Although I have not trained at RB1 yet, I did take a class that Jason taught and can attest to his skill and professionalism. He os by far the best pistol shooter I have personally seen. As time and circumstances permit I will seek further training under him.
@MrNhuerta finger pushed against the inside of the gaurd is sometimes known as the russian method. if youve trained extensively on it its no better and no worse. Iv worked with SASR and seen several of them utilize it. I wont teach it though
do u hear all that background noise when he's talking? That's the high powered ventilation system to filter all that crap out. Every indoor range should have them, it's part of the reason why most indoor ranges are very cold inside.
I prefer sling shot as those of us who have been in combat know chemical coktail destroys tactile function(small digit function) I.E. little finger movement...

@zRxz Thanks for the reply. I agree, considerations must be taken into effect depending on circumstance and uniform/kit. In a contact circumstance, I believe it is best to keep your head on a swivel rather than glancing towards the holster, but if you can do so safely then why not? If a mate is covering then no problem but I thought he was and if you must look to do so safely then go ahead. Nothing is perfect, no matter the situation but to keep your eye on the target is best.
@ryeable Good point, bro. Nothing is 100% in that world and the ability to quickly navigate and adapt is more important to adherence to any one technique.
RB1CombatTraining. Thank you for clearing that up, as I looked at other videos after this comment I noticed you did it perfect, no errors. You are a very good operator, and no doubt a very good instructor. Pardon my comment, you have cleared it up. At least it is there now for others to know why you keep doing so.
I came to the U.S in 2005 and am a Legal Permanent Resident and eligible for Citizenship, I will be a naturalized citizen soon! I do consider myself American and would fight to preserve the freedoms that we all enjoy. Although my origins are Aussie, I am proud to be an American.
Ryeable it depends the situation. If your gonna reholster after a shooting incident, there is now reason to holster by feel bc the gun will not be reholstered untill the threat is eliminated. Also with the high stress of a shooting there can be the possibility of a negligant discharge when u golfer by feel!
Sorry fella's, I am actually looking a the drill sheet on the ground next to me! Sometimes I look at my holster administratively to set the next drill up correctly. I am very tactically proficient and have been operating and teaching for a very long time. While performing drills such as transitioning from carbine to pistol and back again in the same drill, you will never see me look at my holster. You guys should come along to one of my classes to actually see how good I am and what I know! :)
@ryeable So is putting a round through your thigh because a jacket zipper got caught in your trigger guard and you failed to notice it before you put your gun into its holster. If you are putting a gun AWAY, you no longer have use for it, and seeing as how we use firearms to deal with bad people, it is unlikely that there are many of those still around. You can look. I look. It's not "bad training". Not looking at your front sight is bad training. It's personal preference and mission specific.
I use the Releasable Single Point Sling, integrated into the ARAC armor carrier. I also use a SORD 2-Point Adjustable Sling, designed by me and is part of the RB1-Elite Series products.

That's great shooting and inhaling lead and heavy metals in an enclosed environ. Good luck working that body burden when you reach retirement.

I've got a question: Did Jason Falla immigrate the U.S. for permanent residence, or does he just like to spend lots of time away from Austrailia?
samtaekwondo123 7 months ago
@samtaekwondo123 It seems from his blog that he considers himself an American(not sure if he's legally a citizen).

@timoyang1996 Probably because he'd never be able to do what he loves in Australia.

Problem with this is looking at your holster before or just as you are unholstering/holstering. This is bad practice and training.
