Assuming that you are on AM, you have demonstrated that your transmitter is being over modulated. The power should remain fairly constant up to 100% modulation. When you over modulate you cause the final in the transmitter to "swing", thus creating distortion, odd harmonics and spurious emissions. If your power varies widely with modulation, you are operating poorly. Adjust your modulation to 100% peaks and you will have a cleaner signal, and your transmitter and amp will last longer.

Hello, maby you did not see the Bird peak reading meter in line. My Henry would key 500-2500w RMS comfortably and peak to 6KW+.

I did see your videos on Wizard, and I don't boast his measured output. I just claim what my equipment's output has shown me.

This is From the bird company. thy say that you can read am power from a bird peak meter this is what thy sent to me.If you are using a 43P you will be able to measure power with the 43 and AM. You will see the needle moving with modulation. On page 48 of the attachment you will see a chart of Bird meters and what to expect with different types of modulation. It will help you greatly. SO OH2FFY is full of SHIT! so your reading are right.

You do of course realize that the Henry 8K cannot make 6000W.

In AM mode the best possible is approximately 1500W.,, a little bit more if you wish to risk the tubes.

You CANNOT measure power in AM mode with a meter like that.

That is why you see a highly elevated measurement.

But it is for sure, their ain't no 6000W coming from Henry , not now , not ever.

I love CB''rs , they are fun. - - - - gullible , but fun. :-)
