The game is so linear torwards the beginning but then when you're at the last few places it starts to turn torwards an amazing fucking story line. This game had everything, Gameplay, Storyline, epic feel to its music. This was just an all out great game. And if I were to review it I would honestly have to give it a 10/10, or a 9.5/10 at the least.
This is a really cool tune. It sounds like a midi version of a The Strokes song. Honestly I can easily imagine this with two guitars, bass and drums. A very laid back chill tune with some vocals on top.
It's worth it. Many of it's ressources were later used on it's sequel, Illusion of Gaia/Time, so you'll pretty get used to it. Also, you'll like the environment and it'S music.
It's funny, I played Illusion of Gaia religiously before I ever played Soul Blazer (once started a new game and beat the Comet all in less than a day, if that tells you anything). For some reason, I never got too far into SB, and I didn't even know Terranigma existed, let alone that it was a sequel to IoG until recently. I may have to knuckle down and try them again sometime, I'd like to be able to say that I beat the trilogy, heh.
@IntuitionJo I think Terranigma (Gaias and Souldblazers successor, the last part in the trilogy) had the greatest and simultaneously saddest storyline of all time. At least Illusion had a good ending for the main actor. I cried during the ending of Terranigma, I really did.
Yeah, I love this too!!! it brings out a kinda of feeling in you that's unique and strange in a way, but nice all together, I just love it, especially after hearing it the first time in King Magridds castle, I thought it was the nicest music ever while I was still playing :)
Yes, it's an action RPG. Part of a trilogy of games (Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma). Mostly everyone praises Terranigma the most, but I loved this one more than either of the other two. If you even somewhat like RPG's, I'd suggest trying it out.
Well, think of it a bit like Legend of Zelda meets an RPG. It plays like a Zelda game in many respects, and by destroying groups of monsters you free people and buildings and plants and so on that rebuild the cities sealed away by the villain.
I have to disagree with with woodwart and say that this is the best song from the game. The end scene with Lisa looking at the sunset, just brilliant. The other songs are great but this is the best! Awesome tune SupraDarky

I heard this song while I was playing Dragon Age: Origins. It was during the dwarf kingdom quest, and it fit the atmosphere perfectly.

Isn't this game a spiritual sucessor to ActRaiser? Or did I mix it up with another game? XD

Man, this fucking game ruled so hard! Playing this game, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma is like getting a PhD in existentialist philosophy.
I still think Soul Blazer has the single best ending of any game, ever.

It has a haunting feel that makes me nostalgic. I didn't play this one, but I've gone through Illusion of Gaia, and both ActRaisers.
