  • Well done vid.

  • Nice video!

  • "This Toyota could be like a Lexus, if we add more audio insulation"..Your telling me if you add a few hundred dollars of audio insulation you can turn a $20K car into a $40K or $50K car?

  • @ImmortalSyndicate

That's out of context and not the purpose of this video. Fit and finish is also mentioned.

  • Just out of curiosity, what would be the total cost of this insulation? (considering retail prices), and no charge for manual labor.

  • @StormedbyPizza

Visit the Second Skin website for help on this.

  • isn't that a 2004 civic, not corolla

  • @kanwal4sandhu

    It's a corolla.

  • he should have it's own TV-show :D

  • U really r a pro. Good work.

  • is this the same as insulating for outside weather conditions such as heat and cold

  • @yankovic1234

No. This product is for vibrations and noise. Second Skin does however make heat reduction products. Check out their website.

  • @yankovic1234 This product will provide a degree of weather/heat insulation. Howeverm that's not it's specific purpose.

  • Very informative Vid, thanks!

  • foxbodies rule

  • Yeah it worked cheers

  • Does that product I used for the cabin floor of the car reduce heat from coming in the car I'm trying to put some of that on my 95 Lincoln town car

  • @carlosjunes

Second Skin make heat reduction products. Check out their website.

  • my left ear enjoyed this...

  • i cannot hear anything except for the music in the beginning !!!!!!!!!!1

  • Very impressive video.

    Well said and demonstrated.

Do these products work well with the VW Golf Estate/Jetta Wagon diesel?

  • @LeBobBob Absolutely.

  • would you recommend these products over the dynamat brand??

  • @christophispistoff

Yes, you get more for your money. Better quality.

  • lol...look at the road...damm was for sure he was going to hit somthing while he was driving...

  • i use pyrotek ( noise control products ) .... they are the best in noise control .. car , boat , ect .ect .... look them up guys ..:)

  • it's funny how they did all this work to a crappy budge car haha

  • @wirsindheldenowns

Isn't that kind of a point? I mean, an expensive car doesn't necessarily need more noice isolation, but cheaper ones are horrible to drive if road isn't the best.

  • Would this quiet the engine noise that is heard inside the car? The sound of the engine from outside sounds ok.

  • @adsan1280

Yes. All vehicle generated noises will be subdued. Also, search YouTube for our video on Damplifier where we apply it to the hood of a vehicle.

  • you should have compared it with the same vecicle as before and after figures, but other than that nice video

  • I personally cannot hear the difference in road noise

from the video. you also stated that you would show screenshots

of the machine (RTF) that measures noise between the two vehicles but you didn't.

  • @RudeMcNasty

Screenshots are at 8:56. The sound deadening works well, it's not a scam.

  • @RudeMcNasty

The camera used wouldn't pick up the frequencies well anyway, only your ear could really hear the difference sitting there. Since we cant the screenshots do tell the story for us. About a 10dB difference is nice, quite decent.

  • Comment removed

  • the trick to really getting quiet pannels is to add small pieces to moving parts if you can cause they pick up huge vibrations

  • This was a great video

  • stone cold Steve Osten looool 8:40

    same style lool

thank you man .. u roooock

  • 7 people didn't have time to do it themselves

  • great vid mate 5*

  • I wish you had more details on how to remove the interior (seats, center console), also wished you had more time spent working the insulation inside the vehicle. Hopefully you can compile another video for that detail. Thanks

  • I did not hear any improvement.

  • has anyone done this? how much of a difference does it make, and is it really worth doing?

  • @tzDub92 I put Dyanmat, Dyanpad, and/or Dynaliner throughout my 03 Civic Si. Cost around $700 and took maybe 30 hours. The car is a little quieter but it was not worth the cost, effort, and weight gain. I still get an annoying amount of road noise, and lots of wind noise comes through the windows. My stock Lexus ES300 is so much quieter. If you want a quiet car, buy a quiet car

  • Your audio is really messed up, it's only got a left-side pan with my Koss earbuds.

  • Thanks :)

  • This guy is the shit

  • yes and you add 200lbs to your car as one person is always with you.

  • You have to be the most impresive mechanic I have seen in decades. You are most certainly "Hi Speed" I wish you were my next door neighbor.

