  • this is so hard for me because im using a small Casio keyboard... sucks for me...

  • Two handed skill increased.

  • really nice dude btw how did you find out what you had to play?

  • @MasterKillerBear By ear.

  • Thanks for the video, though it would of helped me a bit if you said the notes you played instead of saying "you play these notes..." at some points

  • i hate you, because it is so dificult to understand what to play then you go to next chord , we not fast learners mate!

  • @11oowarrior Try using the pause button.

  • Nicccccccceeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

  • Thank you for this, I will definitely try that out! :D

  • I crapped myself at 5:50

  • @blinkblinkyb1 it's b minor 2nd inversion

  • That's not a b chord

  • @blinkyblinkyb1 If you really want to get technical, then it's a B minor 1st inversion. It's still a B chord though.

  • Thanks helping a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice! Too bad it's incomplete :/

  • This is different from the real song.

  • I have no idea how to play a piano nor do I think I probably could. This was still really cool to watch ^.^

  • WUNDERBAR lesson, but not actually being a piano player, how do you play the octaves in relation to the chorus bit? is it between the thinggummys (don't know how to describe) or??? Thanks in advance!

  • @Quokkaraman Um... What? I wanna help, but I have absolutely no idea what part you're talking about. At what point in the video is it?

  • @MisterPenguinMusic , from 5:52 onwards I mean. I can't really tell when the chords are being played in relation to the notes.

  • @Quokkaraman Well, I mean, I play it in unison afterwards. There's also the the sheet music. I don't know what else could help you.

  • Thanks loved the tutorial :)

  • chorus starts at 4:20

  • amaizing tutorial thx i need buy piano XD

  • Iit would be much easier if you could but the name of the notes in the description, it would make it much more simpler. Very good work.

  • i think most of us here just wants to play the chorus..

  • Thank you very much for this tutorial. It really helps me :)

  • I can play the right and the left hand perfectly. I cannot seem to put them together. This happens with every song.

  • @FisxherTV I used to always have the same problem, then I realised that you need to learn a small section of the song, both hands at a time and it is so so so so much easier. Try it next time you want to learn something because it is always very difficult once you are already in your position.

  • @FisxherTV Drink a beer and shout at something, that helps. ;P

I always try it very slowly at first - normally so slow that you couldn't even recognize the melody. Then step by step a little bit faster. And finally almost without looking at the notes.

    Go for it!! ^^

  • hmm... not the same as tiaoo but still good

  • Great. Can't play piano for toffee but practicing this like hell!

  • i'm never play piano. but i WANT TO PLAY THE FUCKING SKYRIM THEME! :DD

  • i will play it but my piano is a toy

thumbs up i relly don't care that a part is not right i like it oh hope you have Skyrim

I was a adventurer like you but i took a arrow in the knee

  • are you spiderman?? :3

  • Thank you kind sir!

  • So much better then synthesia! Thanks!

  • I used to put arrows in adventurers knees then i realised archers like myself are pussies so i became a dragonborn :3

  • I do believe he says it's HIS arrangement... soo.

  • Missed the middle part with tho chior but great

  • great!! this helped alot!

  • I'd like to play this song like you, but i took an arrow to the knee.

  • @AtlanTKoYT i used to make arrow to the knee jokes, then i took an arrow to the knee

  • THANKYOU SO MUCH!

  • i have trouble with hitting the C sharp and the D because I am too slow :/

  • Actually I play since about two weeks so maybe I should try easier songs first xD But you made an excellent tutorial! Got a thumb up.

  • nice shit! xD

  • Thank you SOOO mutch dude! I did some minor changes by myself bout 99.98% was by you! XDD Thank you soo mutch again!!

  • Thanks VERY much man!

  • i think for the second part where it's "building up", if you will, i the left hand octaves should not be "B, G, B, A, B, G, B, A". the way my ear would want it is "B, G, B, A, (lower B), E, B, C#". try it.

  • This is great loved the tut but for some reason near the beginning i prefer taioos version

  • From 4:25 it goes much too quickly. In the beginning, you repeat everything once, and later, while playing with both hands you repeat some key combinations repeatedly.

  • nice one man, but would be helpful if you siad the chords were minors or majors

  • Very nice, man! I like the variation! Oh, and now I can play Skyrim's theme! After all this time! :DD

  • @MisterPenguinMusic You can use Note blocks and you can edit the pitch of it by hitting it.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic there are a specific blocks that can play notes when hit or powered by redstone, they form a 13 (correct me If i'm wrong) note span and by laying these, redstone and repeaters you can make a song

  • @xanthic14 It. Is. How. I. Wanted. To. Play. The. Song. It's not an error, it's on purpose.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic I would of made a lower harmony instead of a higher one.

  • @xanthic14 Not a song, it's a composition.

  • @TheMrwouldyourather What's the difference?

  • @TheMrwouldyourather What's the difference?

  • @MisterPenguinMusic Good question, learned this recently. Maybe composition wasn't the best word for it (perhaps "piece" or "score), but basically a song is written to mainly focus on the singer, weather it be one or a quartet, and a composition on the orchestra. Now even though this piece contains singing, it's mainly a choir. That's not to say that all tracks containing orchestras are compositions, but in most cases the inclusion of an Orchestra = composition.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic with note blocks.. Don't worry, I don't get how they do it either... :P

  • Awesome bro! Im learnin dis fo-sho!

  • @MisterPenguinMusic Note blocks

  • @AlexOlsenpang U'll need like 8 people, precisely coördinating with eachother

  • @isaiah9x It's done, and I made it alone. :P

  • me likey

  • VENTURE FORTH ON MY QUEST

    GOODBYE MA

    GOODBYE PA

    GOODBYE GIRLFRIEND'S BREASTS

  • 3+ people forgot they dont know how to play piano :D

  • could you play it once all the way through. I'd like to see how you link the second part of the intro the the chorus.

