD1000 i never did, when they mentioned the silence, i knew something bigger and badder was on its way

  • @GBD1000 good times :)

  • i love the song-creepy children..is it the same words from the dall house ep?

  • @2palmsranch its like an added verse

  • @hill18813 First of wrong just wrong second of all what does that have to do with Doctor Who?

  • please dont die doctor!!!!

  • wooo can't wait!!! :D

  • i just think the doctor will reboot the universe so he doesnt die

  • the question amy was going to ask the doctor in space , alos the doctor can stop his hearts to seam dead just sayinf could be a trick

  • @BIrwin94 No you haven't, no one knows who did it, I think it was either river or who ever that voice was in the TARDIS that said Silence will fall

  • "will you marry me?" might be the oldest question.

the silence will fall when the question is asked -

the silence will lose when the question is asked? idk

  • @sitdownfam That's what I came up with too, especially since they've started production of the Christmas special. I'm not sure what the oldest question is; however, history and literature is full of misunderstood prophecies. While the silence interpret falling as victory, it can also mean defeat. Even if the result is immediate victory, it can be turned into a defeat. I don't think the doctor will reboot the universe twice in the same series, though I could be wrong.

  • My own little nursery rhyme to the tune though

    Tick Tock goes the clock

    An Astronaut is waiting

    Tick Tock goes the clock

    Destiny is calling

  • @darnellrunner EPIC! they shoulda used that!

  • @BellaRozsa We "think" she kills the best man. Can't be too sure until Saturday ;) CAN'T WAIT

  • My guess is that the question is "Will you marry me?" and the silence is when everyone is shocked about the question and no one speaks. That's what I think anyway.

  • Sorry but all this is going on but who blew up the Tardis i still dont know, have i missed that information somehow!?

  • @BIrwin94 No you didn't miss anything they never said what it was... MOFFAAAAAAAAT!

  • @GBD1000 Well thank god haha but damn him for not telling us, maybe we might find out on Saturday :D

  • OH MY GOD!! I Just nearly shit my pants.... I'm watching this right now at midnight in a dark room where my computer is.. I glanced behind me and a fuck'n silence was there!!!!! After nearly screaming, I totally realized that the video was paused and it was just a reflection of the screen on my mirror! XD

  • @DamnedTheMan3 The same happened to me... But it was just my silence poster.. I was like HOLY SHIESGFHSLG

  • The Silence gonna fuck you up, Doc. They gonna fuck you up.

  • Has anyone noticed that in the promos Amy is wearing the same suit outfit that she wears in Day of the Moon? And in the promos the Doctor has that Jesus!Beard that he has in Day of the Moon. There is a 3 month gap between The Impossible Astronaut and Day of the Moon. Something went down.

  • @BellaRozsa Sooo..... The Doctor is the "best man"? I'm confused....

  • @Souseikisama I was thinking of saying Paradox but I didn't want to get it wrong lol. Needless to say I'm soooo confused right now. On another note, isn't he still dying from the poison in Let's Kill Hitler? Anyone think it may have any relevance to finale?

  • @DuskGraphics River gave up her remaining regenerations to save the Doctor from that poison. So he received a huge jolt of regeneration energy without changing, like he did in Journey's End with his hand-in-a-tank

  • AHHHHHHHH! The suspense.....it hurts.....HURRY ALONG SATURDAY! D:

  • creepy as hell...

  • P.s, River in the suit is the newly regenerated river. River who witnesses the doctors death is the older river who's been in storm cage :)

  • Here's something to really twist your brain... The Doctor knows he's going to die so sends letters to everyone including his younger self. BUT, if you think about it, and I mean really think, this event becomes a never ending sequence of events. His death kicks off everything which leads to his death... Im having trouble trying to explain it but I hope you get the idea of what I'm talking about :P

  • @DuskGraphics its called a paradox.

  • "Will you marry me?" is the oldest question.

  • @Heptkaidekaphiliac OH MY KIRA WAT

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUCCKKKKKKKKKK

  • @Heptkaidekaphiliac oh shit! I didn't think of that, yo. Smart, very smart.

  • @Heptkaidekaphiliac I was thinking it might be "Doctor who?".....but that might be a little too corny.

  • OHMYGOD! I think I got it! The eyepatches let the people see the Silence and remember them...don't know how yet, but that's my theory (especially since those two guards were wearing them too as well as River).

  • dont get how river kills the doctor even by watching the last episode, if u watch the impossible astronaut, river is with amy and rory, someone explain?

  • @sitdownfam Multiple River's. The River who came from the Storm Cage Prison Cell is different than the one in the suit.

  • @sitdownfam The River who witnessed the Doctor's death is a future version, she's already been locked up for her crime. She's had her mind messed with enough that it's possible she can't remember the incident.

  • @sitdownfam one is probably a ganger the other one the real riversong remember lady kovarian deals in making gangers.

