@kotaeatu some anime never really finish, theyr just there to get you hooked on the story. you wanna hear more about kenichi, find the manga. that's still going ongoing (make sure it's kenichi history's strongest disciple, there's 2, the other one is a lot shorter n is a different story all together but with the same characters. still quite cool but better to just think of it as an alternative dimension n nothing to do with the anime

Funimation licensed the first 25 episodes for English Dub while there are 50 episodes and span till chapter 143 of the Manga. Also I prefer the original Japanese voice over the dubs since original always better.

i can't speak on the story since i've just started the manga but i can remind you that it's shounen (meaning it's a guy's comic) so they make most of the girls babes with ridiculous figures. that's all part of the fun for me cuz it's so ridiculous (especially the awkward situations). it's not like i'm actually watching for that, otherwise i'd just go watch hentai.

If you know how to speak Japanese they kinda are. Language isn't just a bunch of words its a reflection of a culture. So there are a lot of things in the Japanese language that English won't be able to express the same way.

it's true that it shows it's own culture, it's also true in the dubs the american actors can't always show the culture very well, but the translators for Funimation know this(or i think they do LOL) and their trying to show people like me who don't know Japanese the Japanese culture.

well I see what you mean by that. But you need to look at Japanese dub of American stuff like Spongebob Squarepants (you're going to go crazy and probably hate that dub). Also American game with JApanese dubs like Gears of War and Halo have diffferences from the American one.

Well games are kinda okay since they kinda have pretty bad voice acting or its very malleable to begin with. For example Metal Gear pulled it off quite well its believable from the Japanese perspective and also to the American one since they were made by both American and Japanese designers so they were careful to not include cultural references that only certain a certain language could express.

no they are not. They can't. They are completely unable to translate the series correctly. The horrific which are words that signify age or respect added to the end of a name cannot be added in a dub. Certain foods cannot be translated cause they make no sense in a dub without notes at the top. The only word they'll keep for this particular series is sensei which means teacher. Even then they'll screw it up because in Japan it comes after the name and in america it comes after. Dub=bad usually.
