  • She's so adorable lol

  • Ah! I'm going to Japan for a year next year, I'm so excited! ^_^

  • @hannahgarrett12 lucky!!

  • @hannahgarrett12 Are you going for school, a foreign exchange student?

  • I wanted to go to Japan by a student exchange program.... until I saw that the average price of that is 10,000$ dreams... dreams....dreams...

  • hi :D. thanks for the vid. very interesting :3.

i also wanna studie in japan but my japanese sucks -_-

  • i live in america, and obviously i go to an american high school, and i have 4 classes everyday.

  • Hi !! I wonder if you have to be like really smart to go to japan ?

  • @Creativepink13 i have only 6 classes in my highschool

  • @Creativepink13 i have 9 classes with 3 minute breaks in-between

  • @Creativepink13 i have 4 classes a day

  • Is it fun? I couldn't really understand what they were doing actually. If that's just a day at a japanese highschool, then a day in mid. school 8th grade w/ a highschool curriculum in America where I live is much more chaotic and insane, since just about everybody I know still acts like a grade schooler though the teachers are teaching us honor classes. Everyday here is practically an adventure. :)

  • 0:57 the ciccadas really can replace rooster early in the morning

  • 10 minute break peroid ! luckky in edison new jersey we have 2 minute breaks -_- i love japan im 13 and im learning japanese so when im old enough to live on my own im going to move to japan ^_^ though i really want to move there before high school ends i would love to experience high school in japan ! <333

  • @lazerbeamcat I feel you lol im almost 15 and im a sophmore =))

  • I would love to go to a Japanese school just to see how it is and to experience it firsthand but my school is piss poor and doesnt have a foiegn exchange program. :(

  • Do you already know Japanese before you go or do you pick it up as you go along

  • OOOhh so it isn't all great and funny and amazingly cool like they show in animes, and the skirts are soo long, wtf? :) Now I feel less bad for not being born in Japan xD

But I still like the Sakura Trees and yea, I'm still visiting.

  • @inubaby67 She probably asked if she could film on a specific day. When my school had exchange students, or if students wanted to film something, all they had to do was ask for a day, and as long as your grades were fine, they'd let you.

  • i start school at 8:25am and endds at 3pm. 5periods each 1hr long except on thursdays 20mins break between period 2-3 and 40mins break between periods 4-5

  • Your lucky, I start school at 7:45 and don't get out until 4:30 pm. It's torture....

  • I wish I went to a Japanese school and speak fluent Japanese. ~ Rather than a few.

I might try to take a japanese class next semester.

  • @inubaby67 but I think the english teacher noticed her, because she said camera?

  • that's alot of bikes...

  • @theroxorman48 same cept we get 15 min lunch

  • break period? man in my high school its 8 periods, 1 hour long, 5 minute break to get to another class somewhere across the campus, and only a 30 minute lunch... jus makes me wanna go to japan more

  • @theroxorman48 hmmm, i have 4 periods 75 mins each with 5 to 10 breaks inbetween with a lunch 1 and a half hours long. i feel lucky now xD

  • @theroxorman48

In my school (UK) we have 6 periods... 45 minutes each... 1 break (15 minutes) between Period 2 and 3.... and a 30 minute lunch between period 4 and 5 and then period 6 finishes at 2:40... so we go home at 2:40pm

well... i graduated now so i don't go anymore :D

  • @theroxorman48

but... i would still rather try a japanese school out :)

  • I have sooo many questions! During my junior year i want to become an exchange student at japan! So that only gives me one more year to learn Japanese and get things ready but.. I just don't know. If anyone can answer some questions for me. Or give me tips. I would GREATLY appreciate it!! -33

  • lol at 3:20 there was a girl who didnt bow and just was looking around

  • My (public)middle school here in America starts at 9:00 and ends at 3:29. There are 7 classes you take and lunch it's ether 4 or 5 period also each class is around 45 mins and to go to your next class you only have 5 mins. I fell like making a video of my school now for some reason once summer ends weird ain't it.

Also the grading for public schools here are elementary kindergarten-5grade, middle school 6-8 grade and high school 9-12 grade

  • @xoxkuroshitsujigrell

you sir, have a wierd assed school....

  • This is mostly irrelevant to this video...but I'm 15 years old and currently reside in England. Does anybody know if in anyway it would be possible for me to go on a high school abroad exchange program to japan when I'm 16? (Already know about the hellish amount of money required)

  • I'm wondering if she's still alive there after the tsunami

  • So glad im not in high school anymore. Freedom! Cool video thou, always wanted to be an exchange student.

  • @inubaby67 in Spain too xD

  • in my school (in england) we have 5 lessons a day, and a morning break which is 15 minutes long and a lunch break which is about an hour long....

