Thanks for sharing. Nothing like the first two years of Boxer puppy love that's for sure :^). I had my boxer "Miles" from eight weeks to eight years old. I wrote a song about him and made a tribute video recently. These dogs are so smart and sensitive. If you ever have to discipline your dog harsh tone is more than enough. They really just want to please. But do keep the food off the counter. Oh, and they think Poop is caviar for about the first three years. Enjoy your doggy!

THey grow up so fast.

I can't believe we have had ours for just over two years, got her as a 6 week puppy.

Ours sheds very little, they are overflowing with love to give. They prefer a bed or couch and want to show affection at every given opportunity.

I can't image being without mine. My first dog and I am 46, how did I grow up as a boy without one?

I look forward to the next 8-10 years with mine.

@WTHFX it really depends on the individual dog the boxer breed charactaristics are the best guidlines to go by but personally my boxer (6 months) is nothing like normal boxers he is happy to go outside and enjoys long walks and playing with other dogs but when we get inside he is really lazy lol plays around a little thentakes a looooonnnggg nap ( like 4 hours a day) ,

I'm a serial Boxer owner. My third, Amos, had his 9th Birthday last weekend and he's in really good shape and thinks he's two. My second boy, Dwight died just before his 10th Birthday. He was having heart failure and I put him down to spare him the suffering. That hurt. My first, Cash, lived to be 13, but I put him down to spare him the pain of cancer. Boxers are very smart and a little bit stubborn, but if you are consistent with them in their first year your reward will be great. And FUN!

@daedalusthegreat the are really good and are managble, you just need to train them and neuter/spay early. make sure they get plent of exercise, and don't let them get bored. also males are siltley easier to manage

@daedalusthegreat Just have a little patience the first year and be very consistent with them. They'll try to charm you out of what you want them to do. They are very loving and want to please you, but they have lots of energy so their attention span is a little short when young. Wearing them out with play works wonders. Put a little loving work into them for a year and you'll be very glad of the effort. No Better Friend.
