I've been using Sansamp for guitars and drums lol. It's pretty cool like that, better than all the mix saturators and all that crap IMO. Makes stuff sound mic'd is what it does. Works great with a tube preamp direct sound, really surprised.

Using the Sans on vocals is about as smart as using a tremolo on drums.

anyone using protools.........listen to the intro to this vid or the new alice in chains or the new metallica..then listen to ur favorite songs....you will notice the sonic difference of digital

compared to analog..subtle...but giagantic

I think you are comparing apples and oranges. This is a short intro clip for a free youtube video that is grossly processed with a lossy codec for size reduction.

The new metallica album (very successful band) was recorded with a giant budget with Rick Rubin (very successful producer) and is the band's 9th album.

:) :) :) I think the deck is stacked against digital in your example hah!

Hi there. I have opened Pro Tools 8 LE.. Now, here is the problem, when i want to save the 1st session it says: Session must be on a audio record volume. If permitted, set the volume(s) in question

Most of the stuff is mastering, and from what I've seen you don't want to use any of the realtime stuff. There's a drum machine and 8Gigs of loops. I don't actually have it yet, but I need it for school.

I'm upgrading to Blackstar HT-5H (from Toneport GX! LOL) and getting the M Audio 610 Recording package. I wouldn't be able to do it, but I got a grant to go to college and also approved for loans that pay for everything until I get done. I'll probably upgrade again next year.

It's not true. You can use it as an RTAS(Real Time Audio Suite) plugin, which means that it can be done to a live track. Remember though that AudioSuite doesn't take up the CPU once it's been edited - unlike the RTAS plugins, which is why AudioSuite is typically used for permanent edits.

i went to guitar center on memorial day.

i bought the mbox 2 with pro tools 8.

it cost me $400 plus tax.

normally it would cost $450 plus tax.

if you go make sure it has the latest version (pro tools 8) because some combos mite have 7 or 7.4, and no, its not free to upgrade from 7 or 7.4 to 8. dont let them try to bs u with that

so the box come with the mbox i heard alieka maybe a 7 channel mixing board and all these programs in a tab such as compressor like this guy is doing does it come with instructions cuz this program is very confusing lol