  • cool life

  • Lol I'm from California and my middle school only has 4 (YES ONLY 4) minutes of passing time in each period (8 periods including lunch)... What's sad is that we have 3 floors (including basement... aka most of us call it the dungeon because it's "supposedly haunted" and it takes FOREVER to go up and down the stairs to every class... Like let's say 1st per. Would be math and it's in the basement then the following period would be somewhere on the 3rd floor which would suck!! :))) we also have lo

  • @paradelosky lucky we only get 3 minutes..grrr..lol im from Connecticut btw =)

  • @strangekid901 Someone's probably gonna die soon. STUPID HIGURASHI!!!!! lol

  • Lol I'f you were a Korean kid in America video taping stuff, people would think you're a spy or something(obviously a stupid joke)

  • Hey in the biginning of the video WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE YOUR WALKING DOWN A ALLWAY WAY it seems like you want to get raped by some one JK It looks so cool there its my one thing i want to do before i die (i am only in my teens to be safe C:)

  • 4:35 nice bum, where ya from~

    Wow I'm kidding. xD

  • wow thee people who go there are lucky, in my school we get to school at 8:15 and our core classes are 45 minutes well the first 3 classes last class is 52 minutes and our after noon classes have different timings so it funny. and we go from 8:15 to 3:32 . :(

  • @strangekid901

    Because asians are awesome like that ;w;

  • its different here in Indonesia :O

  • I cant hear what ya say! Well sort of - why is the volume so low? =.=

  • Stupid question time ^^

Do the cicada's ever get on your nerves?

  • that girl didnt even bow lol.

  • why do all japanese schools look like a maze?

  • here in canada we have 7 blocks each 45 mins long a 1 and a half lunch break and right before the end of the day we have homeroom where we finish stuff and get to talk i start school at 8:40 end at 3:09

  • @bakochoi here in the u.s where i go we have 8 periods that are each 42 minutes long. but we go to school from 8:15 and end at 3:00 pm. we have a class called adviosry that is only 15 minutes long...and lunch is only 30 minutes long(: i like school in japan and i like that they have ten minutes in between each class to hang...i wish we did that.....(:

  • In Ireland we have 16 classes ( 30 mins long )

    15 min break after the 1st hour ( 10:15 )

    45min lunch after 4 classes after break ( 12:35 )

and it ends at half 3

its seems weird that in japen they sit in the same class all day

we move every 30 mins or after 1 hour :)

  • @xbldragonarse i ment to say 10 classes

it changed from 16 20 min classes to 10 30 mins classes

    i got mixed up :L

  • @xbldragonarse Every thirty minutes??? wow...Do you even get enough time to learn anything?? haha You must have homework galore!! =)

  • @Svegi53689312 yeah we do lol but we have doubles which = 1 hour so its not that much

    what about your school ?

  • Cool video but one question what exchange program did you use because I want to be a exchange student in japan

  • Were those ciccadas??? They are LOUD.

    Love this video :3

  • jeez its just like the animes.I want to go there SOO BADLY!The School i go to sucks because you ALWAYS have to go thru a screening, my school is very dirty,AND the other kids are VERY disrespectful!

  • @thamasta121 tell me about it in vegas its grafitie everywhere

  • HIS ASSS IS IN THE WAY o.e (im sorry really)

  • I WANT TO SEE THE 8 HOur VIDEO !

  • personally the only thing i dont see fun in japan school wis is a skirt........(i am hate skirts) i wonder if they let some people wear pants if they want o,o do they eat a lot of sushi or other stuff for lunch?

  • do u switch classes? do u need to know japanese or just the basics? and what program did u usse?

  • We Have 5 Classes In England, 15 minute break After the First 2 hours, Then, Depending what Lunch your on, 1 hour then lunch, then 2 more hours OR 2 hours, lunch, then 1 hour. ((:

But The Schools Hygine in England Are a bit Crap xD

And OMG Your Lunch Looks Amazing, All i have is a Chicken Sandwich xDD

And Your Skirts Are quite Long Compared to Ours o.o

    ..ppfftttt, i dont know xD

But The Video Was Quite Intresting, Thankyou :D

  • Lol xD I think it varies because when I went to school here in England, it was a bit different to that.

  • @Glitter99x All Schools Seem to be different in england it's werid o.o

Like my school is litrally across the road from another school and our timetables are completly different o.o

  • @BakaBakaPrussia ^^ Most are similar like the same subjects but lunch times etc can be different.

  • In New York city public schools from elementary to high school we have 8 classes including lunch. And we have two minute breaks between classes. My lunch lasted for about 55 minutes.

I'm in college now so....I'M FREE! HA!

  • :) there's no cafeteria on public schools....the school where i go has one....

  • @Creativepink13

In Belgium we also have 8 classes,

first we have 15min break after 2classes,

after the fourth classe we get an hour (lunch) and then after 2classes we get 10min break..

  • Creativepink13 I just think that your school has eight. I know in Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois they are either six or five hours.

  • do you guys stay in the same classroom for the whole day? :)) and do you know japanese?

