  • I remember this one from 1999 :)

Usually.. a song is "catchy" or "cool" or "has a great beat" ..

But this "song" is only one of a few that can add "usefull" to that list :)

It's basically a list of free advices.. use it (or don't) in any way you see fit!

  • @OllyMagicNZ but you managed to pull it off anyway huh?

  • wow! i had forgotten about this song. memory from high school approx 10 yrs ago!!!

  • This is a great song. Im young and it reminds me to appreciate my youth and to stop caring too much about how i look because some day i will wish i was young again.

    Great song.

  • i watch this everyday to reminder of whats important.

  • Comment removed

  • So so great!!

  • I love this <3

  • im afraid to die =S

  • try to listen to this everyday or as you go to bed at night.

I wish this was my graduation speech

  • I do luv this but it is typically American individualist; all centered on the ego-manical self

  • @jayBredd Jealous?

  • @blairthestud Jealous of ego-maniacs who's selfishness hast cripppled their economy? No thanks. I'll stick with my place, where we help each other out and have a great economy :p

  • @jayBredd I choose to believe that this song doesn't preach to one's ego, my friend. I like to think it gives us hope by dispensing wisdom that is grounded in logic and laced with hope. One's individualism is not mirrored in an economy but in the way we choose to live our life. Our way of life, our 'ego-maniacal' individualist ways, are spreading throughout the world. The middle east experiences this; to have the freedom to do what one wishes his or her own life. To live the way one wishes

  • @blairthestud Like I said, I agree with the advice, but every single thing is based on the selfish individualst. A typical Anglo-American denial of the other. Freedom for all, will only come when all are equal. One's individualism is forged by the economic powers of propaganda over the sheeples mentailty. The American "way of life was spread through the barrel of your gun. Read your history. Arabs are revolting against dictators and economic structure upheld by the USA

  • This is an awesome song. Its real and will make you smile.

  • I have lived my life by this since I was 12. granted its only been 6 years but still. It was just recently brought back to my attention by my wonderful english teacher in preparation for graduation. it is wonderful

  • this leaves me speachless.. im only sixteen, and already regret so many things, i wish this was the background music to my life!

  • @LilsMae

I wish it ws the background music to my life too LOL Then somethings might have been different.

  • @LilsMae don't regret anything.. you're still young, you'll make mistakes. most important thing is that you learn something from it. you still got your whole life in front of you ..

  • you couldnt its the best track ever made with the most importnt messages any song writer has ever written :) push peace peeps

  • how could someone dislike this......??

  • I love this song, it's honestly changed my life. i cried a little while listening to it. the message is powerful.

  • I think it's kind of funny that some people ACTUALLY think this video is about sunscreen! As for everyone else... wish I could give you all a big hug :-)

  • This song truly saved my life, thank you Dr Baker for sharing this glorious masterpiece. Thankyou!

  • To this day, some of the best advice I was ever given.

  • i love this "song". its hilarious while true in everything it says.

  • Yeah near pure aluminum is good for you, it's good to dump that into your pores and think it will help. NONSENSE. We are like plants. We need sun. Just don't get burned and be smart about it. But for God's sakes understand that the contents in sunblock are some of the most toxic things you can put into your body.

  • @intmailmc you're a retard... the song is not really about sunscreen... you know that right?

  • So glad I found this now. I wil live the next and last four years of my childhood with these in mind.

  • the best line out of this song is "get to know your parents, you never know when they will be gone for good"

  • who is the musician that sings this song?

  • @giggidygoo17 Baz Luhrmann

  • Everybody's Free (To Put This On Their Stoner Playlist)

  • such a good song. i ALWAYS show this song to a friend and make sure they listen to it. :)

  • Kor fam needs to see this...boudeish too tha kor..lol!

  • Kind of beautiful, kind of inspiring, kind of poetic, kind of wonderful.

  • this tune, and its words are brilliant...tatally true to life

  • In other words, if everyone was just like you, this world would be a nicer place.

  • T_T

  • ***appendix. By " believe in and live by" I mean the message which is portrayed in this song. This song is quite simply... relevant. Xx

  • This song, quite frankly, is amazing. The simplicity and poignancy is subtle yet succinct and if all of Christendom lived by the values / suggestions relayed within the lyrics of this song then the ENTIRE world would be a better place. I was brought up to believe and live, almost, the same values and if everyone was the same or similar then this world would be a nicer place. Xx

  • No, really, trust me, wear sunscreen and use moisturizing cream. There is not a cream out there as carcinogenic as the Sun. And the rest of the song makes total sense too!

  • Love this!

  • Great song but terrible cartoon.

  • this video is scarilly not fitting with this song

  • Love this magic song.

    Peace from Turkey.

  • whoever Disliked this song has no soul and is waaayyy too tapped into today society!!!!

  • sunscreen is carcinogenic, i only use it when i rarely spend time on the beach... cuz of our depleted nutritional intake, we don't have what it takes any longer to NOT burn from the sun, how unfortunate is that?

  • This brings a tear to my eye everytime I hear it

  • Wait--

what does this have to do with sunscreen?

  • @JasonBlakwing - This song is about life... Past, Present and Future. The sunscreen thing was just to catch your attention... and by the looks of it... it worked. :)

  • @JasonBlakwing look beyond the obvious. . Sunscreen is a protection,, I suppose the advice in this track is like a protection against the harshness of todays life.... thats what I got from it anyway

  • Dont suppose anyone knows the name of a similar song (talks throughout it) that was released around 2006, I think it was the guy from Aqua.

  • @saxonandon theres one called Underwear Goes Inside The Pants by LazyBoy..its pretty good

  • Yea that was it, thanks a lot ...wasn't really as good as I'd remembered

  • @saxonandon still good though lol anyway your welcome

  • At this moment of my life I feel joy, because I realised how cool was I, when i was a kid and that I have spent a day with my friends that I know for over 13 years. How beautifull is that? Its kind a funny that I realised that i want to feel like I am 8 years old.I wont worry any more about the clothes I wear, how many friends on facebook I have,etc..Now I realised how much have I learned in my life and how much I changed.Haha I wear sunscreen!

  • i wear sunscreen!

  • how can anyone not like this song? i got out a piece of paper and wrote down the lyrics so i could memorize them lol