  • I pray the doctor doesn't regenerate or die, I love Matt Smith!

  • @alltimeboner he cant lol they already signed him on for another season

  • @AssassinsCreed515 thank god for that!

  • I feel plot approaching.

Also, it's the first Binary Day since 11th Jan

  • Why's it called river songs wedding?

  • SO, we were right about the eye patch? go fan community!

  • The shits gonna hit the fan, but the doctor won't die it's so obvious.

  • Oooooooooohhhh shhhhiiiiiiiit.

  • I think the eyepatch let them see the silence because

A: we kinda know those guards are working for kovarion.

b: because its not likely they're gonna put giant lava lamps in area 51 ( or 52) just to look pretty!

  • Here's me being a stupid American thinking it wasn't coming out until January 10th. Derp.

  • @clownpenisfart

I thought the exact same thing.

Let's be stupid Americans together. *highfive* :D

  • @dynhemyte01 Um, yay, I guess....?

    :/

  • Is it just me or are we getting sick of the tick tock music?

  • well... that just creeped the hell out of me... goossey pimples allll over.. CAN NOT WAIT....

  • What if the girl singing is river younger

  • Listen carefully at the ending... Do they say "the falling of the silence" or "the fooling of the silence"?

  • @alexander9619 I think its fooling but falling would make more scence

  • @alexander9619 I'm almost 100% sure they say "fooling"

  • @coladict well are you sure I think they say falling and Im english

  • @coladict Well then, that makes much more sense than "falling". The Silence wants the doctor dead, no matter at what cost. If they are fooled, it means our beloved doctor won't die! :) Probably some kind of "I'm gone forever" followed by "I'm baaack!" like in Big Bang :D

  • @alexander9619 well he did fool them into hypnotizing people to kill them.

  • Ever since I heard Silence will fall I took Fall to mean be defeated.

  • @rebelflesh That's what I thought I heard as well. Either way, I'm sure he fools the Silence.

  • I am so excited right now I cannot express it through a comment. HOLY CRAP.

  • Okay I know this is cheesy but what if the question, you know, "Silence will fall when the question is asked", yeah that question is River asking the Doctor to marry her?

  • "When you run with the Doctor, it feels like it'll never end. But however hard you try you can't run forever. Everybody knows that everybody dies and nobody knows it like the Doctor. But I do think that all the skies of all the worlds might just turn dark if he ever for one moment, accepts it." All the way back from Silence in the Library. Un-freaking believable how far back this stuff was in the works. "Silence will fall when the question is asked." The doctor's decision becomes the question.

  • I cannot wait to see how Steven Moffat gets himself out of this one. On wikipedia it says that their is going to be a seventh season all starring Matt Smith with Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill "appearing". I am sure that we are going to finally find out who river is to the Doctor. One thing that I always wondered about was how she knew Amy and Rory in season 6 but when she sees Rory in The Pandorica Opens she doesn't know who he is. Is it just because he was erased from history or something els

  • @MulliganTCD She did recognise him ("Yes, yes, we've met"), but she was shocked to see him, maybe she saw him die (like he always does)?

  • I have a difficult time articulating how flipping excited I am for this.

  • Well, thats the song of my nightmares for the next week....

  • Does this mean River is bad? :S SO CONFUSED

  • @JamespaulhoddVEVO no I think that they are making her do it, so she is good. The eye patch is used to help you remember the silence, or that is what I am thinking.

  • @girljump5 Oh thank god for that cuz River is my fav :D i love her<3

  • @JamespaulhoddVEVO she is mine too.

  • @JamespaulhoddVEVO Not REALLY, She's being controlled by the Silence. Remember the end of the last episode.

  • @BewitchedKeyboard Yeah just had that thought lol. Cant wait for Saturdays epi :D Will be sad to see it go. I think the next series isnt being aired till 2013 :|

  • @JamespaulhoddVEVO I don't think so... The Silence could control her though, like when they commanded there own death. :/ She's being made to do it in my opinion.... I hope she hasn't gone bad though..Cause I love River :D

  • The eyepatches might be just an image of the silence, so that the wearer can remember everytihng.

(just taught of this now, what if they made river wear the eyepatch when killing the doctor, then when they take it off, she forgets everything{explains why she doesnt remember killing the doctor at silencio})

  • @raviejaaz This sounds very plausible

  • @raviejaaz What do you mean she doesn't remember killing the Doctor? o.O

  • @raviejaaz but she dose, when ever she is asked who she killed, she answers "a good man, the best man iv ever met"

  • @LbeatsKira Thats ture, but the thing is she just knows that she kills the doctor, hence why shes in prison. I dont think she remembers how. If she did, she could have stopped the astronaut right their instead of "not interfering" as the doctor said. Also she started to shoot the astronaut after the kill. If she knew that it was herself, she wouldve not done it then, and wouldve also known that when shot, the suit wouldv'e protected the person(Like amy when she shot little river)
