He doesn't know anything. That's NOT a 5 gallon bucket; the one he's using is too small and the plants roots will outgrow it quickly and rot. That's NOT gravel, its hydroton/LECA/expanded clay pellets. There should be about an inch air gap between the bottom of the mesh pot and the top of the water. What an old fool
@rominmufc1 that's a tomato and a gourd-looking plant you dumb shit. Doesn't matter what he's growing, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Yeah it might work, but there are DEFINITELY better ways to do it.
Spend way less with The Bucket Garden and with even better results for organic vegetables. He is taking the best of hydroponics gardening, organic gardening and has wrapped it up in a high bred container garden. Ted Hallett, The Garden Master
you can also use more smaller net pots for different sized plants. you can even use smaller buckets for smaller plants like the 5 litre buckets which take up less room than larger buckets.
@jcallday55 youre a fucking dumb fuck arent you? dont fucking comment if u dont beleive it its real, what the fuck would be the fucking point of faking that u stupid mother fukker
I don't recommend adding water to the point of net pot submersion. If you leave the water about an inch below the net pot the bubbles from the air stone will splash water on the grow medium.
I Have a question. Since the rock wool cube doesn't hit the water when you put the cube in the bucket, how does the little root ever hit the water reservoir? Do you have to keep the rock wool cube wet, or does the vapors from the water reservoir keep it wet ?
Thanks for posting this great video! Truly, learning is always fun especially if you can find the best resources all the time. I just have a quick question, I would like to know if there are other growing mediums that you could suggest that would be as effective as rockwool?
where can you buy this stuff i have sucha problem in my condominium ... people cant see my plants so i need to buy lights and evrything ... shit such a problem i just ask for 1 plant so i could babysit her (:
Hi, very good video, easiest to understand of the ones i have seen on youtube. Just wondering what the extra connector bit on the second plant is? the one who's roots you showed to the camera
i bought the 20 ltr buckets. I am gonna do aeroponic as it will use less water and nutrients. Its harder to setup but will save water when you think about 8x20ltr buckets.
I use 2.5 gallon buckets, 5 gal is fine. Flora nova grow for nutes (or any good all in one) sun blaster T5 bulbs, Cheap and very effective. Dont over complicate, its a waste of time and money.
You do not need water pumps, the roots will not drown they will thrive because of the bubblers. Most hydro stores have baskets to fit buckets. Forget all the rocket science crap and try this, you will not be sorry. Ive been doing this a long time and the results are fantastic, no meters, no Co2, no bullshit.
i have found in aeroponic systems you are better removing the plants form the grow sponges as they end up becoming water logged when the plants gets bigger. I find it better just to lets it grow in pebbles. interestingly i have also found that the roots which stay submerged remain whiter than the roots which hangs in air and just get sprayed. NOt sure if it matters if roots remian white though
After a long period of time.. the rokwool will eventually break down being nuthing but ash when you squeeze it.. I recently visited a grow house and I learned some things I never would have thought obvious
Hey. I just wanted to say great video thanks for posting. Quick question, I hope I don't bother you. When you place the plug (rockwool, whatever...) is it a problem if the bottom of it touches the water? Should I place a large enough layer of stone so that the plug does not directly touch the water?

well i would put less nutes then it says to on the bottle and change every week because the exact amount would over feed the plants and your end results would be bad if they make it bubblers are new to me i could be wrong but it shouldint be no diffrent from any other hydroponics
i have my seedlings in dirt at this moment id like to transplant them into my bubbler sys but im wondering if i can do this from dirt to bubbleponics without useing rockwool will it kill my plants they are allready rooted
all im useing is an airrateing stone to keep fresh oxygen in the water fresh water with lots of oxygen and good nutes produce great fast growing plants
how do you make sure you have and keep the right amount of nutrience in your solution? is a grow solution with all micronutrience enough to keep plants happy or do you have to buy a bunch of other stuff to mix in the water to?
