Your handlebars reminded me of a mishap that happened to me in the 70's. Young girl pulled across a road and stopped in my lane. I layed her over and when I hit the station wagon the old FLH bars were flat! No rise. It's hard to believe we can have that kind of strength. Try to bend them any other way with your bare hands! By the way, what were you wearing on your bod and feet. Godspeed.

It wasn't my fault, the bike's handle bars locked up on me and there was nothing i could do but press the brakes. I was very fortunate compared to your accident. Years ago, I had a woman do the very same thing as what happened to you only she was signalling to turn left (In a left lane) and as I passed her on the right side she decided to turn right instead!
No warning, no anything...Still had her left signal light on...LOL
I had a passenger, and we both bounced off her and wound up in the weeds (Uninjured for the most part) The best part was...She didn't even stop to see if we were ok! (Figures)

ouch. someone cut me off in the country a couple years ago. went into a deep ditch, and fractured my face from my nose down the roof of my mouth. had to have my jaw wired shut for a few months. most miserable thing ive had to go through. of course the driver sped off and left me for dead in the ditch. had to walk down the road to the nearest phone. hope you are alright.

there are a lot of stupid drivers out there. almost all of them are careless. a guy i know lost both of his legs because of stupid girl. he was waiting at a stop light. some idiot girl on her cell who was on the lane next to him, tried to get on the same lane. but she wasnt paying attention and turned the wheel right on him. when she realized what she was doing, she accelerated some more and both his legs got crushed. he is on a wheel chair now. she tried suing him because of phyc trauma...
Thanks for all the support guys! I am walking on it again with a custom boot, but it is painful, and I limp. Lets hope that gets better soon, but meanwhile, I picked up a 02 WS6 Trans Am, to get me back and forth to Orlando starting Febuary. (I'm moving to go take a Motorcycle Mechanics class. Harleys of course!) But I plan on buying a decent used bike, I probably won't buy a new one again right away. Although that 2010 CVO Street Glide is tempting!

there are a lot of stupid drivers out there. almost all of them are careless. a guy i know lost both of his legs because of stupid girl. he was waiting at a stop light. some idiot girl on her cell who was on the lane next to him, tried to get on the same lane. but she wasnt paying attention and turned the wheel right on him. when she realized what she was doing, she accelerated some more and both his legs got crushed. he is on a wheel chair now. she tried suing him because of phyc trauma...

Thanks for all the support guys! I am walking on it again with a custom boot, but it is painful, and I limp. Lets hope that gets better soon, but meanwhile, I picked up a 02 WS6 Trans Am, to get me back and forth to Orlando starting Febuary. (I'm moving to go take a Motorcycle Mechanics class. Harleys of course!) But I plan on buying a decent used bike, I probably won't buy a new one again right away. Although that 2010 CVO Street Glide is tempting!

At least you survived. I got crashed into about 5 years ago, broke my right leg, and had to have neck surgery as well. I know your pain. The black softtail in my vid is the one I crashed,but rebuilt ..Later Brother. Hope ya get to feeling better, I still hurt 5 years later.. 88

Don't let that deter you from purchasing a bike, it was a driver's fault, not the motorcycle! In fact, I plan on getting a Street Glide when I can walk again.
