@kyrgyzstan21 Foolish animal... of course they would feed her properly, don't try to compare the government of a civilized nation like Israel to Iran...
You want to talk human rights violations, how about you mention all the clits you fucking monkeys lop off every year. Mention all the rape victims who get buried up to their necks, and have rocks thrown at their faces. There's something that doesn't happen in Israel, because it's a civilized nation.

if she was really a spy, she should be in jail for 30 years not 8 years sentence, if she was practicing journalism after her permit is expired, she should be fined for 25K, now she does not have iranian passport I assume as Iran does not recognize dual citizenship, hope she learned to be more responsible now.
And you know this because you are a Turk from Iran, and as we pointed out earlier, Turks from Iran "just know" these things, because they are Turks from Iran. Shame on us? Why? If Iran is trying to build Atom bombs with which to threaten the ME and Europe and eventually start The Apocalypse(they want to speed the return of the Mahdi)..and they are, Shame on US if We Don't have spies there collecting intel. Iran is acting in violation of non-proliferation treaties they signed. Shame on Iran.
bla bla. you are clueless. iran has all rights to atomic energy, as they signed the UN document which allows it. stupid americans and israeli are having double standards all the time. is that world justice ? I don't think so.
Why do people think that these forums are their personal toilets where they can spew out all their hatred and invective, regardless of whether they have a grasp on the facts of the matter they spew about? Iran signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Which means No, they dont have a right to develope nuclear weapons. That's what NON-PROLIFERATION means. Read what's been posted "clueless", then when you are up to speed, chime in. So far you contributed nothing in the way of informed opinion.
Yes Iran DID sign the NPT, and I do believe they will adhere to it. The US used nuclear weapons against a non nuclear adversary (Japan) at the end of WWII, and destroyed two cities full of civilians. In addition, the US did publish a "nuclear hit list" some two to three years ago that included even non nuclear nations such as Iran. We don't have any moral superiority over Iran or many other countries to say we can have nukes but they can't! We have to set an example first! Got that!
Don't compare apples with Ayathollahs please. You stated:"Iran DID sign the NPT...they will adhere to it."
But they've already violated it in various and sundry ways:Expelling Inspectors, Enriching well beyond limits of usefulness in civilian applications. "Keeping their nuclear options open..." So, your wrong. You start out with wishful thinking and degenerate into tuquoque. You have opinions and beliefs which you feel emotional enough about to shout them at me. ("!!!") Relax and chat.
wideawake123 says, "Don't compare apples with Ayathollahs please."
To which I reply, Who are the Apples then? George W. Bush? Tony Blair? You've gotta be kidding. The Ayatollahs haven't invaded any neighboring countries last I checked. They haven't ordered to bombard civilian populations, or overthrow governments.
On the nuclear issue, it has been said that Iran may have enriched enough material to make ONE bomb! Big Deal! You can't run a full scale civilian nuclear generation (Con't)
(Con't) infrastructure on that amount of fuel. You only hear what one side has to say, yet right here on YouTube there are videos of the head of the international agency that regulates nuclear energy use stating that Iran is cooperating with transparency in it's program.
Let me correct you on my statement earlier on Iran's signing of the NPT. I said that "I do BELIEVE that they will adhere to it". I didn't say that it is an absolute conjecture. If in the future, the US, Israel or France (Con't)
(Con't) continue to make threats of aggression and to the point of using nuclear tipped precision strike weapons, then of course Iran will keep it's options open! Isn't that what any government will consider? They have an obligation to protect their population. I mean, duh!? On the other hand, dialog without pre-conditions will dispose of the need for confrontation, and I have faith in the Obama Administration that this can be the only logical and acceptable option.
Most of what you posted is debatable, but you come across like a preachy asshole, so I really dont feel like talking with you. Look below this comment to your initial comment in the thread, and my reply to it.
"Yeah, ain't that great? The high court suspended her sentence."
You're trying to pick a fight with me. In my eyes that makes you an asshole.(IMHO) Maybe in the future you might discuss things in a more civil tone, as I have done here. My tone is civil-Your's..antagonistic. End Of Story.
Anything that anyone says is debatable, and it was not my intention to come across as being "preachy". And this is just YouTube, not the UN, so I'm certain world leaders are not coming to this forum to forge their domestic and foreign policies based on what is written here. I did misinterpret your remark about Ms. Saberi's release. I thought you were being sarcastic. So I'm sorry about that too, but for the record, I didn't start the name calling, which isn't "civilized". Bye.
And now back to the main topic...Ms. Saberi has been released today. Her sentence was reduced but suspended, and will soon return to the US. End of story.
"Yeah, ain't that great? The high court suspended her sentence."
