"This Toyota could be like a Lexus, if we add more audio insulation"..Your telling me if you add a few hundred dollars of audio insulation you can turn a $20K car into a $40K or $50K car?
Isn't that kind of a point? I mean, an expensive car doesn't necessarily need more noice isolation, but cheaper ones are horrible to drive if road isn't the best.
The camera used wouldn't pick up the frequencies well anyway, only your ear could really hear the difference sitting there. Since we cant the screenshots do tell the story for us. About a 10dB difference is nice, quite decent.
I wish you had more details on how to remove the interior (seats, center console), also wished you had more time spent working the insulation inside the vehicle. Hopefully you can compile another video for that detail. Thanks
@tzDub92 I put Dyanmat, Dyanpad, and/or Dynaliner throughout my 03 Civic Si. Cost around $700 and took maybe 30 hours. The car is a little quieter but it was not worth the cost, effort, and weight gain. I still get an annoying amount of road noise, and lots of wind noise comes through the windows. My stock Lexus ES300 is so much quieter. If you want a quiet car, buy a quiet car
dang watching you brother working inside a tite trunk, bent and whipping grease off... I already can feel my back ache. Great video. I wonder if your on a budget what would be the most effective areas of the vehicle to cover first. and what's the aproximate do-it-urself kit (similar to what u use) cost? And pray ons and stick ons which one's better or cheaper. Thanks again. Many blessing to you bro.
The mot effective areas to improve your audio system is where the speakers are at (typically the doors). You can purchase a door kit for about $60 US. Stick on is cheaper and should always be used first if applicable.
@iiFizzYHD Your tryin to stop the metal in your trunk from vibrating, the walls of the trunk are more likely to vibrate an the floor. It's just how much money you have as to how much deadening you put in your trunk. Also face your sub into the cabin of the car (i know everyone has the sub facing outwards) and this will help as well, good luck.
For somebody who is on a budget (and wants to get this work done in stages), which parts of the car are most affected by these products, and which are the least?
I want to do this to my car but I'm worried about adding a lot of weight and hurting the performance. If I was to use one layer of Damplifier Pro, one layer of Luxury Liner, and one layer of overkill, how much weight would that add to a car like that corolla?
Calusa Custom Concepts is the shop. Please send us a message through Youtube and we'll give you all of the info to get your car all done up properly by Buzz.
Nice vid Buzz, my wire and sound deadening is more important to me than the equipment I put in! Nothing more degrading to the industry than a rattle sound louder than the music itself....IMO. Driving 80, beer in the trunk, loves car audio- my kinda guy!
Did you dampen my house because I have my speakers and YouTube audio slider all the way up and I can't hear you. Your intro music and the other YouTube videos I'm watching are work file.
- Local car audio shops can perform this type of installation. There is a lot of labor however because the interior has to be removed. We recommend they use Second Skin material as its superior and cheaper than those other guys!
Ive got a c10 chevy truck with a built engine. The cab vibrates and its extreemly loud inside at lower rpms. Theres nothing for sound deadening. Do I need both vibration and sound deadening materials?
- Yes, both use together will solve this. The Luxury Liner works excellent in reducing noise while the Damplifier works well reducing and eliminating vibrations.
You can get very creative with sound deadening and not spend a lot but get impressive results. We cannot say how much you will have to spend to get the results you want. Thanks for the compliments.
hi, i have an '03 tiburon that i just did a full exhaust system on. because this car is a hatchback, all of the noise from the mufflers echos through the car straight through my head. i am considering dynamtaing my entire trunk area with the 36 sq. ft. pack. do you think this will greatly help with the vibration sound ringing throughout the car or would you reccomend something else? Thanks.
36 sq feet of Damplifie rPro will do a good job in the selected area you use it, but in order to reduce the exhaust noise you should use it, plus a noise barrier like our Luxury Liner Pro. This will block the airborne sound waves from the exhaust while Damplifier Pro KNnocks out the vibrations and structure borne noise..
how much is the luxury liner pro and how thick is it? im gonna bedline my whole inside of my car then dynamat over that then i might use that luxury liner also.
It cost alot. You gotta put something else down first that cost just as much, I think to do a whole car would be over $500 easy. Nothing for cars is cheap.
i was thinking of using herculiner bed liner probly 150$ to do my whole car but looking at specs damplifier pro's better than dynamat so im gonna do 3mm of spectrum, cover that with damplifier pro, then use luxury liner pro on the floor. and spray the entire underside of my car.
I like quite when im going 80 mph and my car just doesnt make quite. its not loud but its enough to be unpleasant.
I drive an Old school Jetta VR6 I know all about Road noise. I was gonna use this shit but Im not trying to add alot of wieght. IF I do use it Im only doing main floor boards and behind door cards with Damplifer, and luxury liner. Not the pro stuff.

The spectrum on the bottom is a huge improvement when combined with Damplifier inside.

isnt that quick roof lowes stuff about the same and lots cheaper?. its silver and has a rubber bottom and self stick. also added along with good quality carpet padding should do better.