  • @Moparkato

Thanks! We've got more on the way. Subscribe to stay tuned.

  • sorry bud. fail! you didnt show us the computer screen for the 04 newly insulated car. =L

  • V.helpful thanks.

  • audio sucks

  • audio sucks

  • WOW !!! VERY NICE VIDEO WELL DONE YO! INFORMATIVE COMPREHENSIVE......COMMUNICATION WISE ...YOUR TALENTED!

  • @kimelem77

    Thanks!

  • Is it just me, or does the second insulated car sound much louder than the first with no insulation?

  • i feel you on the beer:30 haha

  • Is this stuff fire resistant?

  • i dont feel as thought it is safe that he keeps looking back at the camera while driving....

  • dang watching you brother working inside a tite trunk, bent and whipping grease off... I already can feel my back ache. Great video. I wonder if your on a budget what would be the most effective areas of the vehicle to cover first. and what's the aproximate do-it-urself kit (similar to what u use) cost? And pray ons and stick ons which one's better or cheaper. Thanks again. Many blessing to you bro.

  • @ALEXUNDERVIV777

The mot effective areas to improve your audio system is where the speakers are at (typically the doors). You can purchase a door kit for about $60 US. Stick on is cheaper and should always be used first if applicable.

  • i dont get it :S where am i suppose to apply this material to just the holes on the trunk door or all of the trunk door??

  • @iiFizzYHD

The more you apply, the more effective it is. But just filling the holes in the doors will help.

  • @iiFizzYHD Your tryin to stop the metal in your trunk from vibrating, the walls of the trunk are more likely to vibrate an the floor. It's just how much money you have as to how much deadening you put in your trunk. Also face your sub into the cabin of the car (i know everyone has the sub facing outwards) and this will help as well, good luck.

  • @jeffy123ification thanks, this was the advice i was looking for :D

  • Great video!

For somebody who is on a budget (and wants to get this work done in stages), which parts of the car are most affected by these products, and which are the least?

  • @playloud90278

For starters stick to the places where your speakers are mounted. Then focus on the floor and roof to make the car quieter.

  • why the fuck would you do that to a corolla, just save ur money and buy a nicer car.... cant polish a turd bro

  • @hadi820

Now tell us what you really think!

  • @hadi820 It's better to play with what you got then being a tool and selling your car to buy the one that's cool at the time.

  • @hadi820 idk what you talking about that corolla looks nice

  • ... will never understand why u americans always put it this rock music shit into your videos. Always.

  • @Schmatko89

It beats the "un-tiss" of electronica. Thanks for the view!

  • @FloridaSPL But nice tutorial indeed^^ Could surely use it one day. marked as a favorite now.

Lets see if your material is available in europe^^

  • @Schmatko89 Cause sex, drugs and rock N roll is what made half of America... thank you bro

  • I want to do this to my car but I'm worried about adding a lot of weight and hurting the performance. If I was to use one layer of Damplifier Pro, one layer of Luxury Liner, and one layer of overkill, how much weight would that add to a car like that corolla?

  • @renesisrx8

It would add around the weight of a passenger, say 180 pounds.

  • @FloridaSPL Damn, that's actually a lot.

  • GREAT VIDEO.

  • you are a grade a GOOF

  • if you layered those up what order would u want them in?

  • @wfw5607

Damp pro 2 layers, Spectrum 2mm (6 layers), Overkill Pro (behind speakers) or Luxury Liner Pro (everywhere else).

  • @FloridaSPL thanks for the info maybe now ill be able to hear my music over my cars engine

  • What shop is this? I'm not much of a DIY guy and I'd prefer to have someone do all of this work for me.

  • @handygeek

We're in Florida, let us know when you're here and we'll help ya out.

  • @FloridaSPL I live in St. Pete and work in Tampa, near Brandon. Don't suppose you're anywhere near there, are you?

  • @handygeek

Calusa Custom Concepts is the shop. Please send us a message through Youtube and we'll give you all of the info to get your car all done up properly by Buzz.

  • Nice vid Buzz, my wire and sound deadening is more important to me than the equipment I put in! Nothing more degrading to the industry than a rattle sound louder than the music itself....IMO. Driving 80, beer in the trunk, loves car audio- my kinda guy!

