Got tingles listening to this ....there's nothing like this in todays music ,can't put into words how beautiful this song is ....really love 80's music todays stuff is mostly crap .

This is so haunting and beautiful lyrically with an exquiste melody. Howard always inspires me and he has a rare gift of being a poet who can express divine truths through his music.
Super,Super hit !
I agree! I remember 22 or so years ago driving alone at night - fast - on a long and deserted highway on my way to see my boyfriend. This was playing on the car radio and there was a full moon. It crystallized into one of those signal images in life.
Wow! I liked this song back in the day. but honestly it has not stood the test of time, sorry! Awful vocals and just drab in general! Gutted as I loved it in the early 80s.....time can be cruel.......but at least I enjoyed it when it was relevant I guess?
@Norfolkinidea time hasnt been cruel..... music is inside you ...it doesnt become crap one day.. it relates to a time and space you occupied at the time... good or bad . if you liked it then theres no reason not to like it now. music has moved on beyond what anyone could comprehend back then.... in its day it was great to listen to.... today its just as great.... its 2011... that tune was nearly 30 years ago :) yep we are old lol
Terrible video, hilarious hair.........but if the final note of this great song doesn't make the hairs on your neck stand on end then you havn't got a pulse!
The director made him pretend to play the flute..and then as if that weren't cheesey enough immediately cut to a scene of him playing the same part on the keyboard. :D
@kingexlax yep thats the 80s horrible videos but good tunes also the sideshow bob hair that howard has does look a tad dated in 2011, but you know i reckon people looked back at photos of 1884 when it was 1911 and laughed at how old fashioned they were but now they are all gone anyway. thats my 2 cents for today.
was just a kid when i had this on humans lib album on cassette - it stirred my emotions back then but was too young to really get it - for all its simplicity still one of the most moving tracks i have ever had the privelege to own- thanks hj, "wipes tears from eyes"!!
@cph394 U neeed to go and boil your head in a pot of piss m8. U don't like it so good for u. Fuck off and listen to whatever pishh u like. I'd hate to think what that is ya rodent.
@choicesman2000 yes i agree but i was a 60`s child and love the 70`s so im not sure what class you would put me in??!! a good one i hope?not a big 60`s fan, like 8o`s but after that music takes a turn for the worst ,the odd song pops up ,what do you think?
@tahliabell the music died for me latter end of the 80s... the odd 90s track and a brief revival to decent music with britpop then it hit the bottom of the barrel.... has never recovered and in fact going below the barrel now...
Thank you so much for posting this video :) what a beautiful song. I am going to see Howard at the Indig0 in London on the 6th Nov. He is performing his first two albums in their entirety, backed by specially commissioned video films. It promises to be an awesome, memorable evening!
Isn't it amazin how some choons bring on memories of good, sad, mad or indifferent times, this just ticks all those box's, an 80's Classic by rights.......
Great video clip and song, I went to see Howard live at Melbourne, Australia in 1985. He was brilliant then and still is now. Thank you so much for putting this up. I have used my son's log on so I hope he doesn't mind me using it to write comments. I just had to. :-)
