  • Thank you! I'm really enjoying learning Hebrew:)

  • These videos are fantastic, thank you very much for putting the time and effort into this. Thanks again!

  • Thank-you for making these videos! It really helps me to hear someone say the letters and vowel sounds rather than just working out of a book. I also really like how you do 2 letters and one vowel at a time. Some lessons do all the letters first and then all the vowel sounds and I just can't remember it very well that way. Thanks again! This will really help me learn my Hebrew much more effectively!

  • Is there any difference between the letters "veyt" and "vaw"? Cause I don't hear any...

  • @kralyk311 Yes. ב (bet) is not ו (vav). They sound different, too.

  • you should at least try to pronounce things properly. Why does Gimel sound like Bryant Gumbel? Just try please. It's Gimelle, not Gimul

  • Thank you

  • at 4:04 you're missing the gimmel and have the dalet twice in the second line

  • @esoretal i thought he did that on purpose to confuse us :p

  • 2:25 LOOOOOOOOOlLLLLLLLL

sounds like someone gay says "baguette" xD

  • haahdeh with a silent Aleph, why do they add the silent aleph at the end . . I'm confused : (

  • Let me tell you a special thank you that you make it possible for me to study Hebrew :)))

  • i absolutly love ur vids, im impressing my jewish girl friend with ur help XD i absolutly love these :L3

  • getting better every day i am!

  • i good way to remember 'hey' is it looks like the symbol for pi

  • I'd add pi with a hole in it as the chet also looks like the pi. Great tip.

  • @bnaiorpueblo :D

  • THANK YOU for the 3rd time but as i said enough i can never express with words my

    deep gratitude towards you!

  • I thank Hashem for giving me the mind to make these videos and Youtube to publish them so others can enjoy them.

    Shalom

  • @bnaiorpueblo I'm 66 years old, and thanks to your patience I'll begin to follow the prayer book at High Holiday services this year. What a delight! L'shanah tovah!

  • @bnaiorpueblo i agree, i am not jewish- (yet) but i am converting to the jewish faith :)

  • @bnaiorpueblo I, too , thank Hashem for giving you the mind to make these videos! Shalom

  • whats the differance between Veyt and Vav?

  • tent peg in th ehead , salute kva ?

  • Thank you very much for the videos. I'm not only learning fast but I am enjoying the lessons. You are an excellent teacher. At first I thought it would be impossible to learn the characters as I was only exposed to the English Alphabet. Now I am not only learning to read and understand the letters but I have gotten insights into some of the problems experienced by my students when I embark on the formal reading programmes. Thanks again!

  • :( don't understand the difference between kamatz and petach

  • today in modern hebrew, there is no difference, and we pronounce (we is for me and any other israeli people), but but i the early decades, kamats was bolder than fatah (it is a mistake to call it petah).

  • there is also a manuscript in hebrew

  • I'm wondering what's the difference between the vav and the veyt? Or is that the same as between kamatz and petach? Or has it something to do with the meaning of the words they're in? Can someone explain it please?

  • Hello, I don't understand why are you pronouncig BAGAD for example like BAGAAD like if you have an ALEPH next to gammel.

    Please explain

  • נחמד!!!

  • please for rewrite me.

Whats the difrence of kamatz and petach?

  • Nothing in the sound. There are different esoteric meanings.

  • ok,thx. so whats the diffrent in meaning?

  • @gershonbenfranja Oh thanks I was asking me the same question !

  • there is no difference in sound one is the traditional hebrew and the other is modern hebrew

  • Muy bueno!!!

  • He pronounces the letters wrong.

    His way: GIM-uhl

    Right way: gih-MEL

    His way: DALL-iht

    Right way: da-LET

    His way: AL-ihf

    Right way: ah-LEF

  • Hey, a good learining method you got here!

    Thank you very much!

I've improved my Hebrew a lot because of you.

Could someone tell me how to download a Hebrew script/ font to train writing hebrew on the computer_

  • There are two dalets. Obviously a mistake on my part. Thanks for pointing it out.

