  • he is all perfect technique!

  • suri shi and yori ashi nice

  • this is basic movement in all martial arts

  • @greensnakeeyes93 basic, but works and thats the most important thing

  • @greensnakeeyes93 suprisingly though so many people ignore the basics and the whole point is to use them as they are the most effective

  • Whats is the true testement to karate, is that everything he is showing us in this video(and all his videos) he uses to perfection in the cage. people say that that some martial arts are not practical for MMA. Nonsense!!! they just havent learned to harness the training in REAL enviroments. its like training to be world class spelling bee champion, but under the pressure, you forget how to spell........get it.

  • @thegermanntwins: Jeez, it's crazy to run across someone who feels exactly the same as you do, and can put things in the words you try to create. Yep, totally agree. Really, a lot of martial arts we don't see much of DO have potential, the problem is that many of those arts are populated by people who treat physical training and contact sparring like the black plague! A lot of things can be effective if you train them with the intention to really use it.

  • is there a striking video not kick but fists

  • @wandfreak13 you can substitute almost any kick for a punch with these techniques, the point of this is the footwork - once you evade your opponent's strikes and you are in position, then you can launch a counter.

  • @sunsgambit Thanks Brada!

  • @wandfreak13 wasnt he throwing strike with his fist in this video too?

  • If u have footwork and timing like this, standup striking will not be about physical conditioning and quickness, like most striking arts, but about pure technique

its like wrestling and jiu jitsu

jiu jitsu is more modern, and uses a system, where u have to use ur brain, and where u can beat opponents bigger than you, AND fight off ur back,

wrestling is too much about size and strength

btw this style has been around already long time before the machidas

  • the basic shotokan movement and stance.. But it's so great to see this video ... Because the basic is the most importent. We have to work and work again and again JKA and shotokan's friends and other martial artistes!

    osu

thank you for posted that video

  • @zakardo IM in the MKA we practice this daily

  • @zakardo absolutely. Also, there are very similar principals in the footwork for Muai Thai and Jiu Jitsu - basically keeping balanced and not compromising your stance.

  • It's all footwork!

  • Master Technique!

  • gorgeous!