Yes they suspended her sentence. The charges of espionage were dropped due to lack of evidence but she was still found guilty of buying liquor, and working with an expired press pass. That would have gotten her two years in prison but they decided to move with suspending the sentence due to external, and internal pressure, and much of that internal pressure was created by the Iranian President himself, but he'll never be thanked.
Not by me anyway... Nor will you see me thank hostage-takers for releasing their captives. I'm just glad the whole thing is over, and she's being set free. I here she was writing a book and I'de be interested to read it. Especially the last few chapters. Maybe She'll thank Ahmadinejad.
Well Superman was a Reporter so he could find the Bad Guys Quicker / Spiderman was a News Camera man also for the same reason SO this tiny Abraic woman is a Super hero yea RIGHT ! BRING THE FOOLISH LITTLE GIRL HOME ! AND OOOOH JUST BRING HER BACK !
Roxana is a citizen of Iran. If a citizen of Iran being arrested in Iran deserves this much attention, how much attention should a fair observer give to the case of US troops smashing their way into the Iranian Consulate in Erbil, Iraq and abducting 5 Iranian Diplomats?
LOL...Well she was born and spent most of her life in the US so that may be one reason but I also believe that the US might have different policies when it comes to protection of its citizens abroad, whether naturalized or not...but like wideawake123 said it: whatever dude.. What ever lol
What about my comments makes you think I don't know about Iran, the mullahs, or current events?
To answer Your questions:
1) She went there because she's a regional reporter for NPR, and her "beat" is the Middle East. She was there to report the NEWS from Iran.
2) She bought a bottle of wine because she wanted one. People drink wine with dinner all the time. I know Muslims personally that drink and smoke. Is it your belief that "real" Muslims would never? Guess what? Some Do.
yo bros, i like totally don't know whether or not she is a spy, but check-it yo, if we're all honest we'd admit none of us know, irrespective of how plausible or implausible our particular perspectives suggest.
but that aside yo, if she decided not to slow her roll with alcohol while intentionally in a fundamentalist regime hostile to alcohol et al, it's got to be either; (a) intentional - to make a point, (b) unintentional - she didn't know? or (c) disregard - to like squeak by on the dl, yo
"... admit none of us know.." Read my 1st comment here where I say:"IMHO, she's Not a spy." I do still have a right to an opinion right? Do you know that Iran's the largest buyer of Afghani heroin? Hash is forbidden too, along with alcohol. That doesn't change the fact that it's bought and sold there. She bought the wine to serve with dinner.(her reason in her words) Have you ever listened to NPR? Would an NPR reporter be a plausible candidate for spy? Ideologically incompatibilty comes to mind.
yo bra, i like totally don't get the point that an npr reporter is an implausible cover for a spy - actually it seems perfect.
i mean not to lend any credence or incredulity to the shes-a-spy assertion, but check-it, if i'm looking for a great cover to hide my clandestine activities, it would be hard to find something better than the npr reporter line yo
Your homework project for today is to listen to NPR for 4 hours. A few comments ago I stated NPR reporters would be more likely to "out" spys than be spies. I'm not saying that its impossible for her to be one, but I'm not a "Turk from Iran" so I don't know... I have listened to her reports for quite a while now, which qualifies me to judge her ideological leanings. I suggest dropping the phony ebonic tone in your replies, because it doesn't read as funny as you think it does. Ya Feel Me?
no bra, i don't feel yeah, cuz ur argument is simultaneously obtuse & myopic. check-it:
1) i joined the cia after college
2) since then, the cia has prepared me for my assignment in iran
3) which cover should they cultivate?
(a) a fire-breathing, fox-news, anti-iranian reporter or
(b) a left leaning, iranian sympathetic npr reporter?
of course her "ideological leanings & reports" (aka "cover") would not b anti-iranian dumbass. oh ya & wtf do u mean "ebonic tone" u addlepated, ego-centric prick
Wow Secret agent man...very over the top. I didnt realize the "let's see how stupid I can make myself look" banter was just a cover. Us "obtuse, myopic, egocentric pricks" just do what we can to process the information gathered over decades of study and living history into knowledge that can be disseminated to "da boyz n da hood". You have no clue do you? Never listened to NPR, huh? Spies aren't likely to take "high profile" jobs(like being a reporter) You saw "I SPY" too many times.
As I said, she's a reporter for American left wing news radio station NPR(National Public Radio). You may not understand this, but anyone who is familiar with NPR would. She's not a spy. She would more likely "out"(expose) an American spy overseas than be one. Khameini's origins don't concern me nearly as much as his ideology...and your language.
I guess Turks from Iran believe that being Turks from Iran qualifies them to judge people's innocence and guilt. She's a reporter for NPR, which is as liberal and "left wing" as a radio station can get in the USA. Having listened to her news reports from the region, I would say IMHO, she's Not a spy. Now what she is is a liberal Martyr. Believe it or not, wine isn't "evil"...