  • is hebrew similar to arabic?

  • @bnaiorpueblo testing us, eh? :D

  • @bnaiorpueblo

so what deasrest professor, you are so generous to teach God`s language so generously, it`s up to us your pupils to say THANK YOU and no matter how many times we repeat it, it wouldn`t be enough!

  • @bnaiorpueblo

    2&6th letter

    r both v??

  • @bnaiorpueblo That was a good mistake though...I actually caught it and made me feel like I am learning something

  • at 4:27 we go trought the Alefbet and at the second line with the Kamatz, you wrote

    א ב ד ד ה ו

I dont yet know how to get the dot inside the vet, and make it bet. But should not there be a gimel here and not 2 vavs?

  • I've always said bet and vet differently. But good lessons. I used to be able to write in script but I forgot and I also used to be able to read it without vowels but I couldn't do it now. lol. I've never forgotten the alphabet though so I'm proud of myself :)

  • what's the different between petach&kamatz???

  • There is no difference. They make the same sound.

  • So the aleph is basically always silent and only makes the sound of the vowel under it?

  • Yes.

  • yeah.

  • Yes, exactly. Always silent.

  • do you always have to put an aleph at the end of a word?

  • No. It can be anywhere.

  • whats the difference between vet and vav if they sound the same

  • I think you mean, "veyt" not "vet"

Just to avoid confusion in us early Hebrew students

  • so whats the difference between "veyt" and vav?

it really is "vet" veyt is phonetic

  • I don't know

  • there are some phonetic rules on when to pronounce a ב as veyt and when to pronounce it as beyt. e.g. if there is a vowel before the ב its usually a veyt.

vav is different. It can also be used as a vowel (o, u) depending on the position in the word.

I'm sure if you continue watching this will be explained.

The two letters might sometimes be pronounced similar (oo, ou, u) but the meaning is different.

  • Thank you so much, this is awsome.

  • Thank you for the lesson I greatly appreciate your gift for teaching this beautiful language.

  • so hard

    :((((((((((((((((((((((

  • אני חושב שיהיה לך יותר קל ללמת את הכתב של האותיות הגדולות לפי דעתי זה יהיה הכי קל ללמידה לכתיבה. אבל ממש השקעת באמת כל הכבוד מאוד יפה ותודה רבה לך!

  • and these videos are very good for learning even though they don't use the vowels in isreal for whoever said that it's impossible to learn the language without the vowels

  • Thank you for these lessons!!!

Well why not pronounce the aleph in the HA-DE(AH)-thing ? - at 2:43 ?

  • the aleph only really has a sound if it has a vowel underneath otherwise its silent

  • great thanks!

  • Whats the difference between the Veyt, and the Vav? it sounds exactly the same!

  • The only difference is that Vav is mostly used as a connector.

meaning its like adding "And" in English

  • I feel that im doing good now in Hebrew !! Im able to read TORAH NOW ... hhhhhh

  • These videos are wonderful and so easy to follow, thank you!

  • very good keep-it-up

  • Learning Hebrew always gave me a lot of headache, till I discovered your lessons. Now I am looking forward to learning a new letter! Thanks a lot.

  • thank u so much,,thats super..

so is there a difference in pronounciation between "veyt and vav"in a word?

  • yeah,

veyt-is Beyt actually and you say "B",and vav you say "V",and with Beyt you sometimes say "V" too.

by the way, these lessons aren't good.

in Israel people barely use all those spots and "segol" and stuff....

  • Thank u prinilen, and ..well, could you tell me if u know a better way or site to take "good lessons" since this one is that perfect!!

  • from a book maybeXD

  • well..id prefer such lessons coz they help with the pronounciation..thank u anyway

  • These videos are fabulous! I have been able learn in 30 minutes of footage what I haven't been able to learn in 6 weeks of living in Israel. The dude who hosts these videos is very clear and easy to follow. Ultimate cool points to him.

  • toda raba you have a gift. thanks for sharing

  • thank you very much.
