@Walaument if you think about it, very little people actually exclusively quickscope. it was just something you could do if your in a CQB situation. Treyarch made it so your forced to camp in a corner to snipe, and in a fast paced shooter where AR's and SMG's can kill from afar, it doesn't work at all. For example, if you're scoping in looking of someone, it is way to easy for someone to simply run up to you and shoot you. On top of that most of the maps are extremely small and include CQB alot
@Walaument erm I'm a quick scoper and if their making us "actually snipe" then why don't they make people actually play properly, as in not run in like douche bags, you never see anyone in afghanistan run in there and get a quad feed with an assault rifle, and the AK74u is not overpowered its just the maps are small, try and use the AK74u at long range it sucks sure you can just tap the trigger button, but its damage is decreased drastically.

To prove your side of the argument you challenged a Community Manager to go 30 and 10 in FFA by quickscoping. Why don't you go 30 and 10 or better in FFA using an assault rifle, sub-machine gun, and LMG. Because if you are THAT NASTY, and quickscoping IS NOT CHEAP, than you should be able to do all 3 without a problem. This would better prove your position.
Its not like theyll give up qsing. The will just adapt to the new way. The only real legit way of cancekking qs is to not have snipers and i know treyarch is smarter than that. Im a mediocre quickscoper but its still fun to go beast on my friends cuz it takes some skill ( yes even in modern warfail 2)
If you're a good sniper, you can quickscope. But if you're a great sniper, you're going to forget about all this and do your thing. Yes, a lot of people are crying and killing themselves because there is no quickscoping(Just like Michael Jacksons death:p), but we still all should pick up the sniper again and do our best.

Marathon sniping is easier than sleight of hand tbh. People don't realise that only fanboys came into mw2 quickscoping with sleight of hand, back in cod4 the real snipers not trying to brag but we could all snipe effectivly without it, i myself snipe with marathon all the time, and i also snipe with marathon in gamebattles, it's better as long as you don't suck and rely on sleight of hand.

What you did there was pretty easy I could replicate that and know how to quick scope quite well, but I still think it's bollocks because a sniper shouldn't be able to kill so easily at short range, considering he already has the advantage at mid-long range. It just turns the intervention into a one shot shotgun/long rang sniper rifle.

I already saw a youtube video of Black ops and when they had a sniper they had quick scope, the only way to get rid of quick scoping is by just taking out the sniper guns which is not going to happen. watching quickscoping vids is so boring nowadays with the old cod games. it's only entertaining the first couple of month after the game's release, after that only montages or really dirty gameplays are exciting.
@iQuantom To me, the only interesting gameplay to watch anymore is quickscoping gameplay. Going 45-3 is a lot less impressive to me than putting up 30-10 scores using an Intervention with SOH Pro with weaker killstreaks.
At the end you say that in Black ops you don't want all assault riffle gameplay, but in machinma all we see is a quickscope video with sniper riffles. Also IMO, watching assualt gameplay is way more fun then watching a sniper runinng around trying to snipe at close range. Hopefully in black ops we'll see more of a variety of gameplay with different guns then the same damn quickscope we always see.

In Cod 4 (Yes i do quick scope!!!!!!!) It was fair and took some skill and in Cod Waw it was hard and fair and you didnt see many do it.
The thing about QS is that sniping is meant to be a long range. In MW2 and Black ops though, the maps are small and if you are going to use a sniper effectively you probably would need to make it this way. If sniping is going to be more realistic you need bigger maps and don't make the snipers shoot straight even though you are looking into the scope.

In a game where you can die in a split second, you can die just as quickly from an SMG/AR/shotgun/knife, and a sniper only gets one chance too. Just face it, a decision to nerf snipers is absolutely fucking retarded; when there exists knife range, shotgun range, explosives, and generally unbalanced guns. The snipers are the least of Treyarch's worries and there's really no justification to change snipers above all else

@HighflyXx: That is a horrible analogy. Long-ranged SMG kills require several bullets in order to get the kill. Snipers, however, only require one bullet, which is precisely why a sniper should never be allowed to be used as an all-purpose weapon. It's overpowered. There's nothing overpowered about killing someone in 4-6 shots with an SMG from a distance. Running around and putting one bullet into someone for a insta-kill, however, is overpowered in every possible sense.

@xPurpleRayne Too bad that the Intervention isn't that powerful at all. You can hit someone in the chest and get a hitmarker, but the Barret .50 Cal, however, is a one hit kill from the waist-up. I don't think that you should think quick scoping should be overpowered, because the only thing that makes quick scoping overpowered is definitely Steady Aim. Steady Aim gives you smaller crosshairs, giving you an advantage when quick scoping/no scoping. Go ahead and Marathon snipe, then respond.

JUST TO LET EVRYBODY KNOW , marathon quickscoping wil not help you in blackops at all, the probability of you hitting noscope is higher than that of a quickscope and noscopes are random completely, there is a patch on release day that when you scope in that the scope goes randomly in the crosshairs...sucks i know

Marathon sniping is easier than sleight of hand tbh. People don't realise that only fanboys came into mw2 quickscoping with sleight of hand, back in cod4 the real snipers not trying to brag but we could all snipe effectivly without it, i myself snipe with marathon all the time, and i also snipe with marathon in gamebattles, it's better as long as you don't suck and rely on sleight of hand.

What you did there was pretty easy I could replicate that and know how to quick scope quite well, but I still think it's bollocks because a sniper shouldn't be able to kill so easily at short range, considering he already has the advantage at mid-long range. It just turns the intervention into a one shot shotgun/long rang sniper rifle.

I think QSing is NOT "Cheap" it is quite hard really...It takes skill to get even 10 - 1 score let alone 30 - 10! I think BLOPS is crash and burn.

I already saw a youtube video of Black ops and when they had a sniper they had quick scope, the only way to get rid of quick scoping is by just taking out the sniper guns which is not going to happen. I dont care about quick scoping that much, some times im good and sometimes I suck, I just hope Black ops dosent have the mw2 connection cause I seen some game plays were the connection goes out quick but then again its a beta. The creators dont have to be good at playing there games.

At the end you say that in Black ops you don't want all assault riffle gameplay, but in machinma all we see is a quickscope video with sniper riffles. Also IMO, watching assualt gameplay is way more fun then watching a sniper runinng around trying to snipe at close range. Hopefully in black ops we'll see more of a variety of gameplay with different guns then the same damn quickscope we always see.

I say SoH pro ruined quick scoping! Quickscoping was awesome in Cod 4 (I did not play the games before that) and Waw but Mw2 you zoom in to fast and I do agree it was cheap because now every person uses a sniper and goes ohh ima quick scope there whole team etc.... 1 shot kills with super zoom....
In Cod 4 (Yes i do quick scope!!!!!!!) It was fair and took some skill and in Cod Waw it was hard and fair and you didnt see many do it.

The thing about QS is that sniping is meant to be a long range. In MW2 and Black ops though, the maps are small and if you are going to use a sniper effectively you probably would need to make it this way. If sniping is going to be more realistic you need bigger maps and don't make the snipers shoot straight even though you are looking into the scope.

also, i'm pretty sure that he acknowledged that quickscoping can't just be done, but that
1) anyone can if they put in enough time and effort
2) the fact that it can be done is a flaw in the game, something that QS players exploit because they have learned how to "break" the game
the game, played as intended, w/out QS, w/out OMA noob tubes, etc. would be a lot better, but people like to exploit those things too much