  • What about the roof?

  • who says being a grease monkey doesn't require math and science? haha

  • @draydenpatey01

    - We're in Florida, so you tell us!

  • Did you dampen my house because I have my speakers and YouTube audio slider all the way up and I can't hear you. Your intro music and the other YouTube videos I'm watching are work file.

  • @ScubaSteve1974 - Ah... I see, the main audio of the video is in mono and only one of my speakers were working. Nice 'stache.

  • @ScubaSteve1974

    -Yea, old video, old mic's!

  • how can I find out about having my car done like this???

  • @brainfriedperson

    - Local car audio shops can perform this type of installation. There is a lot of labor however because the interior has to be removed. We recommend they use Second Skin material as its superior and cheaper than those other guys!

  • great video,,, well spoken with finite detail

  • @SilicaStorm

    -Thank you!

  • anyone else think he is wayyyy to excited for his job?

  • @hendrixfan805

Would you rather him be boring?

  • @FloridaSPL lol touche

  • i really thought he was gonna show us how the subs sounded...

  • This is helpful since I have a 99 escort that vibrates and is noisy. :)

  • How many square ft was it for the inside of the car?

  • @tdogac

-Several layers have been done over time to see just how quiet we can get it, we've lost count! :)

  • Ive got a c10 chevy truck with a built engine. The cab vibrates and its extreemly loud inside at lower rpms. Theres nothing for sound deadening. Do I need both vibration and sound deadening materials?

  • @emsevas

    - Yes, both use together will solve this. The Luxury Liner works excellent in reducing noise while the Damplifier works well reducing and eliminating vibrations.

  • Ther Audio Pros but there Video is in Mono? WTF

  • @Bmoney4206

    - We worked with what he had at the time, we're not a film crew!

  • @Bmoney4206

    lmao!

  • @Bmoney4206

You can probably speak English fine... but it's actually spelled "THEY'RE"(for the first attempt) and "THEIR"(on the second fail) WTF?

Whats important is what they are teaching here.

  • @FloridaSPLBest vid I have ever seen. Makes it simple for non pro.

I want to give this product to my dad as a present. On average how much it will cost to do it in a Suburban?

  • You can get very creative with sound deadening and not spend a lot but get impressive results. We cannot say how much you will have to spend to get the results you want. Thanks for the compliments.

  • Dude, that was a badass video -- informative, professional but laid back, and entertaining. Funny ending too. Keep it up!

  • Thanks!

  • isnt that the guy from truck universe?

  • It is.

  • Yup.

  • Looks like Super Mario

  • is it just me or did the car with the sound deadners have more road/wind noise??!!

  • LOL it actually does haha

  • @sssmeee dude i totaly agree... i love how he floored it to in the 06 but they cut out the 04...

  • Comment removed

  • @sssmeee it's just you.

  • @sssmeee its the camera

  • Great video, it was actually very informative. LOL at beer 30!

  • rad

  • for how much time and money that took to do it didnt seem to reduce it enough for me to go out and buy it

  • bet he is high from the solvent heheh

  • im gonna put this in my integra asap!!!

  • hi, i have an '03 tiburon that i just did a full exhaust system on. because this car is a hatchback, all of the noise from the mufflers echos through the car straight through my head. i am considering dynamtaing my entire trunk area with the 36 sq. ft. pack. do you think this will greatly help with the vibration sound ringing throughout the car or would you reccomend something else? Thanks.

  • 36 sq feet of Damplifie rPro will do a good job in the selected area you use it, but in order to reduce the exhaust noise you should use it, plus a noise barrier like our Luxury Liner Pro. This will block the airborne sound waves from the exhaust while Damplifier Pro KNnocks out the vibrations and structure borne noise..

    Hope that helps!

    ANT

  • why dont cars have this as standard??

  • it's expensive

  • BUZZ YOUR SO FUCKIN HARDCORE DUDE!!!

  • That's a very nice video, the presenter really gives confidence on what is being shown. 5 stars

  • how to make ur car quieter lol i wanna make my louder.

  • it makes outside noise quieter not music.

