Thanks for this- a bit of it played in the background on one of the documentaries about her I saw many years ago, and I hoped to run across it sometime.
Where did you find the fabulous footage? I had never heard Janis singing this style of Blues before but now that I have.....well I don't want to miss anything else!! OUTSTANDING!!!!
Way way way to fun! Love this happy fun tune. Thank you for sharing this, this is a timeless peice. Janis was, still is, and always will be the best! By the way, "Road Block", it's on Cheap Thrills, her version, it's the best! Check it out Carl Schwamberger. God Bless!
Not quite the duet I'm looking for. Back around 1972 I heard on the radio I heard a duet that sounded like Janis & a a male singer with a rock bottom bass voice. A high energy tune with the word "roadblock' repeated in the chorus. Anyone else recall her doing anything like that?
@CarlSchwamberger Road Block is on 'Joplin in Concert' which is a great CD set you should get. Also, I believe it was on later re-releases of Cheap Thrills.

a truly great singer and a tragic person.
her atheist mother filled her head with stupid notions which caused alot of her problems that overwhelmed her and caused her death.