  • best tut for playing skyrim theme ever thumbs up for this comment

  • WTF!!!! I tried this on my piano and it sounded nothing like this :(

  • thanks. this is better than a music sheet.

sorry for my bad english. i'm german.

  • lol im failing miserably to learn this song proably cause i dont even know how to play the piano :)

  • Holy fuck, this makes me wanna learn piano,

  • I've figured out the best way to play it on a 29-key-keyboard. The way to do it is:

-During the intro, you only play the upper note of the left hand, simply with one finger; it still works.

-Then, when the chorus comes in, you play the full left hand, but you move it an octave up.

This way, you're getting all the needed notes into the song and it really works well.

  • Ok, I have figured out the best way to play this on a 29-key keyboard. During the intro, you play the right hand properly and the left hand only with one finger (so, basically, just one note of it instead of two). Then, during the chorus, you play the full left hand, but an octave up.

  • 5:49-6:06 EPIC!!!

  • Comment removed

  • And btw, if I play this with the left hand its all an octave up, so I decided that for now I can just learn to do the right hand well.

  • @GrubyTolek Well I can't help you there without changing the song. I guess you could play the A chord at a lower inversion, but it would sound quite a bit different. If you've got 29 you're definitely going to have a problem with my full version.

Working on getting on a bigger one.

  • Eh, I can't play piano AT ALL, never learned, I've got an old dusty Casio keyboard and my goal is to learn to play this before Skyrim comes out! Who's with me?

  • Just so you know, you got the left hand accompaniment wrong, it should go B G A E, not B G B E like you did in the video. Otherwise well done on this tutorial :)

  • @hyperboy888 Well yes, that's what Taioo did in his video, but that's not what I hear in the music. Regardless, I still think it sounds better.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic It would be good to learn how to take criticism...

You're entitled to your opinion, and I have no issue with that. But do not be surprised when people disagree with it.

My OPINION, is that the harmony is bland enough without making the progression even simpler. eg. i - VI - i - iv is less interesting than i - VI - i 4/2 - iv is a small change.

    Just food for thought.

  • @SykoLiu I can take criticism (such as yours), but "you played it wrong" is not a legitamate claim. There's no such thing.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic The other "issue" with the arrangement is the prevalence of open 5ths in the melody. It does sound a bit off, perhaps, but 'tis the nature of things when reducing an orchestral score, so I'd say that it's not something to be too concerned about....

But, friendly criticism is helpful. Don't take this the wrong way. Good job on this. Just thought I'd try and help a wee bit (things to think about for future projects).

  • Can you please do the full version?

  • @GrubyTolek Sort of. Maybe. I had planned to, but I lost interest in the song. I'm going to get negative votes on this comment... Just so people know, if I ever do the full version don't expect it to be accurate like my first version. It will be very much an interpretation.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic

Probably if I can learn to play THIS well I'll be able to figure the missing part out from what I hear. I'd still want to hear your full interpretation tho.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic Please do, It will be GREATLY appreciated! :D

  • Well this is quite simple I can see. I prefer the Morrowind theme over Skyrim and Oblivion because of its slower tempo.

  • Comment removed

  • I hope by learning this, the 9 months until the actual game comes out will go slightly faster!

  • @AlexOlsenpang Upload a vid of that. :D

  • Wow you are very good. Learnt most of it but still can do the left hand very well.

  • I love you !!!!!!!! ♥♥♥

  • Thanks a lot man, I probably wouldn't had figured this out if it wasn't for you!!

  • nice t-shirt

  • Ugh :( I was practicing the song and finally got the intro down, only to realize the chorus goes 3 keys beyond the capabilities of my 29-key keyboard...

  • @nucleardruid That sucks i'm sorry D= I thought my keyboard was bad, its 61 key, I never knew there were ones with 29 keys =/

  • Comment removed

  • @Sabre809 does the black one count? If so, my keyboard is really big in comparison to yours...

  • @KungLaoTheSecond Yeah thats counting the sharps as well

  • @Sabre809 Okay, I have at least 61 white keys...

  • @KungLaoTheSecond Thats good, what kind is it? mines just an old casio LK-90 I bought from the pawnshop xD

  • @Sabre809 After counting I found that it is a 76 key keyboard... It's a Yamaha Portable Grand DGX-200.

  • @KungLaoTheSecond Ahh see there you go, yours is a great brand

  • @Sabre809 Nice.... I have owned it for like 7 years or so and I haven't played on it until just now when I saw this video...

  • @nucleardruid You can play it an octave lower if you want. The song still works.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic There is still the problem of the last chord before the chorus. I've got a 29 too.

  • @GrubyTolek Well I can't help you there without changing the song. I guess you could play the A chord at a lower inversion, but it would sound quite a bit different. If you've got 29 you're definitely going to have a problem with my full version.

  • @nucleardruid Happened to me when I used to have a 29-key one D:

Pisses you off so much doesn't it?

  • @nucleardruid I played it with only 14 keys...

  • are you lying sitting or standing?

  • @bakeddobes I'm sitting.

  • you are a very talented pianist.

  • Any one got any tips, I just got a keyboard, im not taking any lessons and I intend to learn mainly from the internet.

  • the chorus doesn't sound right...

  • Amazing, thanks a lot. I've memorized it within the hour, and the sheet music was really helpful too.

  • you are a god among men, truly a prophet of the legacy of Dovakhiin

  • How long I waited... Thanks dude! Thanks from Russian friends!

  • I... I... My....I feel like my heart just exploded in an unimaginable escasty of awesomeness not even a millionth of the power behind this video. Thank you.
