yes I know he was on Sullivan for almost a decade and actuallyclosed down the Sullivan show forever in the 70s.. However, this particular performance of "Strangers" was what I was speaking about. This song was not performed on Sullivan or American TV at all. I believe it was performed in a South AMerican show where Topo went after Sullivan ended. I know he became a huge hit in other countries afterwards and sang songs in Spanish, Italian and English (even in Spanish speaking countries).

This is the most amazing video I have seen from the 60's. To think they were doing this without the help of digital effects is amazing. Its an iconic age defining act, and had it been shown on Sullivan, it may have gotten him his own show!! I wonder why the Gigio people didn't do these acts on Sullivan? Maybe they weren't allowed the airtime or it was too sophisticated for the American audience at the time? Or maybe Sinatra didn't want to be upstaged by a mouse? haha
