Ypsi is ghetto and is essentially useless on the map. What ever great traditions and history the town once had has been wiped away by all the crackheads and hookers (I had kicked out my dumpster at work TWICE) and people who think they are ghetto superstars. The literacy rate is one of the lowest in Michigan if not the lowest. I was forced to work in Ypsi Temporarily and undoubtedly one of the worst places I have ever step foot in.
EMU is the only haven you'll find in Ypsi.

we spent a day in ypsilanti, on a pilgrimage from the netherlands, visiting iggy pop's birthplace. we thought it was a nice little town. now i realise we were lucky to come out of it alive. so i lead an adventurous life after all. wow!

What they did not show was all the crackheads and bums begging for your money or the hookers walking down MI ave . The schools suck and Ypsilanti is going to hell I spent my hole life in ypsi and all I can say is THANK GOD I'M GONE..... I don't miss ypsi at all . Tho the guy TRYED to make ypsi seem like a great place to live ONLY if you want to get robbed,shot or worse......

I'm glad I got out Ypsi. PORTLAND, OREGON is the place to be! Not to mention, Tom Monaghan tried to build an university AND town ruled under Roman Catholic faith. He attempted it in Ann Arbor but good ol' artsy/liberal/hippy Ann Arbor kicked him out...now he's trying it in Florida...LOOK IT UP!

Yeah. When I lived in Ypsi it was prety much utter crap. Oh yeah, & home to EMU, where you're likely to be murdered in your dorm. Or murdered anywhere since you failed to mention Ypsi has the HIGHEST crime rate in Washtenaw County. Sometimes this channel makes absolutely NO sense to me. Seriously. Everything through rose-colred glasses I guess.

Yeah. The Washtenaw County Police warning shots: 2 in the back and 1 in the head. It's a great place to be from. Got the hell out back in 1984 and NEVER looked back. Still trying to get the rest of my family to pull up stakes and get out of the Mississippi of the Rust Belt.
