this movie is so cheesy and yet, I cannot help but like it. I've always remembered from my childhood because I'd borrow it from my aunt and watch when my mom wasn't looking. sadly, I'd fall asleep or my sister would fast forward to the next movie on the tape. it hurts that the other 2 movies got more love than The Forest, but hey, they were Pieces and CHUD. go figure.

@wandererlain It's nothing like Friday the 13th. The only thing it has in common with that crap is that it takes place in the woods. This movie establishes feelings for all of the characters, well except for the asshole feminist bitch. I never cared when she got it. It gives us a real believable back story for the killer and makes us feel for him. The thing that makes this movie really unique is that there is no real bad guy. Everyone is just trying to survive and the ending is very satisfying.

This movie if fucking horrible. I have yet to see a slasher worse than this. You can't even laugh at it, it's that bad. I tried two times to watch the whole thing just because I bought it and I can't. I love 80's slashers Just Before Dawn, The Burning, My Blood Valentine, Prowler, Madman and Friday The 13th. This movie though is just shit.

@KaguraImmortal You won't be able to watch Don't go in the woods. The Forest is a million times better than that one. The atmosphere, music and camera work are superb and the kills are all very creative and the blood color is spot on.

Yeah, Code Red rocks. I got the DVD, and it's pretty nice. Silly cheesy film, that's so bad it's good. The ghost children sort of ruined it a little though.

And in the movie, unlike the trailer, you don't see the woman scream. She screams, but is shown after the girls a freaking out. Oh well.
