I don't know about you, but to me I didn't see a question mark. Rather, I saw Detective Mitsuhiro Maniwa being the odd one out of the group or the circle breaker. It made sense to me when I watched the series and still makes sense to me now.

@brownrocket100 tsukiko created little slugger when she was little so she would not get in trouble for her dog dying. then when she got older she was stressed so she broke her leg and blamed it on little slugger. then the same thing happened to everyone else. the more rumors there was about him, the more real he got. and in order for him to go away tsukiko needed to confess that the death of her dog was her fault