  • how would you do a 1995 dodge ram club cab i want to do door panels an floor thanks

  • how would you do a dodge ram club cab 1995 i want to get rid of the vibs in the door panels and floor maybe to thanks

  • how much is the luxury liner pro and how thick is it? im gonna bedline my whole inside of my car then dynamat over that then i might use that luxury liner also.

  • It cost alot. You gotta put something else down first that cost just as much, I think to do a whole car would be over $500 easy. Nothing for cars is cheap.

  • i was thinking of using herculiner bed liner probly 150$ to do my whole car but looking at specs damplifier pro's better than dynamat so im gonna do 3mm of spectrum, cover that with damplifier pro, then use luxury liner pro on the floor. and spray the entire underside of my car.

I like quite when im going 80 mph and my car just doesnt make quite. its not loud but its enough to be unpleasant.

  • I drive an Old school Jetta VR6 I know all about Road noise. I was gonna use this shit but Im not trying to add alot of wieght. IF I do use it Im only doing main floor boards and behind door cards with Damplifer, and luxury liner. Not the pro stuff.

  • That's a great idea. But you want to put the damplifier UNDER the spectrum. Not the other way around.

We actually recommend that exact combination as the most you can do for your money.

The spectrum on the bottom is a huge improvement when combined with Damplifier inside.

  • ok so lay down the damplifier pro then spray spectrum on top of that? that doesnt sound right...

  • YES! Both Damplifier and Spectrum are designed to adhere to metal. The Damplifier has metal on the top that the Spectrum sticks too. If you put the spectrum down first, the Damplifier will not have any metal to adhere to. And the surface is too inconsistent for the Damplifier to roll on.

  • chuck liddell? ha

  • lol yeah he needs his mohawk.

  • hahaha hes probly a pussy tho

  • so what's the mean dB-A reading at 70 mph? 60mph? or what can you tell me?

    like 1992/1993 es 300, 70 mph 67db-A

it has the same looking and similar amount of white , vibration dampener on the interior body

i see no thick black stuff like you added to this corolla, yet, most people like the es 300 for being quiet and pleasant.

  • You remind me of Billy Mays :D

  • lol the beer ending to this video was so fail

  • Thanks for watching the whole thing.

  • I thought the beer thing was cool.

  • great video , your instructions were fluid and you never stuttered or had to think about what you were doin , it made the video ALOT more comprehendible , im gonna have to try this , i have 2 - 12inch subs in my trunk that rattle the hell outta of it when i put them on , thanks for this ... Hooah

  • if they didnt make cars out of aluminum foil n plastic we wouldnt need this crap

  • nice video!

  • how much did that cost?

  • I know. How much does it cost for all that Dynamat.

  • Awsome video, I love you're attitude and the way you speak. Lots of fun man.

  • theres no sound? i cant hear wat hes saying..but i heard the music

  • How do I remove the factory sound deadening from the floor? That tar stuff is like....hard as a freaking rock. Does anyone know an easier, faster, cleaner way than a hammer and chisel?

  • An air hammer works well.

  • ive seen a guy use dry ice. look it up on youtube

  • There is no reason to do this.

  • Good video. I was curious as to how to go about doing it, and you answered all my questions.

  • no ur suppose to click hq for high quality wow

  • excellent video! great tips for the beginner installer

  • heck yeah. i used some heavy jute carpet padding on my old car alone it was like a tank after. comfy. the problem is finding the good padding now.

  • 5 rolls of duck tape for the trunk with carpet padding on top would do the same thing and be lighter and it wont come off.

i vote for duck tape and carpet padding and this stiff for just the trunk lid and rattle areas.

  • Have you covered the floor of your vehicle with carpet padding, dynamat or something other, and if so was there a significant difference in the cars noise level while driving?

  • i got dynamat for first time and as soon as i looked at it its sticky tar with silver paper..same as that quick roof stuff "basically". all this shit# totally overpriced only because everyone wants it. sad.

  • sad thing though that stuff is fairly heavy. it heavy as it adds mass.

  • This guy just pulled out a beer from a car! LOL! Ironic!

  • Comment removed

  • isnt that quick roof lowes stuff about the same and lots cheaper?. its silver and has a rubber bottom and self stick. also added along with good quality carpet padding should do better.

  • You're my hero buzz, I wanna have your babies

  • Where can you learn how to remove and then replace all the interior upholstery and seats?
