  • If that's your what would you recommend when owning one because I'm gonna be buying one in November when I turn 18.?

  • @metalrain300 Unfortunately, it's not my truck...just videoed it because it was the "newest thing"...and it looks awesome! If you google as Avalanche2 did, you'll find articles about the bent frame problem. Buying one will depend on how you use it...if you intend to go fast in unknown offroad conditions, I'd say you have the potential for costly problems. If you use it moderately at safe speeds, it looks like it would be fine. Only you can decide how much risk to take. Thanks! :) Jack

  • That's what aftermarket parts are for and it's only the bump and that shouldn't be to hard to get parts to prevent it.

  • @metalrain300 Just read Avalanche2's post. Interesting reading! No doubt out of this can come a cooperative arrangement that will outfit the Raptor to perform in the conditions that the owner chooses. And perhaps make clear what the design limits are for the truck as shipped by Ford. Thanks! :) Jack

  • Everyone should google "Ford Raptor Bent Frame" to see how weak these things are. This isn't a race truck, its a standard, unstrenghtened F150 frame that cant handle any punishment. Despite the design flaw, Ford wont cover them under warranty either.

  • @Avalanche2 Not owning an off road vehicle, I was blissfully unaware of the problem. Thanks for bringing it to the attention of the viewers. From what I see, it's the typical battle of manufacturer vs driver...each blaming the other. Manufacturer says it's performing as designed, driver going too fast...driver saying it shouldn't be happening at all. One thing for sure..anyone contemplating buying one needs to make an informed decision! Thanks! :) Jack

  • my uncle bought this truck in orange :) its the sickest truck youll ever sit in

  • @MiisterKlutch I so envy your uncle! One tough truck! Thanks! :) Jack

  • Global Warming Score: 1

I'm so sold on this truck!

  • @ASeventhSign LOL! Might as well have some fun before the impending doom! Thanks! :D Jack

  • @raconter1 the earth can take one more for the team :D

  • @dr2813308004 Yeah...as they used to say after a sports injury..."walk it off"! :D Thanks! :D Jack

  • I just got a major BONER!!! Who needs porn??

  • @dmon76 Vehicles have been known to do that! :D Thanks! :D Jack

  • Thanks a lot guys! I really appreciate your feedback.

  • i have had those tires on my '96 f150 for a month now, they seem to handle the snow pretty well

  • @Robt1966 Hey, Robert! Thanks for the information on those tires! I've let unyok1964 know about it! :) Jack

  • I wonder if those tires are good in snow. Has anybody tried them in the Canadian winter?

  • @unyok1964 I don't know, but I hope some of my viewers in the snow belt might be able to hazard a guess about that! Thanks! :) Jack

  • @unyok1964 See Robt1966 comment on those tires on the Raptor! :) Jack

  • great truck, i like it in black, but i would probably order one in white, they look great in white, or blue, orange ain't bad either, but i am thinking white, with a nice Colorado red on it, to recreate my trucks tu-tone, then i could have old and new! :) overall great truck, our dealers have a number of them, and they seem to be actually moving them off the lots, considering the mark up our dealers are putting on them, Canadian cars are priced higher!, and thanks for sharing it with us Jack,

  • @BRENTHENRY1989 Hey, Brent! That's a great idea....same color scheme, old and new! White would be much easier to maintain...right now it's the dry season here...wash the vehicle, and in a couple hours there's a nice coat of dust on it. Definitely not for black vehicles! Do you have a price sticker on the vehicles up there?? I know some dealers add one of their own down here..."market adjustment" they say! That would not please me as a potential buyer! Thanks! :) Jack

  • @raconter1 for the $41,000 model down there with the 6.2 and black or white paint, its about $56,000 up here, plus HST and other fees etc. I think.

  • @riverdave7 Hey, David! Amazing! In a way, I'm surprised that the super truck market is still alive and apparently well. I guess big expenditures don't bother a person when it's something they have to have! Thanks! :) Jack

  • @raconter1 Today, i made an appointment to check out one of these badboys, you know, see whats up, and i was with the salesguy in the interior, and all of a sudden hes like "Well thats what sync, Lets go for a ride!" I nearly shat my pants. I love this thing. SO much indeed, that i think were gonna.. Well ill let ya know what happens when it happens;)

  • @riverdave7 Hey, David! I'm sure it is an impressive ride! Good salesman know that the key to sales is getting the prospective customer to take a ride..I hope you can work out a deal! Let me know what happens! Thanks! :) Jack

  • Despite that i think that big trucks are a penis enlarger, i still think that car is wicked! Unfortunate that it is not in orange:/

  • @torjusb Hey, Torjus! Freud and Ford are both happy to hear that! LOL! Black looks wicked, but orange would be much easier to maintain and it would be a real attention-getter! Thanks! :) Jack

