verry sad, I have seen fields like this when i was in canada (alberta) it is such a waste. Most of these cars a still good derby cars en we coult have a lot of fun whit it..
Holy shit Holy shit Holy shit! 1:05 1970s Dodge charge... best looking charger ever made! seeing it like that makes me wanna cry. my god if i got my hands on that car;)
Many people don't understand that getting a rusty old car that needs to be restored will cost you much more in the long run than buying a nice one to start with.
how come people who make a photo slide of rusty cars put country music in the background? if i made photo slide of rusty i would put something else in the background besides country music.
Oh man I want to find whoever owns the Dodge Charger Daytona at 0:19 and the Plymouth Superbird at 0:50 and punch them in face for themselves! Those are way too cool and too rare of cars to be left to rot. Thats sad, the two coolest cars ever made. Have they no heart?!?!?!
The story is always the same. When you ask to save one of these classics the owner says ( I plan on fixing it up but, yet it sits to rust away ) SAD !!
im still seurching for a dodge charger 69 en now i see some people just let them just rust them awai i dont believe it i would hire a big truck en pull them all tomy garage taking car off them make them new again making them breath en shine again i iss the old days cars wher so much more designed for just the looks en power
why would anyone let thes beautiful classics just sit there and rot like there garbage ): these cars would last longer than any new car thats on the market now and anytime in the future lol
I kept waiting and waiting to see a car like mine, i just picked up an original california car 1968 Coronet RT and i plan on restoring it, im 17 years old and my friends think its crazy:)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! But why?? I also know where many rare mopars are still setting. the funny thing is every time i ask the owners about the car they wont get rid of them because they say there going to fix them some day. the best find i have so far is an original 426 hemi challenger.
Ya'll got to realise they were also exported to NZ, UK, Australia, Germany, South Africa etc. We have them here and they arnt worth much if you take into account the USD to our currency. May be better to buy them overseas and take them back to US. Exports were righthand drive, not lefthand, made for our market
i have a few pics you could add from my local junkyard, 1973 Duster, two four door A-bodies, 66 Barracuda, 70s trucks and jeeps, and one lone first gen camaro
@lovemetalhatejuggalo Yo man, god knows how much damage was done to that car, like it could be rusted through... not to mention possibly having to reconstruct the engine piece by piece and putting in a new interior...
Pretty much the only thing you could salvage out of this is the body itself, such a shame... I do anything to get one of those
No joke, this brought tears to my eyes! I would love to find the car at 1:00 or a car like my mom had when I was a kid a 1979 AMC AMX gosh that car was quick and sharp.
They ain't dead they need some love. And I agree who does this? To some of the best cars ever made? I would kill for a superbee or a 69 charger or a cuda
some people need their asses kicked do they realize what is rotting away i would push my truck im working on right now out of the garage and over the bank to get my hands on a superbird.
Thumbs up if you know anywhere that if you go up and ask them if any of their cars are for sale, and you either get a gun pulled on you or you get cussed out. I know of several places like this where I'm from. And a few that are selling them too.
You may not like seeing cars like this, but look at the bright side. Maybe there's still hope that I'll get my hands on one without having to get a six figure job.
One thing you'll find as you get older ---from dust to dust goes foe everything on this planet Metal starts from dirt and spends its life trying to go back to it's origin .
It is a crying shame -- so much history all lost --- all the memories -- the back seat love affairs -- the Sunday drives --- all lost like raindrops in the river ..
The worst I have seen in person was around 1986, just moved to Texas and we went out to a parts place out in the country (about hour out of Ft. Worth) for a part on '66 Nova and noticed a Pontiac Judge with a straight body in the field.
Walked out to it and there were bullet holes all down the side, I asked the old guy what happened to it, he said "we use that there car for target practice"
My jaw fell off. Never wrecked, all original, was pretty sad sight, wished I never saw that
It's been my dream to restore an old car preferably a Challenger, I'm still very young so hopefully I will find one someday! anyone have any leads let me know
If you own any of thise cars, i really mean own them with proof. I will leave NC & come get the cars out of your yard! The most i'll pay is up to $1,000. Regardless to the recession if there is a title with no lein, i'll buy them. Don't waste your time & by all means mine either.
Saw the prettist truck on a farm one time and asked the owner what was wrong with it. He looked at me and smiled and said. I parked it there in 1980 after my dad died and never moved or started it again. That made me pretty mad.
It's sad to think of these cars rolling off the assembly line thinking (as cars tend to do) that they've got all these killer body styles, power out the butt, tons of cool options etc, they're ready for a great car life and what's the result?? They're sittin' on someguys property as decorations?? I think a revolt is in order here folks.....round these dudes up, offer them a reasonable price, if they decline, sorry, we're takin' it. You ain't usin' it, your it your done abusin' it. Thank you.
@systemofadown158 It is a 71 satellite or 71 roadrunner. Same car just one is the sport car version. In 1971 mopar cars did a loop around the headlights with the bumpers on several models. It wasn't popular so they changed back the following year. I love the look of the 71 roadrunner though, it is very unique.
@systemofadown158 it depends because 1:07 is a merge between two car pics. The car that has the hood scoop is a 1970 Cuda (Barracuda) AAR edition. The car after is a 1971 Roadrunner or Satellite.

If I had a dollar everytime I heard that... Such as life.
Working at car shows, I hear heartbreaking stories all the time from people who used to own muscle cars like this and why they had to sell them. Marriage, kids, the '73 and '79 gas crunches, illnesses, business setbacks, job loss -- they just couldn't justify the upkeep, license fees and insurance on a 10mpg car that couldn't be driven in the snow or rain without rusting away. Any way you look at it, it's an expensive hobby in terms of money and time. Fun, but expensive.
Some of those charger daytonas could be worth $100,000 and we could get the for $10,000 if there like that. A small hint we should go get those cars and drive them like they deserve to be driven.
Manufacturers need to go back to the old times and start making rides like tihs again. Not sorta of like these or close to, but right down to the frame. Get rid of the pollution control crap and electronics. They have enough money, and it's very possible. American muscle is dying slowly and it's ver sad. There is a demand out there, and it needs to be done.

Its not about the money for true car buffs, its the pride one gets after restoring an old car with their own hands.
Someone has to restore them. If we all buy restored cars then many more classics will just rust away.

America. Pull your finger out. . . . . get those rides sweetened back up!
