That is Sonar, probably Producer Edition. Sonar PE is Cakewalk's top-of-the-line DAW software; not even close to free, but worth it.

Which gate did you use on the kick drum?

Both the Gate and the Compressor look like Sonitus plugs, which come with Sonar.
