I am really fascinated by conversion stories, especially with particularly western people converting to primarily eastern/middle eastern religions. I think that in Western culture, the religion of science has basically taken over and now avid spirituality is something for gurus or crazy fundamentalists, and because of strong connecting traits such as religion b/w pple there also a sense of lack of community. I think that was a key point in this Jewish woman's conversion to this tight sisterhood.

You say salvation is attained from believing in the blood shed of Jesus pbuh but those prophets actually say the way to attain salvation is by observing God's law and to repent wholeheartedly when committing sins. :)

I am really fascinated by conversion stories, especially with particularly western people converting to primarily eastern/middle eastern religions. I think that in Western culture, the religion of science has basically taken over and now avid spirituality is something for gurus or crazy fundamentalists, and because of strong connecting traits such as religion b/w pple there also a sense of lack of community. I think that was a key point in this Jewish woman's conversion to this tight sisterhood.

That being said, I oppose the idea of people leaving their faith and converting religions. Here's one more problem. You are preaching a complete different message than of Moses, Isaac, Abraham and even Jesus peace be upon them. You say salvation is attained from believing in the blood shed of Jesus pbuh but those prophets actually say the way to attain salvation is by observing God's law and to repent wholeheartedly when committing sins. :)

Genesis 3;21, 4:4, 22:13 and many many more passages in the OT teach the necessity of blood sacrfices for sin. There is substitutionary sacrifices throughout the OT. All the OT sacrifices were an adumbration of the perfect sacrifice of Christ.
