Plus you can tell that its a Ice 2, by the headlights. on the Ice 1, they are lower set while on the Ice 2 they are high. And also the Ice 1 has a over sized dining car, the Ice 2 doesn't.
p.s. Most people don't know this but, you can couple two Ice 1s together to form one gigantic 20 car high speed train, but that's not very practical. But it is possible.
