It was the Soviet Red Army that forcibly divided Korea, by installing an unwanted communist dictatorship in the north. Truman allowed it to happen because he wanted to appease Stalin. But if it weren't for the US-led intervention in the Korean war, South Korea would've been conquered and forced to become communist.

Liu Xiaobo does not support imperialism, he made one comment about Hong Kong that was taking completely out of context by western Communists. The real imperialists were the Soviets who illegally occupied northern Korea and installed an unwanted dictatorship against the will of the people. before 1945 Pyongyang was the Jerusalem of the East...then the Soviets showed up quoting a German philosopher and shooting innocent people. It doesn't matter what communism was "originally made to be." Capitalism isn't the utopia promised by Milton Friedman, but its a hell of a lot better than the *reality* created by Marx's followers. The "rich industrialists" in my country are regulated by federal law, which is made by democratically elected representatives, who are chosen through free elections, which you are lucky enough to take for granted.