  • Looks great! Saw one of these today at the dealership here :D

  • @JesseAndMike Hey, guys! Do I see one in your future?? :D Jack

  • f150 is the most stolen car in houston......i think i will never buy one......nice truck but just asking to get stolen here......lol

  • @rush2112mn That is a very good point...something that I don't think is really taken under consideration nearly enough. ...when I'm interested in a car, I call the insurance company to see how much it would cost to insure it! Certainly if it had to be parked in an unsecured area, the Ford truck would be a big temptation..particularly one as expensive and outfitted as well as this one is. Thanks! :) Jack

  • Makes me think of a big Tonka Toy. LOL!!

  • @bimjales Hey, Jim! Yeah, there is that quality to it...big and uncompromising! Tonka would be well advised to fashion one of theirs after this one! Thanks! :) Jack

  • SVT put a great suspension under this blue oval, it'll be Fast On Rough Dirt for sure. Thanks for the vid Jack.

  • @mtnman3MTA3 Yeah, it looked very impressive! Thanks! :) Jack

  • the power wagon has nothing up against the raptor this is the off road truck to have too bad i cant afford one

  • @leadfoots70 Hey, Ron! I read a review of this truck in Baja California...they were very impressed with it! Thanks! :) Jack

  • both the hood and side vents are functional heat extractors

  • @EatmyDust1311 Thanks for the info! :) Jack

  • @raconter1 if theres anything you want to know about the Raptor you cand find me and others at svtoffroad dot com and fordraptorforum dot com

  • Nice truck, I always liked the F-series pick ups, especially the older ones (pre-1990) they were great vehicles in most ways. The problem I have with stuff like this though, is why would anyone need something this big as a daily driver, it seems so unnecessary in my opinion, the older F-series were much better & much more usable, this is more like Bigfoot's illegitimate offspring... You could use a truck like this to move a moon out of orbit, I believe the 'Lightning' was a much better truck :)

  • @drewerz01 the lightining was a useless truck.. the raptor is way better in every possible way

  • @EatmyDust1311 you like what you like man and thats cool. I just can't put $50,000 for a 4x4 that when I go off roading in the long term busting up my suspension. A basic 4x4 will do fine and in my opinion if your not going to use the truck for it's intended purpose why waste $50,000 when you can go buy a 60s muscle car.

  • @jayrod68 dont bash a truck because it wasnt built for your purpose. why would they strip this thing out? it starts at 38k thats not a lot for what it can do and its only 3k more than the fx4 starts

  • @jayrod68 i know a lot of people that do use this truck for its intended purpose of blasing through Anza-Borrego

  • @drewerz01 Hey, Mike! I think the real purpose of a truck like this is offroading or driving on impossible back roads with abandon. It is purpose built for this kind of use, and that is how I would use it if I had one. Of course, when you have something like this, you want to show it off, so a trips to McDonald's with this are mandatory! :D Thanks! :) Jack

  • It looks cool but its just so BIG! Who can load someting in a bed that you have to have a ladder to access?

  • @1DRock37167 Hey, Daryl! I think BIG is the point here...it adds to the effect! LOL!

But, Ford engineers have thoughtfully added the "man step" to the tailgate area...

    Thanks! :D Jack

  • That truck is just too expensive unfortunately. I'd take alot of of the luxury crap out. Really what they need to do is bring back the lightning. I honestly don't think a project is really becoming a good idea. It raining down hear in New Orleans to much school is about to start up again. Saving the money might be a better really. I really don't want any other car right now than a 68 camaro but my friends all have projects of the own plus I still have to repair the body on my 88 f150 so.

  • @jayrod68 oh good, bring back a useless go fast truck that nobody would buy. thats what ford needs right now, a short bed regular cab truck with nothing special but a supercharrger.. yeah.

  • @EatmyDust1311 ford is doing fine. they can afford it right now. and they keep their niche customers happy and coming back for more.

  • @musclecarfreek04 i know, i bought one. they cant build them fast enough

  • @EatmyDust1311 Congrats on your purchase! :) Jack

  • @jayrod68 Hey, Jay! There's no doubt that this is the truck for someone who has MULTIPLE new vehicles...and it is just another diversion. Utility isn't really part of the equation. Thanks! :) Jack

  • The Raptor is one amazing truck. It has the best suspension that has ever been put under a factory production truck. Nothing else even comes close. I'd definitely go for the higher horsepower engine......the first one's that came out were a little under powered.

  • @RamblinAround Hey, Jeff! It certainly impressed me as not just a big truck with a big engine..this has the underpinnings to go with it..and is what I would choose if I wanted to go offroading! Thanks! :) Jack
