Which YVRR car? The RPO 107 or the observation 330? The 330 is the car the PLA needs to ask to use, the 107 can be used without asking because they own it. The 330 is only used on VERY special occasions.
It's a vanderbilt tender, they were used by the B&O, CN, GTW, GN, and UP, as well as the SP. Compared to rectangular tenders, cylindrical Vanderbilt tenders were stronger, lighter, and held more fuel in relation to surface area.