  • mine school got cleaners hahaha! everyone leaves their shit to the cleaners.. and in school canteen, ppl to wash our plates...

  • i would enjoy watching an eight hour video how are you today im antonio

  • im from england nd my uncle david teaches english at a high school in hong kong!

  • @tmack1337

Subways and trains are more prevalent, but school buses are being used as well.

It depends on the distance from the station of course. Big schools tend to be further away from stations it seems.

I ride the train and then the school bus.

  • @tmack1337

Lol, I ride a school bus to my school everyday here... and have seen about 4 different buses for other schools departing from the same bus stop, so imagine how many school buses there are in total.

  • in my highschool, in the U.S., our break time is a passing period, 6 minutes long in between classes and is used to get from one class to another, which is like, on the other end of the building. ;-;

  • @Vietzx Luckyyyyyyyyyyyy....in MY highschool, in CANADA, our break time is only 3 minutes to get to classes. Argh....-_-

  • @Unkool567755 Really? 3mins it takes us 7-8 mins to get to school

  • @Unkool567755 really? my break in canada is 5...

  • how did do dat exchange student thingy?

  • @tmack1337

Well where are these people gonna leave there shit? There whole country is surrounded by a fucking ocean.

  • it looks just like anime, except for all the fat asses

  • @tmack1337 thats exactly like my school nobody cares about trash

one time, some idiot decides to kick the trash can down

  • Wow just like the animes lol! I wanna visit Japan so badly

  • wowowoowowwooooooooooooooooooooooooow so many bikes :)

  • What did your Japanese school class do for their culture fest?

  • Do Japanese schools assign much homework, if at all? J/w because I absolutely HATED homework here in American schools.

  • darn. i wish i had went to the student exchange program to japan last year in high school. now i'm in college and they don't have such programs. =(

Did you study the language before you went? Was school difficult for you since you didn't know fluent Japanese? Seriously, how do you get by in school and just in general? Well, I think in general, yeah, it's not thaaat hard but school I think would be tough.

  • omg the school hallways are just like the ones you see in Animes xD

  • @XxTeeyuhxX

That's what I was thinking! xD

I thought that maybe animes we're just put together like that so they didn't have to go into detail or something, but they're really like that!

LOLZ! xD even the street/allys designs are the same as in anime!

  • @XxTeeyuhxX

    urh..really?

  • @OneTrueCanine yes they do...

  • i wonder if it's weird to learn english from someone who has an accent.... well, to me he does anyway... cause then they might get confused with someone telling them they're saying something wrong...

  • i wanna watch an 8 hour video :DDDD

  • Japan school is so GREAT! Here where I live, I have 9 classes! Each class is 50 min and two classes are 30mins and one class is an hour! We have 5mins between each class only :( But the weird part about my school is that there is only one hallway for all my classes except for 3.

  • Interesting, thanks

Also, they don't have Giant monstrous backbacks full of text books there... how does that works?

  • What's the chirping sound? Cicadas?

  • do japanese schools have no regular janitors?

  • Hmm, Looks just as boring and lame as any school in America...

  • Wow! I'm impressed. Looks like you are allowed music players at school. Over here we aren't :(

  • Great video, I like how you broke it into good parts. Did you record it with your cell phone? quality was a little weak, but it was still good. By the way it's funny how everytime I see a video of someone recording a video in Japan nobody likes being filmed lol

  • lol i agree with heyyoppls you would get a detention and i wounder if there is any fights because at my school there is about 2 fights a day

  • haha funny how everyone almost has the same hair

  • @illidan008

I think it's sweet that they're able to be open about their perfectly acceptable and normal lifestyle there, instead of having to hide it like they're diseased.

  • or send me a pm and I will try and explain it over to u

  • u don't need to warry the japanese people are frendly and if u don't understand something try and find a person or a teacher that can explain it to u in english or other language.

  • @audculorivadsunete thanks!

  • is it easier to be a foriegn extach (sorry about spelling) student in the summer?

  • um, im going to be an exchange student in japan and i really know nothing about it yet.. so i was wondering

    1) how do you do schoolwork if you dont completely understand Japanese? (i plan on learning a little over the summer)

    2) do you have to get straight A's to be an exchange student? because then how do you skip a year of schooll then go strait into the next year??

    3) is it hard to make friends? what are the main culteral barriers/differances other thanlanguage? thanks!

  • OK...I was in Japan before but what I saw in this video is crazy with all that food...and I think I saw a person eating even sukiyaki and I'm just to bored to watch the video again so (but one thing is sure...it made me hungry)...when I'll go again in Japan I'll try and make some videos... until then... Ja'ne

  • wow pretty rowdy during english huh :P

  • luckyy

my parents are too fricken paranoid to send me to a foreign exchange program

now i have to wait until i have enough money to live in japan :( but i mean hey.... at least im gonna live in japan

  • WOW! Sound of Music. <3
